The chicken was well seasoned and and the sauce was a delight pallette off new flavor. I used the future to eat up every last bit of it off our plates. The goat curry was also yummy. My companions favorite item was the beans. I loved the coconut flavor, it could have used a titch of salt. The Chapati (bread) was insanely. Buttery, flaky, and chewy. We didn't try the fish but it looked so good at the table next to us. Rice was also well seasoned. Good on it's own but didn't change the flavor of the curry.

Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

The sambusa was fresh, flavorful, and balanced. I loved the chapati, particularly with the green sauce (which they were so kind as to provide more of when I ran out). I ordered the rice and goat entree, and I'm still craving more. The rice was incredibly flavorful and earthy, and the goat was rich and perfectly cooked. I will be back, and you should come try it too.

You can tell the dishes are prepared the traditional way, and everything tasted homemade and satisfying. If you enjoy bold seasoning and hearty meals, you won't be disappointed. The portions were generous and well worth the price, and the menu offers a good variety whether you're trying something new or ordering a familiar favorite. The injera was fresh and soft, and the meats and stews were flavorful without being overly heavy. Service was friendly and welcoming. The staff made us feel comfortable and were happy to answer questions about the menu, which is great if it's your first time trying this type of cuisine. The ambiance is simple and casual, not fancy, but clean and comfortable. It's more of a relaxed, laid-back spot than a formal dining place, which actually fits the experience well. Overall, this is a solid place for authentic African food. If you're looking for real flavor and a warm atmosphere rather than a trendy restaurant vibe, Horn of Africa is definitely worth visiting. I'll be coming back.
