Our prime rib was amazing, the pork shoulder roasts made a fabulous Pork Ragu, and looking forward to using the short ribs in my Osso Bucco with polenta.

It was the perfect balance of tart & sweet. I think the addition of soft, plump raisins might have been the winning factor. The little restaurant & coffee shop is set amid a local market. Lots of great items from fresh plants to bourbon. They also have non perishables like cards & socks. Cute place & worth the stop. Everyone drools over them. We even put them on our wedding charcuterie and con continuously had people asking where did you get those beets! Now I really hate mushrooms, and my daughter loathes them...BUT I found a wonderful mushroom seasoning there that we just can't live without anymore. It is called 4Shroom and it is by P Dickey's. Not sure if it is available anywhere else but I know you can get it at MacFarlane's ! If you ever had wanted to try something different, MacFarlane's is the place to go, especially if you can get to one of their taste test days...all sorts of FREE samples to tempt your taste buds. The canned goods/frozen goods are scattered and look like purchased from other stores and resold here as they keep changing. This store is more like what you would find in a gas station. The meats are okay - not a great selection. Like I said in the beginning- this is a good place to just grab something when can't go to other stores and just really makes the neighborhood not a food desert.
