Covered up his gear at the end of the day as well. Sales process exceeded my expectations as well, Jack went out of his way to walk and paint the fence line with me because I couldn't be there the day of the install. They installed two fences in my neighborhood as well a couple of years ago. Those fences flex about as a solid steel flag pole. I don't understand how they do it with just tamping the ground. Cost wise they were 70% of Perfection Fence and Home Depot. I can't recommend them strongly enough. As for the person upset the receptionist hung up on them, I know I'm not a saint at least a couple days a year either. If they had called back they would have been treated fine.

"I have to hire a contractor for XYZ", schedule site visits, get quotes, follow up questions.... by the time you've had 6 companies come to your house, you just want it over with. Last year we started our adventure of getting a new fence installed. I called the "big 2" fence companies in the area (you know who they are). I had to re-read the quotes several times. Simple 6ft vinyl/PVC grey fence with post caps and spring hinged latching gate. I asked "would the fence be gold plated? or does this price include the rest of the neighborhood?" Niether thought I was funny. Late winter this year (2026) we decided to contact medium size/ more local companies. Every estimator we met was personable and knowledgeable. But Fabio from Fence 101 (owner) came prepared with samples, booklets, and the most important thing.... time. He and I walked around my yard, assessed what I had, gave suggestions, showed me options, discussed materials and we talked about family/kids etc. It was like talking to that new person you meet, that you immediately have repour with. He is really a quality gentleman. (I have a Gibbs gut that says so). All the quotes we received this year were within a hundred bucks or so of eachother. Price was not the major factor in our decision to hire F101, but their price the most economical and competitive. The install crew arrived when they were scheduled and worked ALL day; of both two days. They didn't bang out at 2pm like most contractors, these guys were gettin' it done. When I asked them questions about panels, post depth, wind resistance, yadda yadda, they stopped working, took the time to fully answer my queries and were happy to engage. These guys were hard working, strong, accurate and respectful of my small piece of the world. And they were having fun. In two days 95% of the job was complete. The gate and post tops came on a separate order. The gate arrived at Fabio's shop the wrong color. He contacted me right away, and informed me he already had the correct color on order. It was being delivered the next day and would be installed ASAP ... on a SATURDAY! SATURDAY? Really? I was impressed. Fabio himself and (what I believed to be) his lead field person, installed the post caps and gate before I got home from grocery shopping. (my wife being away on a trip) They had it complete by 10:30 AM. Boom! It was done. Seriously 5 stars . When the Queen returned she was blown away! She was stunned as to how awesome it looked. Fence 101 asks for half down deposit, which more than resonible. They have a bunch of colors available with different posts caps and hardware. Materials are USA local NY. Price includes install and material warranty. They also took my 40 year old stockade fence down for recycling. Fabio followed up with us after the job to make sure there were no issues. I'm including some pictures and videos (from my security cameras) of the work; his crew removing the old fence, installing the new, etc. One vid clip is Fabio on the phone with me discussing which way the gate should open/close/swing/latch. And check out his dancing moves! I will be following up with Fence 101 to purchase gate handles, that I forgot to add to the initial install. I met with Mr. Cunningham who was very polite and professional. I gave him the dimensions of my gate and asked him to make sure the with of the gate was 46.75" wide. He stated he would and the gate would be ready to be picked up in Plymouth the following Wednesday. I paid $395.00 plus tax and drove back to Mattapoisett. I called the following Wednesday and was informed that the gate was not on the truck and I would have to wait another week to pick up the gate. After waiting another week I called your Plymouth location to see if my gate could be picked up. Didn't make the truck again!!! I was informed that the gate was in Stoughton. Now waiting 3 weeks for my gate I told Mr. Cunningham, I would pick up the gate. Picked up the gate and drove back To Mattapoisett to install the gate. The gate was manufactured to 45.75" wide and looks awful installed on my beautiful fence . Mr Cunningham made a note on the work order that " MAKE ACTUAL WITH 46.75"-THIS IS IMPORTANT. This was not a good experience. After posting this review I was contacted by the owner ,he gave me is personal cell number and he offered to replace the gate and personally deliver it to my home. I'm having to replace about half of a cedar fence installed by Reliable after only 6 years. Posts…read morewere cut short and buried only 18", most with only 1 bag of concrete or less, only surrounding the post about halfway, so they came loose. Panels too close to the ground have rotted. Steel bars were hammered in next to some posts and bolted on, so that tells me these posts were too wobbly to support the fence right from the start. They should have dug them up and done it right. Even doing it right on 1/2 of the posts would have been enough to support the fence, but they cut corners on EVERY post.

They were recommended to me by a friend to do a variety of time sensitive jobs at the end of a major renovation of our tenant unit in our two family in Watertown. Their jobs included tiling of a newly installed kitchen, installed and encasing a vent to the exterior for an in-unit washer drier, installed a built-in mirror cabinet in a bathroom, and installed a new, wider basement door. While they were there they ended up solving a variety of additional problems - temporarily removed some kitchen cabinetry and door trim to enable delivery of a new refrigerator, plastered and painted a removed cabinet area, strengthened the steps into my basement, etc. Throughout the process Michael and Tom communicated super well, pointing out options in how to proceed, made suggestions for sequencing of projects for better outcomes, kept us up to date regarding progress to completion dates, etc. They took meeting their commitments to completion dates super seriously, working extra hours and weekends when they ran into unexpected complications, and checking in with me to make sure I was happy with things along the way. I general contracted our renovations (what was I thinking...) over three months and observed and had personal experience with each of the contractors we used. Some looked great, and ended up being hard to work with, expensive and underdelivered. Michael and Tom were the opposite. While they may appear more low key and not as polished as some, they were probably the most effective, professional and responsible of all the people I hired. I had a flood in my 1-bedroom condo so I had a bunch of projects. There were sections of drywall…read moreand baseboards that needed to be replaced, I wanted the countertop replaced on the bathroom vanity and change the tile backsplash in the kitchen. They were very responsive to my messages on yelp. They also talked to my building manager to work out permits for plumbing. We had some miscommunication about the estimate but we ironed that out. They came to demo the old tile and then the problems started. First they were stuck at another job site, then they had another client with an emergency, so there several days when I waited all day for them to not show up. They did work late to finish the drywall and baseboards in time for the painters. The plumber who they contracted to do the vanity was great. I wish they had just told me from the start that this tile job was out of their league. Instead, Mike spent several days of hard work and long hours trying very hard but the result just wasn't great. He ripped out and re-tiled sections to try to fix it. , it just didn't work out with the tile, and I'm having to repay to have it redone.

We…read moreturned an elevated deck into a glassed-in three season porch, and not only did Almar bid the project reasonably (based on five estimates) they completed it on time, with good communication and great attention to detail. Craig was excellent during the project kickoff phase as well, when my wife and I went back and forth on design details and even had to put the project on the back burner for a few months. He patiently input our ideas into his design software so we could see how the room would look, and explained the myriad tradeoffs between time, money and design in a way that made perfect sense and made it easy to make the right decisions for our family and budget. Once the project started, Mark and Ed kept us informed in person and via email, and were very friendly, personable and helpful onsite presences. Ed especially went the extra mile, doing jobsite cleanup at the end of the day -- something that wasn't strictly required -- as well as some small safety touches I would never have thought of to make sure that our curious 5-year old didn't have any chance of hurting himself if he "accidentally" wandered into the area. The rest of the Almar crew was similarly good, and even the electrical, roofing, & insulation subcontractors were top notch. I would use Almar again in an instant, and I have a coworker also using Almar for a project having a similarly good experience. Let them bid your project; you won't be disappointed.

After a long time, two were eventually corrected (flashing was done incorrectly in one area and a second area was sided over without applying house wrap). I have water damage in three rooms that Almar left for me to take care of. One room still leaks when it rains and I'm still waiting for Alison or Craig to respond to my last email.
