The ranch and ride was so much fun, being outdoors with the beautiful horses. It was my first time riding- felt nervous but excited- and the team made me feel at ease. I received a mini walkthrough on how to guide the horse to go forward, stop, and turn. My guide was Matt who made my first visit (but not last!) great - told great stories, and shared about various animal/plant activity along the trail. They told us she would be starting in 4 weeks time because she was 3rd on the list. No problem. They said they would call when it was time. Called back in 5 weeks. The person who answered seemed annoyed at my inquiry, and stated "we have a pretty big show coming up in 2 weeks, she won't be starting until after that". Again, she indicated someone would contact us after the show was over. 3 more weeks went by, made another call, left a message, no response. Another few days, another message, no response. I just don't understand how you can ghost a 10 year old after telling her she can train but then repeatedly delaying her start date. If you can't accommodate, why not just say that upfront instead of getting a kids hopes up? I understand busy, but the blatant disrespect for other people's time, especially where a child is concerned, is just a huge let down.

The scenery was absolutely breathtaking -- a crisp, snow-covered trail winding through tall pine trees under a brilliant blue sky with perfect fluffy clouds. The weather was ideal: sunny, calm, and just cold enough to make it feel like a true winter escape without being uncomfortable. Huge shoutout to our incredibly patient and helpful tour guide who made the entire experience smooth, safe, and enjoyable for everyone (especially first-timers). She was fantastic with the horses and kept the ride relaxed and fun the whole way. Highly recommend this experience for families looking to create lasting memories together. 10/10!

Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The horses are well trained and follow each other since they already know the trail, but they still respond to commands like go and stop, and you can steer them left or right if you want. That made us feel comfortable even as first-time riders. The only area I think could be improved is having a small practice area for brand-new riders to learn the basics before heading out on the trail. Other than that, everything was amazing. The ride was about an hour long and very enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back!

The very young instructor yelled ALOT during the lesson, but never went into explaining technique or cues for the horse. Like I said, this seems to be more for any kid that wants to ride a pony, but not if you are looking to advance your career (IEF and above type).

There are a lot of empty stalls, though!…read more My main complaints are that the horses spend too much time in the stall and they nickel and dime you to death...I've never taken any of their lessons because they are too expensive. Example: this past summer was very wet, so they would not put the horses in the pasture for fear they would tear up the pasture. However, they did offer to put your horse on the hot walker for $10 per day but you had to buy 10 days minimum. In addition, they insist on keeping your credit card on file to automatically charge. To push this strategy, they charged extra if you paid by check, stating that it was due to the extra costs of cashing checks....uh.... there ARE no extra fees for cashing checks but you do pay more for credit card transactions!

Not only do they have a great facility, they really love and care for the horses and the boarders. And the kid's program is the best i've seen--which explains why we experienced a waiting list at first. But it was worth the wait.
