I've been visiting this place for years and always enjoyed the live music, but the current staff…read more(two young girls and a curly-haired guy) is horrible. I was out alone that night and asked them to keep my drink behind the counter for a bit because I didn't want to leave it unattended for safety reasons while I stepped outside to smoke. When I came back, they couldn't find the drink, so I asked for another one at their expense, since it wasn't my fault they had lost it. Instead of handling the situation like proper human beings, they turned it into a huge problem and argued with me all together, even though I explained the situation multiple times in a reasonable way. At some point I just lost it and started raging, because this kind of service is disgusting. All three of them deserve to be fired immediately, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone as long as these bartenders are still around. I really hope the owner of Shapko sees this review and takes proper action, because uniting against your customers instead of handling things adequately is the worst thing you can do.
Cute jazz bar recommended by the locals! We were looking for chill activities near Old Nice and…read morethis was one. I recommend coming here around 10-10:30 before it gets crowded so you can at least get a seat or have some standing room because it gets packed quickly and then security starts only letting people in if there's room. The live music took a while to set up and they really only started playing around 11-ish. By then, it's super fun and everyone gets into it. In terms of drinks - for the love of god, DO NOT order a cocktail. The wine and beer is where it's at. If there is one thing to take away from this review, it is to order the wine or even a beer! There is little cell signal in the venue but somehow, you can get a few bars near the bar. It's open until 3 AM or so if you're looking to stay out late.

Wow, what a view!…read more View, views, views! Skip the line by buying online. Get here early, before the crowds, and you'll get all the pictures you need. If you've traversed all the way out to Ezé, the Jardin is a no-brainer. I'd say you can probably see all you need in about 30-60 minutes, depending on how much "Selfying" you'll be doing. I think it's about $7-10 USD, and worth it for the pictures alone. Bring drinks as some businesses aren't open early. ALSO, USE THE RESTROOM BEFORE HEADING UP TO EZÉ. Bathrooms don't open until like 10am. Have fun!

WOW! This is a hidden treasure in this neighborhood. During the day, you wouldn't even think about…read moregoing inside this bar, as it doesn't look inviting at all. But on Saturday night, this is the place to be. Well I should say most Saturday's. The place turns into a Jazz/improv concert joint, where musicians from all over the world come play with their instruments. I stood in the middle of people enjoying a great music and a drink. Most of the audience is made of musicians and singers, locals and not, cheering every so often for someone's solo performance. The atmosphere is contagious and you'll find yourself smiling. If you play an instrument, feel free to jump in. Drinks are cheap, music is good and the people are just happy to be there.

The promise of antique instruments brought me here on a rainy day in Nice, and I was not…read moredisappointed! While located in the old town part of Nice, the exterior of this museum is rather unassuming compared to what one might imagine when reading the description "17th century Baroque villa." The facade of stone walls and Juliette windows blends into the buildings around it and the museum sign isn't striking from a distance so you're apt to miss it if walking quickly past on the street. The museum has several floors, accessible by staircase, I don't recall seeing an elevator. The ticket room is directly to the left upon entry, €5 per adult ticket, though I'd separately purchased the €15 Nice museum pass which grants entry to 10 municipal museums over the course of 3 days. There is no air conditioning and minimal heating apparently--it was about 45 degrees F when I arrived in pouring rain, hoping to warm up inside, and instead I was greeted with a damp chilliness that followed me from outdoors. A few of the rooms with closed doors on the second floor were slightly better. The exhibits when I was there included a special feature on the 1st floor of the Trachel siblings (Dominique, Hercule, Joseph, Fanny) who were artists and their patron Charlotte de Rothschild, and their core collection of fascinating and mostly outmoded stringed instruments. Though I'm neither a musician or history buff, something about seeing the predecessors of current instruments as we know them gives an exciting glimpse into the sounds and sights of music and entertainment from European days gone past. While the people who once created and played these instruments are no longer here, their legacy remains in these impeccably crafted emblems of their time. Given the fairly small size of this museum you could easily walk in and out in 45min to 1 hour. Hours are 10-6 everyday except closed on Tuesdays and major holidays. There are bathrooms located on the ground floor.

Ambiance - Historic building, but unfortunately with limited access. We were looking forward to seeing more historical pieces. Clean toilets. But honestly, I could have skipped this museum. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success.
