We did an initial video estimate and then the week of the move Ty came personally to see where things were at to ensure he had what was needed to be ready for moving day. They showed up on time. Their system was well executed, and they had us loaded very quickly. Igor, Manny, Daniel and Christian were very friendly, and professional, and took extra care with our fragile items. Ty was there for the loading as well, to ensure we had everything we needed. At the new place the unload went just as seamlessly and when the truck was empty they even took the time to ask if there was anything we wanted help putting together, and if we wanted them to move anything into a particular spot while they were still there. We did ask them to move a couple of the heavier items which they did happily. Payment was easy; the estimate was exact to the invoice. E-transfer payment was quick and simple. They are definitely competitive price wise, if not a bit better value than some of the larger companies and way better service. All around great team, great people, and i would definitely recommend them.

The second time was a nightmare, with them showing up with a 3.5 ton truck instead of a 5 ton truck, as was clearly communicated beforehand. Since we had to make a ferry reservation, it made everything morse stressful than necessary, with us having to deal with literally last minute solutions for left over stuff, turning over the old place to our landlady, loading remaining items in our own car, and helping the movers on top of it as some furniture had to be dissembled to fit in the truck. Although Ty brought anything they could not bring the first time, a couple of days later, there were too many damaged items due to the puzzle of trying to get everything into the small truck. Most damages were just labelled as 'can be easily replaced by going to the dollar store, or having a table top refinished locally, etc.' But Ty never followed up on it, instead mentioned that we had not bought the proper insurance (which was never offered in the first place). He gave us $500 off, but that does not make good for all the trouble we had. and all the damages, with some of them discovered after the move. The damages were: a broken high quality fan, a completely scratched dining table top, damaged artwork, two damaged standing lamps, one damaged storage unit, a broken antique pendant light, and almost all furniture with some new scratches, dents, and other minor damages, including damages from the tape that was not properly used. Having said this, the movers were friendly, and Ty is a nice person; but this was not handled as expected and with the care needed, also with never following up on him promising us the needed repairs. Even if only some small plastic parts (e.g., a wheel part, a fastening ring) are broken, it does not mean they can be easily replaced at the dollar store. If we had to repair and replace everything, it would easily exceed the $500 offered. I have moved over 20 times in my whole life, but this was by far the worst experience ever. I can only hope that they will handle your next move better.

On the day of the move an emergency had arose and one of their regular guy couldn't make it so we had to with another guy. Between having the regular mover explaining how to move things and his lazy pace the entire move for a single condo cost me more than $700 when it should have costed me about $500. Max. On top of that he charge me another 1.5% due to that they didn't know of the new location until the day of the move! The general manager obviously didn't update them and I had to pay as a result. I was upset for the service and lack of professionalism. The temp guy should have known that he was paid by hour and shouldn't be on his mobile while he was walking back and forth to the truck, very slowly. I moved before and used 2 younger guys in their 20's and the entire move was twice the distance and took less than 2 Hrs. These guys are close to 50s. You be the judge. I emailed the general manager and explained to him that I was disappointed because service was great from the beginning. Charging that amount for a small move and within about 20 blocks is ridiculous. Well I never received an apology nor a response. I guess they could careless after they walked of off with the cash. I'm an easy customer - very willing to see the best in any service provider - however there were a couple of things that really bothered me about the service we experienced. First things first, the two guys who showed up were perfectly nice. They showed up on time and didn't bat an eye when our flat was still rather chaotic on the morning of the move. So that was good. However, I was slightly horrified that they didn't bother to wrap our furniture in moving blankets before loading the pieces onto handcarts. I watched as piece after piece of fragile, expensive furniture was carted away unwrapped including a coffee table we had shipped from the UK and a teak sideboard that was our wedding gift. Both my husband and I were too nice to say anything to the movers but in retrospect, we should have especially since it was raining outside and pieces got wet. We would have wrapped key pieces ourselves had we known they wouldn't be wrapped by the movers. We underestimated the time needed for the move - our fault - and asked if the movers could stick around another hour. They agreed. However, it turned out that they had been promised a last-minute job if they could get across town by a certain (unrealistic) time. As a result, they were rushing so quickly that they broke several plastic boxes that they stacked together. Since they were in such a rush to leave, we paid them with a pretty generous tip and said our good-byes. Unfortunately, it was after they left that we realized these boxes had been broken. I know that they use different teams to move so this review really is only for the team we had. That said, as a small business owner myself, I wouldn't be very happy if customers were experiencing subpar service under my branding.
