I am writing this review after more than 20 years as a patient of Dr. Arnold and his team. I first started seeing Dr. Arnold and Teri when he took over the practice of a dentist who had passed away in the early 2000s. My first impression was that Teri had everything completely under control, and Dr. Arnold seemed like a somewhat nerdy surfer guy who really knew his stuff. There is nothing better than a practitioner who "nerds out" on what he does - you know he's passionate about it. I immediately liked them both. Over the years, I grew alongside the practice. Despite expanding, adding another office, and relocating to Brandon, Dr. Arnold, Teri, and the rest of the staff remained exactly what made them special from the beginning: grounded, professional, caring, and genuinely invested in my dental health. They always worked with me as partners to achieve the best possible outcomes. In many ways, they felt more like friends than healthcare providers. One thing that always impressed me about Dr. Arnold is his honesty. He doesn't sugarcoat anything--you get a straightforward assessment of your condition and the available options. At the same time, he provides thoughtful, well-developed treatment plans and clearly explains each option so you can make informed decisions. His directness is balanced by compassion, empathy, and a complete absence of judgment. Teri and the office staff are absolute experts when it comes to insurance and billing. If there's a way to maximize your benefits and minimize your costs, they'll find it. When I underwent Invisalign treatment to correct an overbite that was largely cosmetic rather than functional, Dr. Arnold and his staff helped me take advantage of discounts and other opportunities that saved me literally thousands of dollars. Another quality I greatly appreciated is Dr. Arnold's attention to detail. He can be a perfectionist--and in cosmetic dentistry, that's a tremendous asset. During my Invisalign treatment, I eventually had to tell him I was satisfied because he wanted to continue correcting tiny imperfections that I barely noticed. He was completely transparent about this, and while I appreciated his commitment to achieving the best possible result, I wasn't eager to spend another few years in Invisalign trays. We discussed it openly, aligned on our goals, and developed a plan we were both happy with. That experience perfectly reflects one of Dr. Arnold's greatest strengths: communication. Although I have since moved out of state and now see another provider, I will always remember the exceptional care, service, and compassion I received from Dr. Arnold and his team. My son is on spectrum any doctor visit is very hard for family because he gets so nervous with any doctor appt it takes days for nervous system to unwine before appt and after first visit the whole staff made him feel like they knew him and cared to know him so even with major work to be done he was excited to come back even knowing it was to extract teeth and did not even flintch even huged them when leaving and he does not like to touch people after appts he even went to sleep witch due to his nevous system usually takes 24 to 48hrs after any doctor appt. first time in whole life he slept when got home i swear with a smile miracle workers read more

Ronnie took care of me yesterday and was awesome! He was very firm when explaining to me How I should be taking care of my teeth! He didn't rush while doing the periodontal work that I needed. I was referred to Dr. Arnold from my endodontist where I was getting a root canal done. He told me that he is the "big dog" of dentistry in Tampa Bay. Big understatement as from day one of my first visit he saved my teeth. I had neglected my teeth for years, only letting pain drive me to a dentist. He took me from a Neanderthal mouth of issues to amazing teeth again. This was about ten years ago. Well when you get old, 71 things change. The old root canals begin to fail and only recourse is tooth removal when retreatment is not possible. I had two, one up one down that were infected and had to go. Getting my teeth cleaned last week I was advised by my tech that this was serious and I knew it and had ignored it for a while as I had two teeth that needed immediate attention. I am seriously hesitant of sitting in the chair due to a really bad experience I had over 50 years ago. I had impacted wisdom, teeth and the dentist ended up pounding on me with a hammer and chisel, and one tooth came out in 31 pieces, it was true torture. Fast forward to yesterday. Arrived for my appointment and was immediately seated. Dr. Arnold came in, and started the procedure. Of course the first needle for numbing is always the worst for everybody. After that I NEVER felt anything, no pain, nada nothing. We are talking removal of the tooth and bone graft as the bone was so eroded it had to be done. Same thing with tooth two. All this took an hour and fifteen minutes, simply amazing, Dr. Arnold is a true wizard of dentistry you can't go wrong with him we are blessed to have him to work on us! Dr Arnold told me I needed a crown however my previous dentist told me it was cosmetic. There is a difference between needing something and fixing something that is cosmetic in the back of my mouth that no one would see. Also I was given fluoride I wasn't asked if I wanted it and it ended costing me $50. read more

So I had a couple of good visits with Dr Arnold. But everything changed with my 3rd visit. It was a routine cleaning. The hygienist brutalized my teeth and gums. He was so aggressive that it just hurt. I grunted and groaned as he worked, but tried to tough it out. The more I thought about it over the next day or two, the more upset I was about it. I soon developed pain in a left molar. I don't know if it was related to the harsh cleaning, but I decided to go back to get it checked out. Dr. Arnold examined the tooth and said it likely would need a root canal and a crown. He referred me to an endodontist, He then said that his staff would prepare a treatment plan and pricing for the crown. He told me not to try to "shop around" for a better price. He stated that another patient had recently shopped for a better price and it had offended Dr. Arnold. He said that the patient ultimately returned for the work but Dr. Arnold implied that he somehow retaliated against the patient. I was mortified at hearing this from the dentist and decided that I will never return. read more

If you are looking for a location for a simple semi-annual dental cleaning, there is nothing wrong with this location and the dentist is pleasant. However, if you are looking for anything beyond a cleaning, I would highly recommend a different dentist. I have seen this practice grow over the past few years into a marketing machine. During each visit I have been presented with multiple items that "need to be done". I have spoken with friends who go to this same location, and they confirmed they are presented with a sale's pitch during each visit for unnecessary work. read more
