I needed a ride to a truck rental facility approximately 7.5 miles away. The first quote I received, from a very prominent transportation provider was $65. I then contacted Arkway Taxi and was quoted $20. The driver Camil was professional, courteous, and we had a very interesting conversation. Camil arrived at the time requested, was polite, knowledgable, and I felt as if I were being driven by a friend. Totally enjoyable! If I could give them a zero I would. I called on a Monday and reserved a pickup to go to the airport at 8:30 am on Wednesday. At 8:35 no one showed. I called and the Mansger/owner was surprised and said he had to call the driver and would call me right back. Ten minutes later there was no call back, so I called him again. He told me the driver's car had broken down. So why didn't the driver call us or least his own manager? I asked when someone else would be there to pick us up. He responded he did not have anyone else he could send!!!!. I asked him why couldn't he come get us. He said he was out of town! We understand cars break down, but the total lack of communication and no backup for this type of service is totally unacceptable. If you need a taxi call someone else or use UBER. read more

I requested a ride for someone else and Camil at Arkway was very responsive, on time, and welcoming (even though the passenger was demanding). Camil called me along the way to provide an update on how things were going with the ride and he was patient when the passenger asked to stop so she could find something by the road. For the most comfortable & professional ride, book with Arkway. It should really be called Camil Taxi because of the congenial, helpful, and efficient Camil who owns the service. His cars are immaculate, well maintained, spacious, and comfortable. Camil was on the dot for the appointed pickup, which is always greatly appreciated when using any livery service. His driving was careful and mindful of everything around him on the roads. Arkway's fares are comparable if not less than competitive taxi service. Camil takes both cash and credit cards. I observed that he is very accommodating and calm with more needy customers, eg those who may specify preferred routes as if they are Mr Google Earth, or who may need duplicate explanations about fares. I wanted to blurt out, "It might be nice to pay attention the first time?!" But I didn't. Heck, that could've been me; I have way too many moments of my own when I don't always compute. So. Called a day before to set up transport to the airport for a 5am pickup. The taxi never showed up, called the office but they were closed and went to voicemail. Had to uber to get to airport, only made it an hour before flight left. read more

I called the afternoon before for a 4:30 am ride to the airport. I immediately was told yes they can pick up and it was a very reasonable price. The driver called to confirm pickup about 8 hours beforehand. The van arrived a few minutes early, was clean and the driver was extremely nice. I highly recommend. Please note that I made this reservation after I did some research and got nervous when i discovered my Uber "reservation" did not guarantee me a ride to the airport and I would not know that until the end of my pickup window. I also called a different shuttle service first, they said they had no available driver and that 2 other taxi companies they worked with had no available drivers. BOOK ELSEWHERE! While my driver was on-time and friendly, I was overcharged and picked up in a random, old, unmarked mini-van not a taxi or town car. When I made my reservation, I received no confirmation and had to make sure someone was coming at 3am - a little disconcerting. Then I was quoted $60 but charged $70. I called Arkway for transport from Naples to RSW. Ashley, the driver, was fantastic. (It was kind of nice to have a female driver!) She called the night before to confirm the address (which I texted back). I liked this because I am a nervous sort and it was nice to have the confirmation. She showed up a few minutes early and let me know she was there. We had a nice chat on the way to the airport. The car was older, but clean. Called and asked for a pickup at 4:50 PM. Dispatcher said taxi would arrive in 15 min. Called back after 20 min. and dispatcher asked for our address again. Told me he would have driver call. Driver called a few minutes later and asked for our address and indicated the dispatcher only provided our phone number. After getting our address she called back to tell us she would be another 15 min. We were supposed to meet friends for sunset (5:45 PM) at the beach and finally arrived a bit before 6:00 PM. The driver never apologized for being so late and, we had to give her directions on how to get to the beach! read more

We used Arkway (minivan) in March 2016, Naples to Fort Meyers airport, and they did a great job. Arkway was reasonably priced compared to two other places we called for quotes found through yelp. They were on time and got us to Fort Meyers in short order. Only reason for not giving 5 out of 5 was when paying by credit card the mobile payment reader (square) was acting up. It took at least 5 minutes to pay. Taxes were applied after tip amount which we thought was odd - but service was very good so we were happy. We'd use again and recommend others do the same.
