The client field an appeal and won - the felony conviction was vacated. The attorney who took the case pro bono was sued by the client and now has a black mark on his legal record. Mr. Malek never paid this young attorney for his time, he should have acted as a mentor to this young attorney instead he used him for his services and left him to deal with the life long legal scaring of being sued as ineffective counsel.
