I had nooooo clue what curling was but I'm glad i got invited to try... this was amazing!! my assigned teacher Mike was sooo nice and patient he made the experience better than i Imagined. Although i sucked, i still walked away with the desire to try again. One thing i did wrong, which affected my experience was i didn't really look into what curling was. Its ONNNNNN ice and in an ice skating rink... which means it's COLD!! The temp inside stays around 45 degrees. Make sure you bundle up, Bundle uppppp!!! Scarf, ear warmers, good socks and a nice sweater or sweatshirt. don't wear your fancy sneakers either because you drag your front part of your foot. They offer community scarves and things butttt i just can't wear someone else's scarf. But they offered accessories if you wanted/ need to borrow them. This place is super chill and has a cozy sitting area with couches and tables. If you want to chill and talk with friends or celebrate something in a different environment this is a great place for that. My friend brought snacks and set up up at the table and we would take mini breaks and grab a few bites throughout the night. There were other groups there that did their own thing at another sitting area near by. Idk if they had food tho. Outside of warm clothes you do not need to bring anything. They provide the covers for the bottom of your shoes. Seriously this was fun, give it a try

Incredible experience! The entire staff was very friendly & engaging. You can tell they are all passionate about their sport but in a fun way. I recommend going with at least one other person but it's taught in groups. At the end of Curling 101 you get to play an actual game. It's very social and my experience came with lots of laughs. It's on ice so dress for winter lol. I wish I had thicker socks and gloves with a rubber palm for sweeping. FYI: It's located behind the Kroger AND behind the ice skating rink with open parking. I highly recommend checking this activity out!!! Who knows, you might be the next Olympic curler ‍ We had the pleasure of working with Jessica Schultz, Olympic Curler!!! Thx & Best Wishes!!!

Let me start by saying please dress in layers!! So, my friend asked if I wanted to go curling. Of course, I agreed but didn't totally process everything. Your on ice so it is going to be very cold. Hat, scarf, gloves, coat & double socks are a necessity. Mike was an awesome teacher/coach!! He taught is the lingo, moves & strategy of the game. Now, what I am still not sure of is if we were supposed to tip him. This place was set up really cool. There is, of course, the curling floor (ice rink). Then, they have couches & other seating outside the rink w/a few tvs. My friend brought refreshments and drinks for us. I will definitely go back & tell everyone I know about this place. It is nowhere near where I live but definitely worth the drive.

You know if you've watched it on TV you've wanted to try it and this is the place in Atlanta to do so. They are very knowledgeable, fun to work with, and make your training session worth while. I'd definitely recommend wearing some warm gear (especially for you life long Southerners ). Since there is ice involved there's obviously the conditions to keep the ice, well ........ cold. All the equipment is provided as well as the refreshments. The only thing you need bring is yourself, a body that is ready to work (it did take much more physical and mental energy than I expected, but was will worth it), and patience. You should understand that you're not going to be Olympic ready by the time you walk out the door.

Fun for the family. A great way to spend time not in front of the tv. The beginners class was interesting and fun. $$

Joining Life Time has been one of the best decisions our family has made…read more Like many busy professionals, I had built a great home gym over the years. What I didn't realize I was missing was the energy that comes from being surrounded by people pursuing health, wellness, growth, and recovery. What sets Life Time apart is that it isn't just a gym. It's an ecosystem built around helping people become the healthiest version of themselves. One day I may run laps on the indoor track. Another day I may focus on strength training, core work, boxing, stretching, or recovery. There are machines and training areas for every fitness level and every goal imaginable. Treadmills, weights, functional fitness spaces, recovery tools, massage chairs, stretching equipment, steam rooms, hot tubs, infrared saunas, traditional saunas, cold recovery spaces, and more. And yes, there are televisions everywhere filled with sports. Lots and lots of sports. The atmosphere is contagious. You are surrounded by people investing in themselves, challenging themselves, and pursuing healthier lives. One of the lessons I recently wrote about in my article Dynamic Stretch + Recovery is that growth doesn't happen during the workout alone. Growth happens in the recovery. Muscles strengthen when they are challenged and then given time to rebuild. The same is true in life. The best leaders understand this. The healthiest people understand this. Strong performance requires intentional recovery. Life Time has reminded me of that truth. For me, the traditional sauna has become a favorite place to reflect, pray, recover, and simply be still. It is often in those quiet moments that I find clarity, gratitude, and perspective. What has surprised me most is how much our entire family loves it. My daughter is having a blast with the pools, water slides, and activities. The outdoor beach club atmosphere, music, and weekend events make it feel more like a resort than a gym. My husband has found a place to exercise, stay active, and invest in his health as well. We joined thinking we were purchasing a fitness membership. What we found was community, family experiences, wellness, recovery, inspiration, and joy. In a world that constantly tells us to do more, Life Time reminds us that our health, our families, and our well-being are worth investing in too. Grateful we made the decision.

If you like to run they have options. Also If you need another office space. I work in the concourse and many of us have access to their own offices and common offices so i wasn't really a fan of anything i saw. Also there's no incentives for people that work in the concourse. I was hoping for a reason to switch to this gym but every dot they dotted and t they crossed didn't pass for me. I would've preferred more modern units, more benches and definitely more dumbbells. My local Y actually beat them on raw weight and benches. Oh and this gym is actually cheaper in NY. If that makes sense.

So it's gonna suck for about a year maybe, then when all the upgrades are done and you finally get to take advantage of an upgraded club, I bet they're going to raise your membership fee! Here's what I'm doing instead: Forum Athletic Club is $15.00 a week or $60 a month. Dynamo Swim Club has awesome swim facilities for a 55 and over pass of $37.00. That's half of the 125.00 I"m paying at Concourse. At some point I'll come back to CAC b/c it's a really nice gym but in the transition, save your money...

If that's not PICKLEBALL PARADISE then I don't know what is. The cost per month is $139 but there are often great introductory offers that make it more affordable to join. I will say that the daily drop-in play cost isn't really worth it. If you come 3 times per week each month, then the cost of unlimited play per day is about $10, which is a steal compared to other rates around the country. The real emphasis of Ace Pickleball Club is open play so you can't reserve courts at night or on weekends, which means you can often play nonstop for hours on end unlike at tennis clubs or other facilities. The level of play (beginner, intermediate, advanced) is entirely up to you and the courts provide signage to help guide you. Lastly, the staff at Ace Pickleball Club are always SUPER friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you. Other perks of being a member include free social mixers, clinics, paddle demos, ball machine rentals, glow-in-the-dark nights, and entry into the APC Member Championship Series w/ a $250K prize pool. TL;DR - Ace Pickleball Club is the absolute BEST place for every day pickleball play in Atlanta if not the ENTIRE country. It's a place to come elevate your game and make pickleball friends regardless of the weather outside or whatever else is going on in your life. This is the place to be present and alive.
