This is a very late review but it is important. We hired ARP - Adolfo and Anna - to help us fully renovate an income property of ours. This was our first very big construction job and we needed to find a very professional contractor we could trust. I will just say that Adolfo and Anna never let us down. They were extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of construction, permits, project management and client communication. They never said they couldn't handle a request. They made our situation much easier than it could have ever been with other contractors. The home turned out beautifully done and thank goodness, we had a buyer who fell in love with the home for her family. I have used ARP Construction twice (for a new roof and for a kitchen remodel) and I've been very satisfied both times. Adolfo takes great pride in his work and places a high value on having a satisfied customer. He and his crew are willing to go above and beyond. He was remodeling a friend's house in the neighborhood last year when we were having the rainstorms. Our roof sprung a leak and I got his number from my friend and called him in a bit of a panic. He came over right away to take a look and got someone out to patch it up before it started raining again. He helped us to prevent more serious damage to our home, which I greatly appreciated, and we ultimately hired him to replace the roof. This fall, we hired him again to remodel our kitchen. We were on a tight timeframe as we were trying to get it done before hosting Thanksgiving at our house. We ended up running into several delays (because of city inspections and structural issues that existed prior to us buying the house - no fault of ARP) that put the job a few weeks behind. However, Adolfo knew how important the deadline was and he remained diligent in making the structural changes the inspector required. Once we cleared the inspections, he coordinated his crew to work extra hours to get the job done with a few days to spare before Thanksgiving, without sacrificing the quality of the work. I have heard many horror stories about contractors and I can honestly say working with Adolfo was more than I could have hoped for. He is super nice and easy to work with. He is responsive to phone calls (we probably talked daily during the remodel) and I never had the experience of him not calling me back. There were a few things that I asked to have changed along the way and he was very accommodating, again wanting to make sure that as the customer I was happy with the finished product. His prices were fair and reasonable and he was upfront about all of the costs. His wife, Ana, also participates in the process and helped to keep the project coordinated and on track. She too was great to work with. I will not hesitate to use Adolfo and ARP Contractors again in the future and highly recommend him to anyone looking to make large or small changes to their home. read more

I did a remodel almost the entire house, excluding one bathroom and the kitchen. I was expecting the job to be done with an amazing result, a result that made me feel the money that I spent was worth it. But, the aftermath was not so satisfied at all. I see flaws and spots that could have been better if they were to take some time instead of rushing the work. Underneath the heat controller, the paint seems to puff out quite a bump. In other pictures, some paints were dent to the wall, the sight of it just is just ugly. The sliding doors of the shoe closet is a huge disappointment as evidenced in the picture. We know nothing about construction, so we did a lot of research to make sure we weren't taken for a ride. After meeting with Adolfo we knew he was the one for our job. Adolfo stayed within our budget and timeline, and worked closely with us to select all of the materials. This review of ARP Construction will run the risk of sounding hyperbolic, and I'm ok with that. ADOLFO IS THE BEST CONTRACTOR YOU WILL EVER FIND. My husband and I added almost 800 square feet of second story to our existing 1600 sq ft home. Our first contractor, with whom we stayed for 5 months (5 months too long) left us in a horrible, shoddy, desperate and disillusioned situation. Through two families from our childrens' school, we were referred ARP Construction, with exactly the same enthusiasm I am expressing now. Within days, we had fired our old contractor and hired Adolfo, and within 2 months our home was finished. He rectified a second story that was not level, added 2 new bathrooms, a brand new kitchen, 3 upstairs rooms, extended our existing downstairs and completed the exterior stucco of our whole home. Not only is Adolfo intelligent, judicious, thoughtful and patient, he is a genuinely good person who has compassion and flexibility and perspective. He is remarkably available (while still managing several jobs at the same time) and was on site every day and at the ready if we had any questions or concerns. All in all, my husband and I feel we were in hell for 5 months with our last contractor, and heaven for 2 with Adolfo. As those two families who recommended him said to us: "Stop looking. Adolfo is an honest and hardworking man who only contracts out the best craftsman and construction workers in Los Angeles. His team is incredibly hardworking and has fantastic attention to detail. I have a design background and am very particular about the materials, layout and craftsmanship of my home. His team met my standards and worked until it was right. I've had past contractors do work at our home who are so engaged in the beginning (before they land the contract) - after that, they are nowhere to be found and literally won't pick up the phone.
