Aroma is a small, quaint cafe with a variety of options. Half of their menu consists of all kinds of coffees and drinks along with a lot pastries and bakery items. They also had a couple of small sandwiches to eat. On the other side they had main Chinese food. So overall they had a LOT of options.
We chose the northern hot beef, beef tender soup noodles, Singapore rice noodles and a hot chocolate and a slice of apple pie for desert. The hot chocolate and pie arrived immediately and looked absolutely wonderful. As we kept waiting for the main dishes, we couldn't resist and we finished off both. The apple pie was fresh and had that wonderful crisp taste with the right amount of crust and not too much sugar. The hot chocolate was the perfect mixture of frothy milk, milk and chocolate. We had to add a bit more sugar though.
We ended up waiting a good 27 minutes for the food to arrive. Now normally this wouldn't be that bad but since we were on a tour, our bus gave us an hour to finish our lunch. It took us about 12+ minutes to find the place leaving us only 20 minutes to eat and no time to look around. This is a tourist area so it would be better if they can manage to get their food out earlier. All of the dishes were absolutely delicious and had great flavor. The staff was very understanding and helped us fuss around trying to get everything ready to take with us.
We will definitely recommend this place and go again if we have some more time!! read more
