Nice park with a half a mile walking loop that is close to the marina, lots of nice boats. There's a restaurant located on the premises that I didn't get to try. Enjoyed the swing bench and watching the water while exploring Sarasota. There's a lot of art featured here also. The huge parking lot is three hours max I believe. read more

Clean and a great addition to the area! There's a sandy area, park for the kids, seating area with a huge tv screen, walking path, and cushioned lying down area. A bridge with a beautiful view of the water and mangroves leads you from the park to Van Wezel. Bring the whole family and your dogs for a nice park day by the water. read more

The city should investigate the man at the entrance who dresses up as a statue and then jumps out at women and calls them Karens, rudely and inappropriately, when they complain and try to prevent this from happening to the next person -- this unwanted interaction is harassment. read more

The most part of Sarasota downtown is amazingly clean, and the park is not any different. It's beautifully maintained and is very good for taking morning/evening walks. My wife and I brought our 3 little dogs here twice while staying in the area. Great place to walk with the dogs. Dog bags are provided. Plenty of shade and benches to sit on and watch the water and boats. The water fountain even had a dog bowl with a bottle filler to use. Parking is easy and the statue is a must visit. There are beach areas that the dogs can use as well. A great resting spot to just enjoy the day. read more

I come to the bay front marina on Saturday mornings and on Tuesday nights for yoga. It is such a beautiful location surrounded by water, boats and grassy areas. They do day cruises out of there and there's also O'learyd tiki bar if your looking to eat and drink on the water. read more

We were visiting Sarasota for the weekend and while driving around saw Bayfront Park. We went on a Saturday and there was lots of free parking spaces. We also had our dog with us and decided to go for a walk since the views were beautiful and the park is definitely dog friendly. There are so many different shaded areas to sit and take in the incredible views of the water and boats. There were several families having a picnic and enjoying the afternoon. The Tiki Bar was busy with live music, and there are several other restaurants on the opposite side of the park. Definitely enjoyed our visit here. read more

This spot was totally impressive. I am a "park guy". I love parks. I spend a lot of time in parks. Usually it's one of the first things I find out about a new city. After a couple months of occasionally driving by this park, we finally had time to stop and check it out. First tip: Parking is free but in GREAT DEMAND. We circled the 2 attached lots for a good 20 minutes before we gave up. It was a bit after 6p, as our plan was to watch the sunset from the park. We shot across the road into downtown and luckily found some street parking only a couple blocks away from the park. Upon walking to the park, we belatedly discovered some public parking right across the street from the park with plenty of open spaces.. Doh! The park is beautiful! Lush, green and inviting! Surrounded my both a marina and a mooring area it's a boat watchers dream. We were there Saturday evening of the holiday weekend and the noise level was surprisingly low. You could hear kids laughing and playing in the playground (really nice btw), and you could hear the music and louder convos from the cocktail bar. Yes, these a full on cocktail bar in the park! One thing that really stuck out is how clean the park is, especially considering how dog friendly it is! I must have seen 20-25 dogs there. There are free poop bag stations in case you forget yours. Lot's of benches and a couple of bench swings. Also plenty of area for you to bring your own chairs, which we did. Overall a fantastic choice for an evening stroll to watch the sunset. Or an afternoon trip for the kids. Or an early morning jog. Whatever your vibe, this park can accommodate it. If you can find a parking space that is... Bonus - don't forget to check out the giant "Kissing Sailor" statue. It's kinda cool and eerie at the same time, especially at night :) read more

Sarasota has some huge buildings downtown with lots of construction and overall craziness occurring. Nestled in the heart of the craziness is this lovely little park. Lots of trees provide cool shade on a hot day. Plenty of benches provide a place to relax and reflect. There are banyan trees, picnic tables, and birds wandering around. The slight roar of the cars and the occasional squawk of a car horn reminds you that you're still in the heart of the city. Lots of people running the loop, but it doesn't seem long enough to get in a truly decent workout. But it does seem the right length for a hand-holding stroll after a dinner date. Lots of soft grassy spots where one might enjoy some yoga or HITT workouts. Lots of neat boats from all over the US to check out. read more

Beautiful and strollable Sarasota waterfront park, where the 'Unconditional Surrender Statue,' steals the show. Great place to take photo's and grab a bite. We chose O'Leary's Tiki Bar over Marina Jacks (but will try the latter next time.) There was plenty of pay-for parking at 11.30am on a Tuesday morning; the same however, cannot be said when we left at 12.45. read more

This is a nice park that has a nice walking path. It is dog friendly with dog friendly restaurants scattered about. There are public bathrooms near the entrance. There are lots of boat docking all around. There are benches around the walk path. It is a nice place to rent paddle boats as a family and go out in the water. Beautiful public park and Marina in the heart of Sarasota. There is a little tiki restaurant that had been there for years. Good place for a drink and snack. Marina Jacks by the Marina is more of a high end restaurant. Cross the street and you are in downtown Sarasota with a multitude of restaurants and stores. Great park to bring the kids includes well maintained playground and kiddie fountains. Nice park to go for a walk with a beautiful view of the harbor. Lots of trees so there is plenty of shade if you want to take a break from the heat. Several benches along the walkway and changing art works throughout the year. Parking lot is big but does get crowded on the weekends because many people park there and walk to downtown since parking can be hard to find along Main Street. read more

For the love of outdoors, if you are not going to a Sarasota beach, you should at least take advantage of being by the water. Sarasota Bayfront Park is a great place for that. This park is quite scenic, has activities such as kayaking and boating. You can also park your boat, and eat at O'Leary's Tiki Bar and Grill. Don't worry, you can take your dog too. They are super dog friendly. You can also stroll through the park, take in a picnic, or sit at the various swinging chairs. If you are looking to take a boat tour out, this is also a place you can catch one. Lastly, if you choose that O'Leary's Tiki Bar and Grill is not your thing, you may want to try Marina Jack's. They too have food and drinks, and taking in the sun right on the water. There's a good size parking lot without you having to pay for parking. That's a good deal too. Across the street is Downtown Sarasota Main street, and you can walk across the street, and go shopping. One last thing about Sarasota Bayfront Park is that you will see the Unconditional Love Statue. Remember the image of the sailor kissing his girlfriend after he was gone from the war. There's a life size status of it here. Make sure to take a picture. read more

This is a lovely area to walk the paths, rest on the benches, admire the fountain, and take in views of Sarasota and the marina. We enjoyed happy hour at Marina Jacks, and then walked the path to admire the views of the city. There is a gorgeous dolphin fountain. I always come here when I am in town. The Marina is such a nice place to walk around. We always come to watch the sunset, but there is this big residential building that blocks the last of the sunset. You can see it much better off Siesta Key Beach or on Lido Key. I still like it here a lot. During season, good luck with parking any time of day! It's insane.Marina Jacks is a restaurant with live music and a tiki bar that is on the property. It's a bit overpriced for what it is, but it's there for your convenience with restrooms off the back. There is a playground, and lots of benches to sit on. There are beautiful Banyan trees we love. So cool looking! Many people walk their dogs here. On my most recent visit, there was local artists murals displayed. They do this every year. I love it! Enjoy! read more

Watch your little ones cause this little girl will push and kick your kid. Other mom is too busy attending the other kid. Actually, i dont even know who she belongs to. He's 19months old, he cant speak up for himself but this little girl know what she's doing. One of this day, she will push a little kid and they will fall on that 4 ft tall high platform and thats when accident starts. Little girl, Didn't your parents teach you to keep your hands and feet to yourself?! Unbelievable! I yelled so loud to her NO!! so i could get around to grab him. Shame on these parent not teaching manners but thats not gonna be my problem if she hurts another kid. read more

Great place for a stroll with your pup, on a bike, run, jog, or simply just for a walk. I took my dog there and it was a very scenic walk between the water, beautiful walking paths, full tiki bar, and art work that was being displayed (including the WWII and dolphin statues). There are parts of the path that line up with the Gulf so you can get your feet (or paws) wet. There is a public restroom! The park itself is small but if you follow the fitness trail, you can get a great less than 3 mile walk over the causeway to St Armand's circle. There will you find shops and restaurants. I rated this 4 stars instead of 5 because I did not notice any water fountains. If there are any they must have been hiding. read more

Nice area to walk over the bridge and get some amazing views! You can see the sailboats, parasailing, & more from the bridge. There's a pier and a nice park for the kiddos. There's also a restaurant across from the park right on the water. The water is clear close to the shore. The walk across the bridge is less than a mile long but by walking down to the pier and over the smaller bridge and back you can get a little over 3 miles. The breeze made this tolerable even in the Sarasota heat! We look forward to returning and making the walk again along the trail. read more

We made a quick stop here while trying to figure out what to do for the rest of our trip. Based on the pictures online, I expected a little more. When you first walk in, there's a tiki bar to your left which our AirBnB host said had good drinks but we didn't feel like trying it out. Next, you'll see a decent playground that a lot of kids were enjoying. The rest of the park is just one large circle that you stroll through. There isn't much to see, but I did like the swinging benches they had sprinkled throughout the pathway. One in particular is set off the path overlooking the bay and shaded by a tree. Perfect for taking in your surroundings with a light sea breeze. There is a public restroom near the entrance. It wasn't the best kept facility, but the eco garden on the roof was a nice touch. Overall, a good 30min stop to help clear your mind. read more

This is a beautiful park for strolling, enjoying the sunset, sitting by the bay, accessing the marina, or playing at the playground/splash park. There's plenty of parking even if you don't get one of the circle spaces. (currently closed) The playground is covered, has a small child section as well as a section for older kids. The splash park is running during the day, but you must be watch small children and keep them away from the edge as there are large steps that go down to the water. That's the only reason I'm giving this beautiful park four stars instead of five. Parents should be responsible at all times, but it's riskier with the way this park is set. You can grab something to eat at the tiki bar nearby or walk over to Marina Jacks on the other side. Neither have great food, but the views are nice. read more

oh Island park. I don't go that often but it's a nice place to hang out if you have a dog and kids. It's always very calm and on occasion there will be a wedding going on. There is a water fountain playground and a regular playground in the center if the parents just want to sit and relax and let the kids run off some energy. The only thing I would advice is to bring a few grocery bags with you just incase your dog desides to take a number 2. My only complaint is that on occasion the trashcans will overflow and you have to complain to one of the resturaunts before they do anything about it. Thankfully that doesn't happen to often. read more

The best place to enjoy the Sarasota water front. There's a walkway from the gardens to the bridge, proving excellent views of both the bay and skyline. A little park is behind the marina and has a point that overlooks the water. A sidewalk allows you to see way out into the bay as well as the skyline. I love it over here. There is a beautiful view of the water. You can take great photos with the beautiful sarasota buildings behind you or the water and park in front of you. There is an area to walk your pets, run, sit and talk or have a picnic. There are lots of trees for shade and there is a restaurant right there that has food and drinks. Public bathrooms are right there along with a splash park open to the public during the summer and a regular park to let the kids play during day hours. It's one of my daughters favorite places to hang out in Sarasota. read more
