Reached out to this company through Google. They appeared to have good reviews, So I reached out to them. They are sales representative named Rocky seem to know his basic knowledge, when asked about more difficult questions as in styles of doors he seemed to always have to call the office. He made verbal promises to me that I could not find in writing which was the biggest one about the Warranty being lifetime. I finally got frustrated with him and try to reach out to the person in the office and got nowhere. I asked to speak with the owner which I was able to do. Billy promised me that he was profusely embarrassed and that he would handle things from here on out we had a good conversation. When I reached back out three weeks later to sign a contract and do business with him, they couldn't find any literature on the contract that they had written with me. When I gave them all the information they needed they called me back and said they were not interested again I asked to speak with the owner he told his secretary to let me know he was not interested. I know there are two sides to every story But I would suggest strongly doing background on this company before using. read more

We were experiencing a weird issue with our garage door where it would open fine, but when we tries to close it, it would automatically reverse when it came within a foot off the ground. We looked for obstructions that might be affecting the sensor and found none. We had to close the door manually and immediately called Armstrong for an appointment. This was at about 8 pm. They said that Jeff would be about by 9 am the next day. He was actually there a few minutes beforehand. He took a look at the situation and was temporarily puzzled. The he called us over and pointed to the garage ceiling. The garage ceiling drywall had collapsed on the cable spool and was rubbing against it preventing it from making it to the bottom. He voluntarily went to his truck , grabbed a piece of angle iron and fabricated a temporary support for the drywall above the cable. This bought us time to get the ceiling fixed properly. Garage door problem was solved! This is the sort of service above the call of duty that we have come to expect from Jeff and Armstrong in general. We highly recommend them. read more

I was very impressed with this company. From beginning to finish, they were great! They answered my call right away and was very friendly on the phone. I found their company on Yelp, while looking up another company no longer in business. The spring broke on my door and they were able to get someone to come out the same day! Jeff was my technician. Very friendly and definitely knowledgeable. I like how he didn't rush the repair job and actually took his time to examine the whole door and explain other issues he found. He fixed everything at the same time - no extra trip out, which means no additional service charge! Everything he needed was already on his truck! After he was finished, I couldn't believe how smooth and quiet the door was. I'm very happy I went with this company and will definitely use them again. They may not be the cheapest (I didn't shop around), but to me, sometimes you pay for what you get, and I think my money was definitely well spent here. Brad was my service guy. He was friendly and did a fantastic job. I have used Armstrong Garage Doors before today and I will use them again in the future. Thank your for your fast response and the professional service. In reading other reviews, it is apparent that these people are NOT doing the required maintenance in order to increase the garage spring and roller longevity. In the Florida heat, garage door springs and rollers will not last very long at all unless constantly lubricated with WD-40. I apply WD-40 at least 4 times a year. Depending on how often the garage door is used, WD-40 should be applied more often to the springs and the rollers. This is especially true if you are using your garage door several times a day. The last time springs and rollers were installed at my home by Armstrong was almost 9 years ago. The reason is because of their expert service and my maintenance program. Our garage door broke over the weekend, so we called and left a message hoping that we could get someone out first thing Monday morning! Armstrong called early Monday morning and was at our house by 8 am, which was great for our work schedules! Jeff was friendly, efficient, and a great trouble shooter! They have worked on our garage door before, and so we knew it would be okay! Our motherboard was out, so he replaced it and then was so thorough to help us reconfigured each of our remotes and then synced up the exterior key pad, even making sure we had new batteries, and light bulbs in all the right places. Did you know LED light bulbs interfere with the programming? Yikes! Good information! Wonderful service, reasonable prices for professional skills...plus, made sure our older garage door was well maintained with lubrication of the whole thing, too. I had to get three new doors replaced on my home. They promptly came out and assessed the situation whereas it was better to go with new openers and doors as the old ones were not worth salvaging. Rocky helped me pick out the doors and and made side I would have remotes installed on each door on the outside as well as WiFi capability for the doors. When the doors came Jeff and his helper got here promptly first thing in the morning and worked until close to 6 pm. They did an outstanding job installing all three doors. They take pride in their work and didn't take any shortcuts. Jeff was so knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend their service. I couldn't be any happier with their work and service. I called today and spoke to Owen who was nice enough to give me a ballpark estimate over the phone which i greatly appreciated. Then Rocky was at my house in a few hours to do measurements and provide an even more accurate quote, which wasnt far off from the ball park amount! Rocky was professional and kept it real with me when it came to pricing and different types of garage styles. I appreciated his advice when it came to picking out the perfect garage. Also he recommened that i get a power surge for my garage door opener to prevent any future outages, and even helped me pick one out on amazon. Called Armstrong to replace a broken spring on my garage door. They came highly recommended from a friend, so I wasn't surprised at how helpful they were on the phone. Scheduled us for the first appointment on a Friday. John showed up right on time and did a thorough inspection of our door. We knew it hadn't been serviced in at least 15 years, so he walked my husband through some recommended updates. We had him do everything he suggested and now our door is like new! John was courteous, knowledgable, and worked very efficiently. I'm actually really glad the spring broke, because he also fixed the obnoxious pterodactyl roaring sound it has made for the last decade. I was very pleased with the service. I woke up one morning to find a broken spring and a garage door that would not budge. I found Armstrong from a google search, and got an email reply same day. Peggy at the office was easy to work with and flexible with scheduling. Jeff, the technician, arrived at 2:50 pm for the 3:00 - 5:00 pm scheduling window. How often does that happen? Jeff had the new springs installed in less than 30 minutes, then he recommended replacing the wheels. For $60 extra bucks he swapped out all the wheels and the garage door sounds better and runs more smoothly than it ever has. In and out in under an hour. Original quoted price was what I paid, plus the extra for the wheels. Jeff was a friendly guy and gave me good advice about how to keep the door running smoothly ongoing. Got home from vacation & could not open our garage door. Upon entering the house we found that the main spring had broken. It was 4:50 in the afternoon, but thought I would give it a shot to call Armstrong Garage Door & see when they could get out. The girl that answered the phone was very courteous and told me that Jeff could be there at 11 am the next morning! Since we had Jeff replace out 2 openers last year after lightning zapped them, I was glad they were sending the same tech as he had gone over the door then and made sure everything was working and explained the new door openers & app to us thoroughly before he left. Garage door got stuck open right before the holidays, called Armstrong and they had someone over first thing in the morning, as soon as I was available. Jeff came over and diagnosed the problem in three minutes tops. Bad wires that got pulled out because the reinforcing frame on the motor was loose. He fixed the wires, redid the frame and reinforced the motor. The door was also really noisy and hadn't been servived since we bought the house. In less than an hour, he fixed everything, replaced the wheels with very quiet teflon wheels, reattached storm braces that had come loose, and lubed the whole thing. And he also was very polite and explained everything he was doing as he went. Now we got a quiet garage door that doens't shake anymore when it moves. We called Armstrong after seeing they had many positive reviews because we needed to replace two garage door openers (one was dead and one was failing). The job was not a rush, Rocky came out on a Saturday (one day after I called), and showed us some of the issues with other parts of the garage door which were the likely reason the door closers were having issues. He was articulate and seemed very knowledgeable. We did end up spending a little more money on these replacement parts in addition to the closers but did feel like it was necessary and he was honest in his explanation of the maintenance issues and our options. He also worked very diligently and had a great attitude. I will absolutely use Armstrong again for our maintenance needs and do definitely recommend them. read more

Jeff and Travis just left my house. They arrived right when they said they would and went about changing out my broken garage door opener. Installation was quick and clean, and they took plenty of time to explain how the new opener worked, including the lock out feature. They suggested changing the rollers that were five years old. That was also quickly and properly done. Jeff has been to our house three times in the last thirty years. He changed out the entire door once. He installed a LiftMaster opener over 20 years ago, and now changed out to another LiftMaster with Travis help. Jeff has always been courteous and professional. I was in a bind yesterday morning when as I tried to open the garage door the spring napped and broke apart. I called Armstrong at 7am and was nicely greeted by their scheduler, she immediately setup an appt time with Brad, the technician. Brad arrived at my house by 10am. He not only fixed the broken spring but did a full assessment of the garage door and all mechanisms and recommended what he felt was necessary to maintain it working properly. Armstrong Garage were fantastic. My top panel to the garage door broke and I called Armstrong in the morning. As a company, they could have told me that I needed a whole new door, but instead they searched for a new replacement panel for my 10 year old garage door, which saved me a lot of money. By that same afternoon they had found a new panel and replaced it. The service repair man, Travis, was so helpful, courteous and professional both when he came to look at what was needed and when he returned with Jeff to install the panel. Both Travis and Jeff were great and had the garage door fixed so quickly. They then made sure to perform maintenance on both doors before leaving. A+ Experience... The single spring broke on my garage door so I called Armstrong Garage Door and Jeff came out to help. He removed the broken single spring and replaced it with two new springs. While there he recommended replacing the rollers, due to wear, with Teflon rollers. I also asked if he could replace the bottom weather strip and he said "no problem. He lubricated all the joints and rollers. He even helped me calibrate my Genie opener as well. The whole job was completed in no time and now the door glides smoothly and quietly in the track. We even went over regular lubrication intervals for preventative maintenance of the door and opener. Jeff was our service technician for our Clopay garage door repair. Couldn't have asked for better service! We had an appointment within two days of calling Armstrong. Jeff not only showed up on time but was a little early! We had one broken spring and asked Jeff to go ahead and replace both springs. While he was working on the springs, he pointed out the bad condition that the rollers were in. They were the original 40 year old rollers so we asked him to go ahead and replace those as well. He also replaced the drum. He fortunately had all the necessary parts with him. Quality work with quality parts! We can't say enough good things about this company and John, the technician who helped us out. We called around to a few different garage door repair services early Friday morning. Some never called back, others couldn't get to us until next week. Armstrong sent a tech within 2 hours. John did a thorough safety inspection, pointed out what needed to be fixed and explained it in terms we could easily understand. John came out for a service visit on a garage door Armstrong installed when we originally purchased our home over 9 years ago. John arrived when he said he would, and was friendly, courteous and took the time to explain each aspect of the job as he worked. He had an eagle eye and was able to see a crack in one of our hinges that we didn't notice until he pointed it out. He definitely knew what he was doing, and was quickly able to replace the hinge and all of our rollers. He made some adjustments to the lifters, and gave us some maintenance tips that will help prolong the life of our garage door.
