I was quite surprised by the selection Here and it's authenticity. I learned quickly that the pottery and jewelry is indeed from native tribes from the four corners. And it sure is beautiful! This shop has a mix of touristy items as well. Arlene's has a lung history in Tombstone and continues to honor their traditions of sourcing handmade artwork. Worth a stop! read more

Do not go in this store if you have impulsive children or adults! My child is very impulsive and picked up a flute and blew into it for a second. This resulted in us being forced to buy this overpriced wooden flute ($107 at the time) due to their health policy. To be very clear the flutes are not behind glass or out of reach of young hands. They are easily accessible to young hands (approximately 7-8 year old and up). While I personally agree with the health policy, I feel that the owner of this shop is using this policy to their advantage by making the flutes easily accessible with very small notice cards stating to ask for a straw, but if you blow into the flute you have to buy it. These cards and straws could have been made more obvious and the flutes put further out of reach. This is borderline between a bad business decision and outright scam. read more

My sister and I came to Tombstone and really enjoyed working with Laura for a pair of earrings that are Najavo made. The uniqueness of the earrings were what sold us. For sure one of us was purchasing them. I purchased from the Arlene's across the street a metal cactus and a metal dragonfly. Arlene's is one of the cornerstone stores in Tombstone. I've been visiting on/off for the last 30 years. The store front hasn't really changed but the merchandise has and not in a good way. Back in the day, Arlene's sold some of the very best Native American artwork in the Southwest, now what you see is like any other Tombstone store... "made in China" crap. I applaud the jewelry selection however with all the gifted Native and local artist in the region, the current owners need to go back to their original roots and proudly display them, as they use to. Tombstone as a whole would do much better to support local artists from the region by switching back vs crap made from oversees. Seriously this is Americana and should be proudly displayed, but isn't. Tourism is the key... p pole want authentic. Hint hint. read more

My husband made a purchase here in April for a gift to send me. 2 of the rings he picked didn't end up fitting so I called to ask if we could exchange. Fast forward to June -- they allowed me to bring the rings and exchange them for an equal price. Kathy was very polite, helpful and personable. The selection was great, as well as the experience. Sells fake posters purported to be true events! The poster that I bought from them was entitled "The Gathering" , a historical event supposedly to have taken place in Montana in 1883. I asked the manager of the store before I purchased the poster if the photo was real......the reply was absolutely! I returned home (200 miles) & googled this & it is 100% fake! Beware! read more

Nice little shop in downtown Tombstone. Staff was super friendly and helped us find something nice that was Navaho made. Staff didn't try to sell us anything we didn't want and she really listened to the kinds of things we were interested in and made some great suggestions. Found while wandering around Tombstone, tourists that we were. This was such a nice display of Native American goods, attractively displayed and good quality. Arlene's has several shops in Tombstone, including the jewelry store, a handcraft store, and another one on the same street. We purchased a Christmas ornament, but saw several other products that we liked, including a good assortment of handmade wood craft. This is a business that is definitely worth supporting, with their positive business practices and attractive, unique gifts. read more

Five stars for the awesome customer service that I received from Adam (VP/GM). We were in town for a visit and went into one of the Arlene's locations to find a bangle. A lovely European lady helped us choose two pieces and we went on our way. A few weeks after that, the middle section of stones from one of the bangles fell out. I was disappointed but contacted Arlene's to see what they could do for me and Adam promptly responded. He worked with me via email and with his help I ended up exchanging the bangle (which I returned by mail). Very happy customer! read more

I bought a necklace for my wife in April, paid almost $400 for it, was pretty but junk. It was not constructed correctly and would not lay flat. My wife tried and tried to wear it but was always turning over on her. We took a trip back out to Tombstone and the lady at Arlene's replaced the necklace with one that was made correctly and gave us a full refund on the original against the cost of the new one. The color isn't as nice but at least she will be able to wear it. So hat's off to Arlene's, the sales slip said no refunds but Arlene's made good on the deal. read more

If you want a ghostly experience, visit the Arlene's on the left of Allen Lane, it has the real floor where Whyatt Erp and Doc Holiday met and boy did I feel their fun and quirky spirits there yesterday!! They wanted me to spread the word that they want to Thank America and the Tombstone society for keeping their spirits alive (Literally) and to let every one know that THEY ALL ARE THE SHERIFFS IN THE TOWN AND WILL NOT ALLOW NO BAD SPIRITS TO HARM YA. So go with an open and quiet mind. Just allow yourself to open up and believe me, if you stand inside the door to the older Arlene's store.. they will bring you into their group. I have never experienced such power and just a darn right great group of beings. Special thanks to the auburn headed sales lady who witnessed my meeting the gang.. Yes... they are all the Erp brothers, Doc and 3 others I don't know.. There is no doubt and no mystery.. They are as real as ever. And they are GREAT! read more
