I left my appointment and sat in the car both in shock, and crying after my visit. not only did Dr. Arla insult the psychiatric nurse practitioner I was seeing, but refused to listen to me speak whatsoever, refused to give me a referral or recommendation to see a psychiatrist that would meet *his* standards- but he began yelling about how he has had to shut down another facility and had no staff due to lazy people wanting to collect unemployment insurance. I'm not sure what that had to do with me or my visit, but I was very shaken and upset after this. It didn't stop there, either. as he walked out of the room he began rallying all of the staff loudly to post notes everywhere for people who wear perfume or cologne to be escorted out- because he didn't like my perfume. I've never in my life witnessed such unprofessional behavior from a healthcare professional. read more

Great doctors nurses are all great. However I have new insurance I made a appt looking for advice on a dangersous depression. I was in. I left my card at home the lady at the desk said I needed it. I came back a few days later with card. Wrong doctor's name on it. NOPE she said I had to have the correct dorctors name or the bill would not get paid. I told her I was in rough shape because bi polar depression. When I walked to the window. Still no help. If I make it.to see the doctor I will let his or who I see know. I'm positive they have no idea how pathic customers are treated. read more

Answering service is Horrible, they make no effort to assist you. Dr Arla is difficult to talk to. Very unsatisfied. I care for my 87-year-old elderly father who has dementia and Parkinson's. And I can get no assistance or help from Dr Arla's office who has been caring for my father for over 45 years read more

I took my wife to her new doctor. Well this is Bullitt County and Dr. Arla. We drive up and the sign I see is Family Pracitioners. Yes the sign is missing a T. I asked my wife if she really wanted to go here. She asked why? I told her to look at the sign. She asked why again. I told her that practitioner was spelled wrong on the sign. We walk in and they have the smallest waiting room that I have ever seen. Oh, by the way, they told my wife she had high blood pressure as well. Just like all of the other reviews. They should monitor her blood pressure, not just give her meds on the first visit. Wow really. read more

Broke my sternum when a lady crossed into my lane and hit me head on. The staff was very rude, didn't understand English very well and kicked me out because my attorney wouldn't agree to pay them out of her pocket when I had PIP on my car insurance and I had full coverage. I went to Dr Arlas office wanted him (Mohanna Arla) To see me,he was busy. So i told the first available, I seen Allison Rowland ( Nurse Practitioner). She was very nice had good bedside manners. I needed my Diabetes medicine and she said she ordered me antibiotics for my sinus infection. Went to hillview kroger 4 hours later to pick up meds. She never sent the meds over to kroger had to go all weekend without blood sugar medication. Not good. read more

I am writing this because they must have paid to remove my previous review. I visited this office for a yearly check up and was above perfect blood pressure by 5 points. The doctor explained that I needed to get on Meds immediately. I said, maybe I should try to exercise once and a while and stop drinking every night. He replied that exercise never helps...? I then asked if the meds, once started, must be taken for life. He responded "It's only one pill a day." I was so mad the doctor had no intention of helping me. I had no idea he was just another pill pusher. And people wonder why bullitt county has a pill problem. I would highly recommend another doctor first if your health is a priority. i just recently started going to Dr.Arla.Ive seen different Drs sometimes,but they are all just wonderful. They listen and take their time. I just love Dr. Arla hes very thorough and they're all caring! If you have an insurance plan that requires referrals to see specialists, DO NOT COME HERE. The referral lady is extremely rude and unprofessional, and that's putting it as nice as I possibly can. I will be changing my doctor because of this lady. read more

All of Dr. Arla's associates are nice, good beside manner. His daughter is the best, she really takes her time with you and is friendly, but her hours there are sporadic. His son, Arla Jr. also works there and he's great too. Be prepared to wait a LONG time both in the waiting room and in the back, they are always overbooked. read more

Dr. Arla and his actual physicians are great. The administrative staff, however, could use lessons in professionalism and common courtesy. These gals just don't get it. Arguing with each other in presence of patients, arguing with customers, and constant coding errors are just a few experiences I've had with minimum visits. I would not recommend this dr office I have a different dr every time and they all have different ways of wanting to treat me one dr will say "this is the way to do it" and when you go back another time the other one will say "you shouldn't be taking that it will hurt your organs". I get so confused when I go here. The reception lady was nice when I arrived but after my appt was over when I was told my meds that I needed were sent over to the pharmacy they never were and when I called back to see when they were going to send them I was given a different phone number to call and when I called it all I got was an answering machine that said they were busy right now and I'll leave your name number and they will call you back I waited for 4 hours and no one still hadent called me back and when I called the office again the lady that answered the phone said " I can't help it if they don't answer their phone" and she hung up on me. Very rude and horrible customer service. I would never recommend anybody to go here and I will be taking my medical records somewhere else. All they cared about was getting my money. Just giving a update on dr arla, the referral that was supposed to be sent over to a specialist doctor from Dr. Arla still hasn't happened and it's been a week and when my medicine finally did get to the pharmacy when the pharmacist called Dr. Arla to find out more information on the prescription Dr. Arla told them he didn't have time and hung up on the pharmacy.
