On Thursday, August 6th, 2020 Barry from Arrow Fence came to my house to provide an estimate to install a fence. He explained that he should have an estimate to me by Monday, and that if I decided to move forward they require a 50% deposit in order to get on their schedule. He told me they were booking 8 weeks out and the best way to reach him was via email. On 8/14 I get the estimate. That day I called Arrow and paid the 50% deposit. Well, 8 weeks rolls by with no word from Barry so I emailed him. No response. Week 10 comes and I emailed him again. After no response I call Arrow on 10/15 and speak with a woman who said she will have him contact me because "he is responsible for his own scheduling". That day Barry finally responds to my email by saying "he should be able to get to it in the next couple of weeks." Hmm. Well, 2 more weeks roll by with no word from Barry. On 10/29 I email Barry to ask when they will be coming. No response. On 11/13 (THREE MONTHS after my deposit!) I was fed up and called to cancel the job. I reached a woman and explained what happened and why I was cancelling. No apology, no empathy, no nothing. In fact, she was curt and unfriendly. I was even more surprised to find out that Barry is one of the owners of the company (I asked). Now that is a head scratcher. read more

Just had a black aluminum fence installed around our entire property and it looks amazing. Barry and team were here bright and early and had the entire job done shortly after lunch. Arrow fenced our backyard with black chain link just before Thanksgiving 2018. Jake was our sales rep (not sure if that adequately describes his position). Jake is very knowledgeable about fencing and helped a great deal to overcome obstacles (jumping rock walls, changes in topography, etc) in our backyard. To further complicate things we had to have a tree removed that was in a tight lean over where we wanted the fence to go. Removal of the tree was postponed several times, so Jake willingly installed all the fence except for that section which meant he had to send his crew out twice to finish the job. Jake maintained excellent communications throughout so that we always knew what was happening. The fence looks great and our dogs love being able to run free! We're totally impressed with Arrow Fence and Jake, and would recommend them to everyone. read more

We called in several fence companies to quote the removal of old fencing and replacement. It was a big job, and the topography of our lot was challenging. Not only is it quite hilly, but we also needed it to be "dog tight" - with fencing flush to the ground. Although Arrow Fencing was not the least expensive, I had the greatest confidence in them after speaking to Jake, the job supervisor. We did negotiate a little on price based on other quotes. As I said, it was a big job, and they agreed to leave the work site "dog safe" every night when they left. And they did. Debris was taken away on a daily basis, and my request to leave some of the cedar for firewood was accommodated. I know any muscle man can dig a fence hole - but truly the fence is a thing of beauty. The three gates had to be custom made on site, and they work perfectly. One small detail we didn't care for (it was actually a mis-communication between myself and Jake) was IMMEDIATELY corrected. One crazy (and expensive) idea I had Jake talked us out of. The crew on site where polite and hardworking and the job was started and completed in the timeline I was told to expect. Because our lot actually adjoins five different neighbors (it's long across the back) the transitions where important and they were beautifully done. They take credit cards, if you want to rack up points - which I appreciated. Especially since the fence cost more than my first car....! read more

I was recommended to Arrow Fence from a classmate at a local dog training facility. My condo has a small fenced area on the front of the property that needed some maintenance. They were able to come out, and re-set one of the posts and make sure the fence was secure. I'm always hesitant on hiring people to come do odd jobs around the house, but, of the people I've brought in to do work (the plumber that disappeared at 95% job completion and I had to cancel the check was a nightmare) I felt comfortable hiring these guys. I also, being a crazy dog person, appreciate that they also have a section on their website where they do kennels and dog runs. I purchased a fence from Arrow about seven years ago. The fence has aged well, with only a minor problem recently with the gate. I had never got around to scheduling a service call. Recently Arrow was at my neighbors house for something. I asked the installers to give me some advice about my gate when they were through with the job they were on. All I wanted was some direction about whether I should do the repair, or schedule a service call. Instead, the gentleman fixed the gate, showed me how to adjust the hinges in the future in about a minute, without a charge. In short, this was a customer service experience that could serve as a template for many others. AMAZING!! Jake and his team are absolutely incredible to work with--this is my second experience with Arrow Fence (I had my fenced area expanded). Just like the first time, Jake was honest, reasonable and fulfilled every promise made. His team is wonderful. They came out and worked in horrible weather (windy, pouring rain) to get the job done on the day I needed. I had a very positive experience with Arrow Fence! I hired them to complete a dog proof fence in my small backyard this summer. Jake was helpful, professional, and clear from the beginning of the process. His crew worked hard even in 90+ degree heat (!) and were efficient and courteous. We had one miscommunication about fence height on one side of the yard and I only realized it after some of the panels had gone up already. I had Arrow's Paul Sullivan coordinate the fencing of my property. I spent $13,000 on the job only to find less than 3 years later all the main posts are badly cracked. This is not the typical cracking you see when wood naturally "checks" itself...this is bad cracking as a result of what I suspect is Arrows use of poor grade timber. Their guarantee of 1 year is a joke. Who ever heard of that on a fence! Dont use these people they are con artists. New owner came out & like I suspected, claimed this was all supposed to happen & for a fence "that age" (less than 5 years!) it looked good to him. I regret not using my former fence people, Jack and Sons, based in Worcester- they were amazing & the fence they installed on my rental property over 12 years ago still stands straight with no "natural" huge cracking beyond little splits. read more

Then she asked me the size which I am not sure about and am sure I underestimated the then she told me they don't service Worcester (they are in Marlboro) was totally dismissive and rude and hung up. 5 stars for installation, 0 stars for support. We had Arrow Fence install a cedar fence around our property in 2010. They did an excellent job of the design (working through a stand of trees), removal of the old partial fence, and installation of the new cedar, and the fence still looks good for the most part. The one exception is a leaning segment of the fence (where we had to reinforce the old fence, too). I have contacted them multiple times (at least 5) over a period of a few months, by both phone and email. On the phone I was told someone would come by and then send an estimate, which I never received. My email was not answered. It's very disappointing when a company refuses to support their work, as Arrow Fence is doing. They even advertise fence repair service on their website, but they apparently refuse to repair a fence that they installed. read more

From beginning to end, my experience with Arrow has been great. I had to reschedule my initial consultation with them a few times and they were always very accommodating. One of the owners, Barry, even communicated via email over the weekend about the timing of my fence installation scheduled for Monday morning. I contacted Arrow Fence months ago for an estimate. About a month later, I agreed to the propsal and paid a deposit. I called on a weekly basis asking when we could schedule the work. Each time, the receptionist said the project manager would be in touch. He never contacted me. Until one day I recieved a short voicemail saying, "Ill be there and it wil be done by the end of the week." It was never done and no one has ever contacted me. They gave me my deposit back, but I waisted over 3 months waiting for them when I could of easily had another company complete the job. read more

We just had our second fence installed by Arrow. The first fence was a 20 year old Cedar fence, which we were told to expect 12 years. Our new fence is a combination cedar & chain link, which we expect will last us the rest of our lives. Arrow was very professional helping us select the fences we needed at the price we could afford in both cases. The second fence was up in less than half a day and included removal of the first (with some small shrubbery). All I can say is not only are we very happy, but our neighbors are pleased as well. I've dealt with dozens of different contractors over the years on a variety of projects and I have to say, Arrow is as good as they come. Jake came out and assessed our pool area and made some suggestions and recommendations to keep the cost down. He was pleasant and easy to deal with, and the project was done exactly when he said it would be and the end result was awesome. We had a slight issue with one of the gates a few months later and he sent someone out to fix it the next day at no cost to us. We used Arrow fence based on a recommendation from our pool company. What a mistake. Jake from Arrow fence came out and met with our landscaper to come up with the fencing plan. Jakes team installed the fence at the wrong grade. Both our pool decking company and landscaper said Arrow should fix their mistake no questions asked. Jake was not willing to fix their mistake and said he would charge us $1800 to fix their mistake. When I asked for his insurance info he would not provide it and said to sue him. I have been doing business with Arrow Fence Company for 15 years now. At this time I am in the process of the 4th job they have done for me and my wife at our home in Grafton Ma. I can't say enough about Jake and also all of his workers! We have always dealt with Jake for every job and he has been outstanding! Jake makes you feel more like family than a customer. He always goes above and beyond to make you happy. His workers are outstanding too. Arrow fence has done 2 separate fence jobs and also installed some really nice railings on our front walk for safety. They did a really nice job fencing in our outside deck, it looks really nice now. So, I have recommended Arrow fence to a lot of people at work and also my friends. Also, I can't understand the negative comments about the receptionist?
