We wanted to check out the graveyard at the end of the day after touring the museums and watching the shows/reenactments/ and arrived at 5:15pm. The hours apparently differ on various platforms, e,g., Google, yelp, etc. and we showed up 15 minutes after they closed even though the website we were using indicated they were open and the door to the gift shop was unlocked. The gentleman sitting at the front greeted us in a very unwelcoming way with a loud and aggressive, "What?!???!?" when we walked in. I'm not sure I've ever been greeted in this way upon entering any type of establishment. He then told us that they were closed and we could "look over the fence if we wanted to see the graveyard." Definitely check out the pamphlet with the list of those buried in the graveyard and causes of death. Such interesting times back then!

Arizona 01-2024 Tony and I went to Tombstone Arizona and while there we visited Boothill Graveyard. Now, I have never paid to go to a cemetery and I'm not going to start now. So Tony and I just looked over the fencing. The reason these people can charge is because this graveyard was abandoned. They purchased and put a fence around and started charging. In most cases that's unlawful..anyway, I wouldn't give into the tourist trickery of it. I did buy a magnet though for my fridge collection I recommend you stopping if in the area, your choice if you pay or just look over the fence #bucketlisttriplisatony2024

Cool piece of 1800s history. A great self guided tour after experiencing Tombstone itself. The mix of marked and unmarked graves with some details of the folks buried there is interesting.

Very cool stop right when you enter town. They give you a site brochure that gives you facts & history which is very interesting to the town history. Gentleman who took our $12 (a good value) was super informative and funny! Nice little gift shop to exit through & very clean restrooms.

Referring to the number of men who died with their boots on, it is one of the best-known of the Boothill Graveyards and is one of the more popular tourist attractions in Tombstone. The cemetery was founded in 1878 and mostly stopped accepting new burials in 1883 after another cemetery was built in town. This is a must stop to see the final resting place of the men killed in the O.K. Corral shootout. As well, the humorous marker for "Lester Moore." Well worth the entrance fee which includes a brochure with a map of the burials. I suggest you go as soon as they open, before the heat of the day and before the dust gets kicked up by the shuffling feet. And while this is not an active cemetery, it is still a cemetery so be respectful. No shouting, no running, no animals. [Round number review 17500 overall - 86 in Arizona - 1018 of 2022.]

We stopped by here when we in Tombstone. They give you a guide pamphlet which tells some interesting stories about the people buried here. We came on Sun Oct 2nd right before sunset and got ALOT of mosquito bites. Try to stop by way before sunset.

The woman who took our money was friendly enough but simply insisted on us telling her where we heard about Tombstone. I mean, who hasn't heard of Tombstone? There are some clever epitaphs but I definitely would never return. Ok, it's something I can say I've been to, but I wouldn't drive halfway across the country to see it (like we did). Also, their website was wrong about the entrance price. It was $6 each not $3 each.

Boothill Graveyard is a must stop during your stay in historic Tombstone. Originally named Tombstone Cemetery back in 1878 it was the burial place for the towns first pioneers. As you pay a minimal entrance fee ( $4 I believe ) you will be given a pamphlet which will describe the 250 Graves and where to locate them. The McLaury gang and 2 of the Clantons ( The shootout at the OK Corral ) are buried here as well as many other towns folk who died of mysterious or unusual ways. To tour the whole Graveyard it won't take more than 20-30 minutes and just make sure to stop into their large souvenir/gift shop on your way out.

You have to go. As kitschy as it is there is plenty of good history right under your feet. The $3 admission is a steal. You get an informative brochure and the gatekeeper was more than happy to engage with historical anecdotes. We spent an hour and it flew by.

If you have any doubt about what a tough time the 1880s must've been, reading the re-rendered markers in the Boothill Cemetery seals the deal -- the lynched, murdered, and more reside here, including the infamous McLaury/Clanton crew from the shootout at the O.K. Corral. Hard not to wince at racial labeling on certain graves, but also a reminder of the real history of the area.

Only $4. If you're in the area taking in Tombstone you should stop. They give you a cool pamplet that tells about each person buried here. Some of the tombstones have funny wording on them. Might get boring fast for kiddos. ***On a side note lady that sold us tickets was sick. She was taking about how she couldn't smell anything. In this Covid world right now you should stay home if your sick!!***

Absolutely loved my Hr spent here walking around the 11 rows of famous people that knew this infamous town as their home. I love the fact that it's so original & hasn't been changed since the 1800s. $3 to walk around but imo so worth it to see the past

We stopped here on our way to Tombstone, I believe it was a $3 entrance fee. The person at the counter was super sweet and informative. She highlighted the map and the areas we needed to cover. The graveyard is pretty small, and I was surprised to see that the majority of the grave markers were replaced, since they were originally made of wood. The self guided tour, using the map provided, doesn't take very long. There are a few unique Graves, ones where ppl leave tokens for the dead (coins, poker chips, dollar bills, etc..). I couldn't find the Jewish memorial, there was a sign, but didn't see anything. Go there early in the day, it's so hot (we went in mid May). You'll be walking on dirt

BEST STORE IN TOMBSTONE !!!!…read more Honestly, I have to say I had a great time in this store/museum. This is a profound collection of multi-culture oddities! The staff who I believe were the owners, were fantastic! They were personable and knowledgeable and took great care in wrapping my delicate items (I purchased a fully articulated bird skeleton in a delicate glass case as well as a taxidermied furry bat) as well as some odds and ends, crystals, Buffalo teeth and some AMAZING buttons ! Marshall Applewhites "Beam me up"! Baaaahahahaha! Everything made it back to San Diego with no problem ! They also gave me a few free incense sticks and a tombstone sticker. I can tell that the owners absolutely love their store and one even commented that it was his dream to have this place. The energy is palpable and gratitude is genuine. I also appreciated hearing the gal very lovingly dispel stereotypes to a curious customer regarding voodoo/witchcraft and energy and spell work. The passion is noticeable. I encourage anyone to visit this store while you are in tombstone and see the cool museum in the back that is really neat! Support these folks ! Blessed be.

I'm not gonna buy this then" and slid it to her, and, in the rudest tone I have ever heard come out of anyone's mouth, she said "Well can you put it back then?". I am absolutely disgusted by this attitude, and the employee she was talking to looked at her then looked at me like she was disgusted too.
