1 guy, 5 days, 200 feet of post and rail fence, 80 feet of privacy fence, 4 gates. He was basically a magician. If you wanted to see a master at his craft you should have been at my house. Covered up his gear at the end of the day as well. Sales process exceeded my expectations as well, Jack went out of his way to walk and paint the fence line with me because I couldn't be there the day of the install. They installed two fences in my neighborhood as well a couple of years ago. Those fences flex about as a solid steel flag pole. I don't understand how they do it with just tamping the ground. Cost wise they were 70% of Perfection Fence and Home Depot. I can't recommend them strongly enough. As for the person upset the receptionist hung up on them, I know I'm not a saint at least a couple days a year either. If they had called back they would have been treated fine. read more

Armstrong fence was very great and fair with the prices and responded quickly when our fence broke so our dogs wouldn't get out HOWEVER they install A 6 foot fence in the back of my house and I've noticed it's crooked so I called the gentleman came down said he would send me something in the email I get an email from him with an estimate for over $300 for me to fix their ERROR and putting in the post crooked !!! are they crazy I'm not paying the money shame on them! read more

I'm sure I'm not the only one who went here after the storms earlier this year. We lost our mailbox and 25% of our fence to the storms and the town plow. The fence was not installed by them, but our little gate between the driveway and backyard was (before we bought the house) and that gate was still standing after all those storms, even with my neighbor's self-installed fence slapping it around as his fence loosened. This is why we came here over Perfection Fence. We ended up getting a very nice mailbox from them and had them install it. We had to wait a couple of weeks since they were busy from the storms, which is understandable. The mailbox looks great and they did a great job. Now.. I did not go through them to repair my fence. The installation costs seemed high for my budget, though a little less than Perfection Fence down the street. I cheaped out and bought the materials myself. Guess what? 5 months later I still don't have my fence back together because it is harder than it looks to do! I will try to finish it myself since I have the stuff already but I'm sure when it falls apart or another part of my fence goes I will definitely go to Armstrong for now on. There really is a difference to the quality of their fences compared to what the big box store down the street sells. I really regret not just having them fix my fence. read more

We hired Armstrong Fence to install a black chain link fence in our back yard. Our entire experience with them was very professional - we would highly recommend them. For starters, I contacted 9 fence companies south of Boston and they were the ONLY one who returned my call or email for a quote. They came to my house not once, but twice to measure the yard because we changed our mind regarding where we wanted the fence. They had to push our install day by 3 business days, but were upfront about it and gave us advance notice. They showed up on time the days of install. Please save yourself the frustration and pursue another company. I called Armstrong in March/April and they didn't schedule the quote until the first week of June as they were that busy. When they did arrive, the rep Thiago was nice however it was raining, pouring so we spent little time together. He followed up quite immediately with the quotes that I asked for. I had additional questions I've wanted answered. Well it's not basically October and I've emailed 3-4 times, nothing. I've called his cell phone, his voicemail is full. I've called the office and they aren't helpful, just say "we will follow-up with Thiago". Well nonetheless, no one has helped me and they've wasted four months of my live with this. Their customer service is horrible and I'm going to start pursuing other fence companies at this point. Why make it so difficult for someone to give you $$, I do not understand. read more

We hired Armstrong to replace a gate for us at our home this fall and couldn't be happier with the results. Bob Gontarz was the sales rep and he worked with us to come up with exactly what we wanted. The crew showed up on time and were extremely clean. We moved the gate position so they had dig new holes which they knew about before hand and even made sure to call Digsafe to make sure they wouldn't run into any issues. Hired Armstrong fence to install a new fence and when they installed it not only did they make the gate to small they broke my existing fence. When this was brought up to them they denied breaking my fence and wouldn't fix the gate. All we wanted was a gate that was the width of a normal door 36" and we ended up with one at 30". I would recommend this company. When you break someone's property you should repair or replace it. read more

The crew was hardworking through the frigid cold, pulling out all the old cemented posts and attached chainlink, answering any questions we had along the way. I am the most anal person in the world, I want everything I hire someone to do to come out perfect. I want them to care about what they are doing and I want it done professionally, on time and for a reasonable price. I would say it is getting harder and harder to find anyone who really cares and is good at what they do. I would do so much more if I could count on the work to be exceptional. I worry, I am a pain in the ass - I question everything and everyone I hire about every little thing they are doing. It is indeed quite hard for me to find anyone to hire and a long shot at me being happy with their job. That being said, if you are looking for a company to put up a fence, Armstrong is the one -- the only one you want. I AM H A P P Y !!!! - actually very happy with the job they did for me. I never say that about anyone but these guys are like super heros to me. From the start - very easy to schedule an appointment, came out to measure quickly, I had the quote in a couple days - actually, I had them quote four different variations of the fence ...I didn't know what I wanted. No problem, totally understanding and happy to do it for me. Time frame to start was reasonable - and in spite of the rotten april/may weather - they started exactly when they said they would. So very impressed with that. This was a really tough tough job - lots of rocks, hard terrain. The guys worked hard. They listened, actually listened and remembered what was important to me. They took a lot of care to make this look so nice. They were incredibly neat - cleaned up and the fence looked like it was always there - not like it was just put in. I can not recommend these guys highly enough. If you are looking for a fence contractor your search is over. My sincere appreciation to Armstrong for making this so easy and turn out so nice. Phenomenal. Put in about 250 feet of fence for a little over what the cost of materials would have been had we shopped locally. Was installed in two and a half days. Gentlemen who installed were nice, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. They also removed a section of twenty feet of old fencing within the cost of the job. BOB IS THE BEST! Such a great experience dealing with him during my project. I highly recommend specifically asking for him. He helped me scope out the materials for my project, spent the time going over the options and patiently make the adjustments I needed to make to stay within my budget. He also stayed late on 4th of July weekend so I could pick up my stock. Just a real nice and helpful guy that knows his stuff. 5 stars! read more
