Superior had a competitive price, but it was the way they handled the bid process that sold us. Matt was knowledgeable and very unsalesman like. He didn't pressure me or make a hard sale and was patient while we decided how to move forward with this very major project. He just patiently and efficiently answered every question either in person or over text and email. Alanna in the office was great at communicating throughout - from start to finish. She confirmed our appointment for the bid, even sending me a picture of Matt beforehand so I'd know who to expect, then sent me many informational guides, forms, receipts, etc. throughout the process. She never missed a beat and was so understanding and helpful while I tried to choose paint colors - helping out where my colorblind husband could not! Our house turned out to be a rotten mess with no insulation beneath the original siding, and Matt and his crew really problem solved to help us get it fixed without going too far out of our budget. They made it manageable. When we decided how to move forward, they got it done quickly and correctly. It turned out to be a much bigger project than we expected, but our house is in such better shape now, and we've already noticed a difference in our electricty bill. Matt always caught things on walkthroughs that we didn't and made sure his crews came back to fix them, ensuring every detail was done right. They got our house looking so great. I'm blown away by the finished product! I love coming home to our "new" house and sitting outside on our hugely improved front porch. It was a really great process from start to finish.

I was looking at bids from multiple companies, and SES stood out as one of the most competitive on price -- but what ultimately won my business was their flexibility and great communication both with me and between the various roles within the company. Artie was endlessly patient with my many questions during the initial discussion phase and showed flexibility and creativity in solving problems as we hammered out the plan for my exterior remodel. Both he and Matt (my project manager) showed a willingness to resolve my every concern to make sure I was happy with the result. When I interacted with the company office, both Michelle and Alanna impressed me with their clear communication and friendly demeanor. This really is a quality operation; they're honest and they stand by their work. The crew who came out to do the installation were amazing, showing that same level of professionalism and customer orientation. Mark, who headed up the installation crew on site, went above and beyond to make sure we had shared vision about trim and other details around some of the "quirky" places on my older home. Of course, the quality of the workmanship was excellent -- SES is an Elite Preferred Hardie installer, and it shows! -- but where they really shine is in their communication and relationship style. Both the siding installation and the painting were completed ahead of schedule, and the couple of small change orders we did were negotiated generously and in good faith. After the painting was completed, Artie and Matt came back to install a couple of exterior fixtures as agreed, and Artie made sure I was happy with everything before accepting final payment. Like I said -- this is a quality operation. SES will absolutely be the first call I'll make, next time I need any kind of exterior updates.

They covered the hard wood floors and were boot covers. He did three closets in about 5 hours. It made it seem simple but the hard work is completed in his shop. the cutting to fit and building the prior to installing to make sure everything is a go! So by time he's onsite it's no issues! From the beginning, we never intended to work with Andrew on a full kitchen remodel. This is why we…read morehad him revise the original contract, explicitly changing the scope from a full remodel to strictly non-buildable design development. We hired him and his designer solely to draft the plans. We had no obligation to move forward with remodel portion of our project. The "time and materials pre-construction work" was supposed to reflect the non-buildable design details discussed 3 separate time including at our group meeting with the designer. The plans delivered didn't match the design elements we talked about several times for the "time and materials" contract. Andrew describes the design process, "He'll (speaking of the engineer) likely want to take that (plans that Andrew's designer creates) and do a site visit as well to specify the required beams/posts." So he was very aware that we wanted the beams and post redone and mocked up the plans. "(Andrew's designer) will build the model on her computer while we're there and we can talk through it and see it as we iterate on design decisions." Which didn't happen but we were flexible and assumed we didn't need to micromanage the mock up and they would act on good faith to deliver the plans with the details we discussed. Andrew isn't being honest here - We emailed 3 times and talked to him on the phone to state that we would provide feedback and address invoice as soon as possible for we had a family issue come up. We paid the invoice less than 2 months after you sent the invoice - Invoice sent 9/11 and paid 11/7. By email, he stated he can be somewhat flexible with payment dates. As well as on the invoice it states "no rush on our end". By not disputing the quality of the delivered work, Andrew clearly acknowledges that the blueprints lack the detailed specifications we repeatedly outlined in three separate meetings. Rather than correct the errors with integrity, he intended to charge an additional 7.5 hours just to fix mistakes in the original plans. That's unacceptable--we hired Andrew to deliver the correct plans from the start, not to pay extra for what was already agreed upon. We just want to receive the plans we discussed so we can move forward and update our review to a amicable experience.
