I've dealt with several of their vets here, most recently Dr. Augustine, and they've all been very helpful and listened to my concerns, and responded professionally and appropriately. I originally switched since they have more reasonable prices for feline dental. Unfortunately for one of my cats, her pre-dental bloodwork led the team to conclude that she likely had cancer. They worked tirelessly to get my cat an appt at the OVC in Guelph where they were able to treat her in the short-term and get the final diagnosis. A note that they stopped accepting new clients in December. This doesn't include new pets for pre-existing clients. The staff here speak English, Cantonese, and I believe Mandarin also.

Our cat was previously diagnosed as FIC (Feline Idiopathic Cystitis) at another animal hospital, Dr. Leslie Burke was very experienced and professional, she discovered our beloved cat actually got bladder cancer and oral SCC. Without her, we wouldn't have known and we had been given the wrong direction from the other hospital. We wished we had brought our cat earlier to VRH so that he would be given better care and correct directives. We would highly recommend VRH as the whole team is very patient, helpful and attentive although we waited for 4 hours, but it's worth the waiting. It is an emergency animal hospital, so it is understandable the vet seeing the patients by the triage protocol. By the way, there is plenty of parking at the front.

She (Jennifer) advised that the cost of clipping my pups dew claw would be between $500-$600, starting at $300 for sedation. When I heard the cost of getting assistance in clipping her dew claw I couldn't stop laughing ... and after further thought became so disgusted and disappointed with this vet. It is unfortunate that this veterinarian service has become soooo greedy over the years, knowing that we are in the middle of a pandemic and all grooming services are closed due to government shutdowns, it's unfortunate to know that this veterinarian is NOT a vet you can count on in these extreme times and they are taking full advantage of their customers by gouging for services and utilizing the pandemic closures to the extreme.
