This is a nice community park featuring lap pool, walking trail, dog park, and a playground area and workout area in back behind the pool. The playground area has some lovely old oak trees. Arlington has some great activities for small children on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In 2022 they also did a great Halloween trail and events including pumpkins in the pool and a Bark-o-Ween dog friendly event. There is good variety of trees and plants along the trail. The park borders a residential area and houses. There is a gym and updated bathrooms. There is a large stand of invasive Brazilian Pepper that needs removing from the park. More native plantings and no mow areas would be welcome. But overall this is a great park with a lot to offer for swimmers, walkers, dogs, children, nature lovers, and outdoor enthusiasts. read more

Everyone who works here is uptight and aggressive. From the woman (red hair) who checks people in to some of the lifeguards. The way they speak to people is rude and condescending. read more

The .5-mile nature trail makes for the perfect walk. I explored with my sister, young nephew, and her older dog, and all enjoyed a quick stroll here in the morning! The path is paved, wide, and well-maintained, and the green space is absolutely beautiful. The ducks and birds were very intriguing to my nephew. I hope to come back on my next visit to Sarasota! read more

This pool complex is lovely: no music blaring, set in a lovely wooded park, plenty of parking, friendly people. The pool and the locker room are clean. And the admission price is low. When I was in Sarasota, I enjoyed going to the Arlington Park pool three times a week to do my work out in the teaching pool. The warm water felt good on my arthritic knee, and I think having my joints warm really helped with the range of motion exercises. There's a separate pool for lap swimmers, but people also swim and take lessons in the shallow water pool. If there's no lifeguard at the teaching pool, you can ask the lifeguard on duty if there's a lifeguard available, and then you can use it. While I did my workout, I enjoyed talking with lifeguards Sharon, Connor and Spiro. The receptionists are also very welcoming. read more

Pool is official olympic size. 100 meters x 25 yards. Clean, cool water. 80 degrees. Nice. Lockers and bathrooms are grim but clean. Excellent staff supervision of children. You will never find them in your swimming lanes. First-rate facility for swimming. read more

Rating is for the Dog Parks in Arlington Park. There are two, sidebyside, one for dogs over 20 pounds, one for the little guys, they are tucked in a corner of the large park. Both have water fountains, benches, and more. Shady and sunny areas. Parking inconveniently located on the other side of the big park. I have not been to the pool or other parts of the park, but i am very grateful there are dog parks here and will visit often. read more

This is a wonderful park to walk around. There are many dogs that visit the park, and it is great meeting them and their humans. The park is very responsive. I called them to alert them that the entrance ramp off Hyde Park was rather tall. One day I was going into the park on my wheelchair, when the chair stopped suddenly. I was almost thrown out of the chair. The entrance was full of leaves obscuring the situation. They had their landscape clean out the leaves, and they did this daily. Last week a new ramp was installed. There are no raised hazards, and the approach is easy now. Much appreciated. read more

The swimming pool has a great price, it's heated, very clean and well-kept and it has many swimming lanes ... plus a smaller pool for children. They also have a gym with an indoor basketball court, tennis courts, an outdoor basketball court, lots of picnic tables, a dog park and nice walking trails including a picturesque pond with birds and turtles. Most of those things are free, except for the pool and indoor gym. But even those have low prices. The only weakness is they close at 7pm weeknights, 5pm Saturday and closed on Sundays. For those of us who do our swimming after work/dinner in the evening, the early closing makes this a less viable long-term option. Outside of that, the pool is nice, it's in a wooded area so you're looking at trees while you swim, the parking is convenient and the staff is courteous. The price is only $4 per visit, or you can get a 3-month or one year pass that makes the price cheaper depending on how often you would use it. I think the price for children and seniors is also much lower. read more

Dog park is not well maintained. It does not have any grass its pieces of wood. It sad because its a nice chunk of play area that they have

Tsunami swim team coach plays favorites: The coach (woman) plays favorites. She blatantly encouraged one child when they won and told the others, specifically mine, that they had in fact lost due to some "technicality" invented by said coach. No matter how hard my child tired he/she could do nothing well while the other child lorded over the situation basking in continual validation from the coach. It can be demoralizing to other kids not on the receiving side of said favoritism. The first time my child told me about it I viewed it as an isolated incident ...until I heard it repeatedly over the course of 4 months. Suddenly I was alarmed. Why had I allowed this to continue for so long, hence this review. My child became chronically upset and I considered talking to the coach however I recalled the coach's negative and dismissive attitude when I had previously approached her about an unrelated matter and therefore felt that such a conversation may make the situation worse because I truly felt by this point that the coach did not have my child's best interest at heart. read more
