The staff was downright rude to all guests. Their expectation was for two full days to use their one concession stand with fried food, and nachos with no accommodations for gluten allergies or understanding that competing athletes need healthier options. They would Absolutely NOT allow food during our Sunday session that started at 8:00 am and ran through 10:00 pm. On Saturday we were held in a holding pen, as we were allowed to bring food at 12:30 pm only. Once it was 12:30, we were released to deliver food. Overall, have been in countless arenas, and facilities over the years and this was the worst experience by far. The staff needs trained in how to handle folks who are spending money at your facility, and be treated as guests not criminals.

Security does a great job pointing people in the direction of their seats and ensuring that stairways and hallways remain clear. In terms of food and drink, I was really impressed with the number of options. They have two full service food counters on either side of the arena. While I personally did not get anything, I saw people passing by with nachos and popcorn. If you want something a little more substantial Antones Poboys and Chick-fil-a were both set up for grab and go. They also had lots of alcoholic beverage options from tall boy beers, liquor for cocktails and even a spiked fresh lemonade stand. The arena has a fan shop onsite, some historical displays and a kid coloring zone. The game itself was well played (they won!) and executed from the announcer to the lights and entertainment. It being my first time going to NRG I want quite sure what to expect. I will say this though that NRG and Google/ Apple maps need to figure out why the orange parking lot is sending people to the wrong location. Outside of that everything else flowed so smoothly! From parking passes to checking in, everything was digital with plenty of kiosk all around. The lines flowed so smoothly you would've never thought that there were over 60k people in attendance. Also thank God the A/C was working because temps were at 100 degrees and I would've passed out for sure. There were plenty of food trucks outside of the stadium, but once inside you were kind of limited to your typical hotdogs, nachos, and the sort. I tried the hotdog which was just ok and the chicken fingers tasted more like fried pieces of batter than actual chicken smh. So likely didn't get much chicken to say the least. Now the fries were exceptional! Thankfully fifa also allowed guests to bring in one water bottle do that cane in clutch along with fill up stations all around the facilities. The game was the highlight of the experience! Watching Canada vs Morocco in action was amazing. The energy inside of NRG was unmatched. Everyone was just so respectful and nice. Even though two of the players did get into a lil argument at one point in the game. Overall, great seats for a once in a lifetime experience! Thank you NRG for being apart of the World Cup tour. Just work on those chicken fingers because that was unacceptable.

Since it was a hot and muggy day, free cold water and run thru water mist (provided by the fire dept) were offered. Outside of the stadium, there were multiple food trucks, activity areas, and clean mobile restrooms, not the gross porta potties. Went through security- women make sure to have a clear bag/purse and size as specified. Seating sections were clearly marked. We loved our seats and had no issues with views. Section 330. Restrooms were nearby and if there was a line, it moved fast. Great game! I also appreciated that it's a closed stadium. There were storms during the game and we were not affected. Although after the game, all were notified to shelter in place for a bit due to lightning. Easy peasy experience!
