Buerger Brothers Construction built an addition to our home, which included a 700+ square foot garage, using concrete poured on Piers and a floor poured as a "Slab on void" due to bad soils report. They also built a new deck, and managed front yard landscaping. They are an honest, ethical, professional, and an excellent company to do business with. We started planning in May of 2019, with construction from June through October of 2020, we found ways to work during the early days of the Covid pandemic. Communicating with Christian was a breeze, he was easy to talk to, responsive, professional and truly cares about what you are conveying. Because I am a retired engineer I had to stick my nose into everything... From the beginning he brought in professionals from the Architect, Structural Engineers to the finishing Carpenter and Painter, each step was amazing and all within budget. The cadre of subcontractors hired by Burger Brothers had to meet a high standard of professionalism and produce a high quality product, they were all wonderful to work with. Of note, was the daily cleanup, the care taken and the security to the existing area, especially working in the midst of a pandemic! Inconvenience was kept to a minimum and in the end we can actually say the complete project went quite smoothly and was a great experience. Would I hire them to do it again? Absolutely "In a heartbeat, no doubt about it!" I just cannot brag enough about this company and I promise you will not regret your decision to hire Christian and his crew! I could go on and on, but you get the gist.... if you want honesty and professionalism, these are your guys! Without hesitation I would recommend them and would hire them again to do any construction project.

Even when I decided to change from a shower only to a bathtub installation, Gabriel was able to accommodate the change and adjust the work order without issue or hesitation. He did a great job installing the tile, and even went above and beyond when some floor tile needed to be removed from one area and added to another area to accommodate a vanity with less depth than the previous one. Installing all the new bathroom components, including a new toilet, vanity, tub, shower hardware and light figure were all done to perfection. Gabriel was very professional, clean and neat, stuck to the budget, and provided all receipts for the out of pocket items he purchased. As well, he was great at working with me to help make decisions when I wasn't sure what to do on certain things. I would definitely look to hire him again for future projects, and definitely recommend him for your home improvement project, especially if new tile is a part of it.

Understanding the circumstance, but also willing to wait for the right team, I responded and asked the business to let me know if that changed in the future, as we have several projects in our home and are hoping to bring the same team aboard for all of them. I then received the attached response offering a completely different explanation than before. Rather than acting with integrity, the business elected to tell a lie, as the project was likely not lucrative enough for them. I made no reference to my budget, but the business assumed I would not be interested in paying their prices. I would like to offer a two-star rating, though, as the communication was quite prompt.

Let me start this off by saying we liked Jordon and Cam so much that we had them over to dinner…read moreonce our basement remodel was finished. Dinner. With our basement contractors. That's huge. After working with contractors so closely for weeks and weeks, it might have been enough to say "Here's a check, see ya later." But these two (and mostly Jordon) were a huge part of my life on a daily basis and I have to say I was a bit bummed when the project was over. I stay at home with my kids and not only did Jordon provide me with some adult interaction, but he and Cam always made time to talk to my toddler even when they'd been here all day and just wanted to go home. Short story long, these guys are good people. I trusted them (still do) with my home and my kids. The project was an entire gut remodel of an approximately 1300sf basement. It was permitted and done to code. They (and their licensed subcontractors) demoed, did an egress window, framed, insulated, drywalled, plumbed, did electrical, painted, carpeted, laid plank vinyl, etc. We had a few concerns before choosing a contractor, namely: 1) that we would choose quality contractors (our kitchen guy turned out to be a real piece of work), and 2) that the estimated project cost wasn't going to skyrocket throughout the project due to poor planning on the contractor's part. Turns out we DID choose quality contractors which was apparent throughout the project in how respectful they were, how respectful their subcontractors were, and how they listened to us and worked to do as we pleased. The project cost did NOT skyrocket on their part (but it did increase a bit on our end when we decided to add and change a few things as the project went along). Some things were unforeseen like some small foundation cracks that we decided to have professionally fixed, and some new code changes for 2017 that were discovered at the time of permitting, but all in all it was at our budget, done well, done professionally, and we are so very happy with the results. Before we chose them, I had at least 8 people come to bid the project and spoke to probably 15-20 others. It was a long process to come up with someone. We almost went with someone else but it fell through, and although I was upset at the time I know everything happens for a reason. If meeting Jordon and Cam was the reason, then I'm glad for it. In fact, I saw them again today to quote two other smaller jobs, so needless to say I hope to work with these guys again. Do yourself a favor and have them bid your work, and then go ahead and sign with them.

Elle (our designer) literally read our minds and came up with the perfect ideas for colors and finishes. we especially love our new kitchen - it used to be so dark and small, and honestly really tricky... there was no island, just two weird peninsulas. it blows our mind how it got transformed into such a luxurious space! the execution was great. we had a few surprises along the way, but everything was handled properly. communication was always clear and transparent. I was slightly hesitant to use a company that didn't have much of an internet presence, however I know that homegrown businesses are generally cheaper because they have less overhead. I sent Luis a message here on Yelp and he responded relatively quickly with an estimate (which he stuck to even with some slight modifications to the project during the work). Few days later and he was here with his crew on a Saturday and ready to roll. The project took them a few hours, and Luis had to make a couple trips to Home Depot during the job. The entire time they were here, they were very professional and respectful of my property. They used wood and metal to cover up the pipes, and everything was measured perfectly, and his "finisher" came to the house to repaint them to match the textured paint on the existing basement wall. I have to say it came out looking better than I could have imagined. They cleaned up after themselves pretty well and Luis was very nice to talk to. I wouldn't hesitate to use Luis again for a construction job. He does quality work and stuck to his initial estimate.
