She asks a ton of questions not only to address your health concern, but also to get to know you as a person. It is uncommon to find a doctor with such a relaxed and warm bedside manner. She is an absolute diamond of a doctor. The office is clean and modern. There is plenty of parking all around the building. It is located right off 518 and is easy to locate. The staff is friendly and receptive. There is usually very little wait time. The office uses the MyChart ap to help you stay in contact with your doctor. Dr. G and her staff usually respond the same day or the very next day. You really get the feeling that she cares. She never makes you feel like you have a dumb question. She does not have the doctor complex that you usually see form other doctors. She is not only the nicest doctor I know, she is one of the nicest people I have been fortunate enough to meet. Dr. G spends so much time one on one in the room with you that there is absolutely no feeling of being rushed whatsoever. You feel like you are catching up with a friend more than talking to a doctor. I wholehearted recommend Dr. Gertieson to anyone looking for the last doctor they will ever need. As I arrive to check-in for my appointment, Eliana mentions that the type of appointments I have booked won't be covered by insurance and I need to pick one. My response to her was, "Why is she just now telling me at check-in and why didn't anyone call me prior when I've had the appointment booked for over a week." She proceeds to tell me that someone did call me and I was unreachable and they left a voicemail. I explained to her that someone only called to confirm my appointment and never mentioned needing to only select one of the type of appointments booked. As I'm continuing to explain to Eliana, she is over- talking, interrupting me while I'm talking, and making smirking faces. I eventually ask for her name and the name and contact information of her manager. She tries to write down the general email address and phone number to the clinic like I wouldn't be aware. Luckily the manager Aimee was able to come up and speak with me regarding the matter. Aimee was very sweet and apologetic unlike her incompetent and entitled front desk staff. Although, I felt management handled me appropriately, I refused to continue with the appointment. I truly despise of people that work in customer service and lack customer service skills. If you decide to work in a clinic where there are patients who are sick or ill then being able to handle them with care should be your top priority. The front desk at Pearland Physicians would be better office working in a warehouse with boxes and avoiding any customer contact. Under no circumstances will I be returning.

When I made the appt I was advised that they would be able to get me in and out within an hour since the appts were at the beginning of the morning. It's sad bc the doctor Patel was pretty good and the nurse was kind as well. However, I doubt I'll go back because complete disrespect for people's time. If you can't see the patients that quickly don't schedule so many in the same slot. Don't lie and say you can do something that you can't do. Don't tell me you can get me in and out if you can't. Just be honest.

Therefore, when it was my husband's turn, we stated that we would not be doing our lab work at Kelsey anymore and requested that the lab slip be sent to another lab. They were hesitant but eventually agreed. Just for reference, to check Vitamin D level, Kelsey charged $153... Quest is $56. And maybe from now on, I'll request a quote before agreeing to any service they provide to be made aware of costs ahead of time. Honestly, the cost here is so much. Sick visits are nearly $200 whether they are in person or virtual. Don't get me wrong, we do really like our kid's doctor here. (We didn't like our PCP but she's since left and) we love the NP we saw. This place is nice for those looking for "one stop shop." My first time seeing her, I was off put by the fact that she was smoking outside of her office. Then we walk inside and her staff looks like they rolled out of bed and hardly acknowledged my existence. I did get right in to see her without any wait but I wasn't prepared to be yelled at minutes later. I had had a colonoscopy about a month prior and ended up with an infection. I was just there to get a refill on antibiotics. However, she persistently kept asking if I was pregnant. At that point in my life, I was DEFINITELY still a virgin. No ifs, ands, or buts. I told her that and she kept asking me in disbelief. Finally, she makes some snarky comment and leaves the room. When she comes back, she tells me she was running a test on me for Lupus. I of course freak out because I do not want Lupus. She then basically tells me to grow up and that's it. The test results came back a week later and were negative (phew), however, she goes on to tell me that it could be a false negative. What?!? You don't say that to a patient that has been worried sick for a week and then gets good news. I will say that all of this happened many many years ago, but I just felt I should share since I didn't see any reviews for her. You could not pay me to go back to her.

Somewhat new to the area, I did not have a primary care physician. Therefore, I looked to Yelp (and quickly realized that physicians don't get many reviews). Crossing my fingers based on one review, I called this place. Although I was a new patient and they didn't have any appointments available for a couple of weeks, they were kind enough to let me come in (although warning that I would have to wait a while). It was only about a 30 minute wait, which, from my experience, is not that bad for a doctor's office even if one has an appointment. Everyone on staff was very nice. The doctor had great bedside manner, and he didn't even mind when I let out a little swear word from the pain. When he asked me how I had heard about the office, I told him I had found it on Yelp. He laughed and said, "Now that's something I've never heard before!" Even though I picked this place in a crunch, I would definitely go back in the future.
