    Snowflake Ice Sculpture with luge

Armitage Ice made the most amazing ice sculpture for my husband and I's wedding! Mark's service was fabulous, from getting the initial quote to coordinating the drop off. We hope to use them again in the future! Would 100% recommend!

They made a luge off the side so the bartender could pour shots, and drinks into a martini glass off the ice.

Friendly people, great ceramics made by local artists. Food, music, clay and great memories are made here. If you are a novice or master potter, it doesn't matter. Great instructors, fun time and a supportive community. Love this place!

Anita was our instructor. She gives very explicit instructions and I had success fairly quickly with my small creations. I learn by following instructions. My husband's experience was not good. He had success, but Anita told him several times that he didn't listen and he wasn't following instructions (in a rather harsh tone of voice. I think she calls it as she sees it without sugar coating her instructions). My husband learns by making mistakes and figuring out what works. He wasn't given the freedom to do that in these 45 min working sessions. So, overall my experience was OK. His experience was not good. So, I cannot recommend Desert Dragon, based on our personal experiences. But I found it was a good intro to pottery and the wheel.

He even discouraged me, saying "well we only have sanding sheets", which was the answer to my question, "where are your sanding supplies?"... to which I then had to ask again, where are they? At about that time another guy appeared from 'round the corner and helped me. They had much more than the first, uninterested employee let on. Once I went to check out I went back to the uninterested employee, who had been behind the register. He rung me up then unceremoniously stepped back from the counter and went, "Okay, there you go.", leaving me to awkwardly reach forward and grab my jumble of items I'd just paid for. The prices were fairly high, and given the fact that I felt uncomfortable asking a simple question and then made to feel even more awkward actually purchasing something...yeah, I just don't think I'll be back.
