We have been able to count on them through simple pet care to complex medical issues in our dogs. Equally important is the kind personal attention and care they have always given our Goldens, from puppyhood through old age. The techs are knowledgeable and helpful as well - both the "old guard" and their newer replacements. Skilled, resourceful, caring people who know and love animals. Doesn't get better than that.

However we agreed that if surgery was imminent that we agreed to the surgery and just to call us to let us know if surgery was warranted. Again we signed and initialed both cost estimates with surgery and without (see images) I ended up calling the hospital around 1:40pm to ask how he was doing. Around 2:30pm I had received a phone call back from Dr. Faith Wright. She informed me that Ollie was doing well. They had taken 2 x-rays and could not view any issue; so the doctor gave him 2 cans of dog food and did another 2 x-rays, just to be sure. She stated he was showing no symptoms and no blockage. I will attach Ollie's Vet Bill, Ollie's bloodwork and Ollies X-rays. The vet (Dr. Faith) had also provided an additional 4 cans of food for Ollie to bring home to eat for a couple of days (see Invoice image) The hospital provided Ollie with antacid medicine Friday. On MONDAY, October 16th, 2023. My friend had offered to help pay for Ollie's vet bill and take him to the clinic.I had called Delhi Animal Clinic on Monday morning. I was unsure if I was going to take Ollie back or try to find another Office that would see him. I had requested that Delhi Animal Hospital send me his bloodwork and his X-rays from Thursday. They had sent me those files to my email. I had forwarded those docs to Steph and her colleague (whom is a retired Veterinarian to look at). At this point Ollie was barely alert, he was hurting and he was just standing oftentimes to alleviate his pain. His gums were sticky to the touch, his breath stunk. He was badly dehydrated it was critical that he get care. Out of options, Steph had called the hospital back. They had informed Steph to bring him in by 11am, otherwise he would not be seen. Ollie had been at the hospital for almost 6 hours. Steph again had to reach out to call about Ollie just before the office. They had found a blockage in his lower intestines and would be performing exploratory surgery on Ollie. WEDNESDAY, October 18th, 2023. Ollie was to be discharged at 9am.We really felt that Ollie had suffered tremendously. We hoped the hospital would not double charge for the hospitalization fee and any repeat lab/Xrays. They did! Instead this Veterinarian (Dr. Faith Wright) decided to say that she knew of the blockage on Thursday but because we were limited on funds they would not perform the surgery. Now mind you we signed a CONSENT for surgery on Thursday. What she had stated was not the truth. She also stated that the reason they did not perform surgery was because he was dehydrated. She told me she gave him fluids Thursday! This again leads to another lie. I ask WHY if knowing what Dr. Faith "knew" Thursday...Why feed my dog? WHY charge dog food? Why give me scripts knowing they would not help Ollie on Friday? Why give me scripts with directions that state to feed with food? Please read the dates of all documents and script bottles in the attached images. It makes me beyond livid to know someone (a doc) no less has the capacity to not only blatantly LIE to me. But also charge an additional $1600 for surgery on a quote that was between $900-$1200. She not only double charges but adds to the suffering of my dog.To make matters worse Dr. Faith emails me (see image) stating that she no longer wishes to see Ollie at her practice. You do not need to worry about my animals being seen in your practice. I would rather go to a practice that is PROFESSIONAL, and has COMPASSION for animals. I would NEVER recommend anyone to take their animal here. The blatant lies of this doctor. She double charges for multiple X-rays (read quotes and invoices). The right thing to do Dr. Faith (unlike your namesake) was to do a refund of the office visit on October 12th. You took advantage of our situation, you used a dog and your position as the head Vet of your clinic and abused your power, for money. At what end? The expense of our dog's health! HE COULD OF DIED!

The Dr. and the techs were so wonderful to me and my family. I was heartbroken and beside myself. They let me take all the time I needed and even took it upon themselves to emboss a resting place for her. 3 days ago I received a condolence card and a paper like thing with wildflowers in it in the shape of a heart to plant at her resting place at home. I had her for 17 years. I am truly grateful for Dr. Alden and her techs. My fiance, mother and my son who were with me appreciate every one of them

I asked how much it cost, and she said $100.00 per vial. I told her I cannot afford that once a week which would have been what she would need. When I told her I couldn't afford the insulin and would she please write out a script for the Walmart insulin which many Veterinarians will use for dogs and the cost is $25.00! She said "If you can't afford it maybe you should give her to someone who can afford it". She was very rude. The following visit I saw a tech. He checked her blood sugar and it went up rather than down. He literally told me off! I walked out after three hours of Dr. Alden calling places to provide one time charity for me to get insulin for my dog. Without my permission or my asking. After that waiting time for nothing, I left the office crying. When I got out to my car, two emplyees came to my car before I got out of the parking lot to sign paperwork which basically said I will not hold them responsible should something happen to my dog. At that point I didn't care what they did with their damn papers. I signed them and told them I will not be back. I said perhaps Dr. Alden should know a persons history before judging. My husband and I had gotten our dog together and could afford everything for her. My husband died young 4 months later. I was a young widow and trying my best to help my baby girl who I loved to death. Instead of asking how can I help, She insisted i buy the expensive insulin. I never took my dog back there again. Jad Dr. Alden started her on the other much cheaper brand of insulin, she would have been fine. Instead my dog suffered for 8 months and was on 80 units of insulin a day and costing me $400.00 a week. That drained my saving account, and did nothing to lower my dog's blood sugar. She went blind over night, she died 8 months later. I did my part, She failed my 8 year old lab and me. I have no respect for anyone in that office. I highly recommend you stay away from them unless you want to lose all of your money and your pet.

Marbletown AH is owned by a private equity group out of EU that owns many different vet practices, which means that you'll likely experience what I did. My cat was a patient here for five years, she was recently seen by a different vet, who recommended a surgery that went wrong and performed procedures I did not approve, and then never returned three emergency texts and calls, nor apologized for a number of issues that put my cat in jeopardy. Which led me to complain and raise a number of issues; which led me to discover this is not my local queer inclusive accountable vet but actually a part of A CHAIN and just another capitalistic infrastructure that has zero local accountability to the animals and people that trust them. Woodstock and Argos are still locally owned. Go here at your own risk **Update: MAH escalated this to the corporate entity that owns them, who outsourced it to a claims specialist to assess risk of lawsuit. There was low risk assessed, so therefore no apology, accountability, or restitution. Instead of anybody there just saying " We are so sorry for your experience "I'm talking to a guy Named James who's running statistical analysis and how much it's gonna cost them to not apologize.**
