When I was starting to plan my move, I was going to do the UHaul/hire movers myself plan. I really didn't feel like driving the truck or dealing with the extra headache of being responsible for said truck. I was referred to Neutz by my cousin, and she had high praises for them as well. Jami was an absolute gem to work with as well when scheduling/coordinating. I will absolutely be using them again for future moves and recommend them to anyone needing movers. This was (by far) the easiest, most stress-free moving experience that I have had to date!

Josh, Eric and Austin called about 30 minutes in advance and were ready to work when they arrived. Within an hour, they had the whole unit in the truck. Once we arrived to the house, only took about another hour to unload. These guys were nice and worked extremely hard. The price ended up being less than quoted. The only thing that kept from giving the company 5 out of 5 was communication- It would have been nice to have a text or email that confirmed of the appointment. I began getting a lil nervous when they were running late, so I called the office and confirmed my appointment that morning. I would use again!

I checked after they left and the coupons were gone. Hired them again in 2022 to move into a one bedroom apartment in St Matthew's. When they got there they did not give enough time to direct them where I wanted things, they broke one of my lamps, and I lost a box with pictures and 3 small mini cameras. My last move, I used a moving organizer She used these guys. When we got to the new apartment, again I went into my bedroom and checked my two Chester drawers. Again, the drawers had clothes stuffed into drawers they did not belong in, a pair of jeans that should have been with the clothes in the walk in closet, and they spilled a large bowl of change I had in my Chester drawers. Don't use these guys. Untrustworthy and the owners / office are no help.

I did have a bill of lading from one of the big boy moving companies so he would have an idea of the size of the load. I was able to give him the weight of the load as well as the cubic feet of the load that the national moving company had in their truck. I did explain since i had been in Louisville I had purchased new washer and dryer, a new couch, a new chair and a new table and chairs for the kitchen. He walked the house and saw what I had which most of it was still boxed from my previous move in October of 2022. He stated that a 26-foot box truck would easily accommodate my household belongings. At first he quoted me an hourly rate of $50/hr for his people to pack and load then unload. Then he quoted me a hard number of $4,300 to pack, load a 26 foot truck, drive it to Indianapolis, unload and assemble items like beds, tables and such. I received another quote from a local mover which was a little lower but since Corey seemed more professional and seemed to know what he was doing I chose Alpha Moving. The three guys showed up pretty much when scheduled, one was a little late but we all got into packing the boxes I had saved from my previous move. I was working and packing as much as they were. I bought the three of them lunch and we got back at it. Afterwards I gave them all a $20 for their efforts. On the moving day they were supposed to return between 9 and 10 AM. Robert, one of the other owners, called me at about 9:20 to say that U-Haul did not give him any blankets and that he would need to return to the U-Haul store to get some. (My thought was, wouldn't you notice that before you leave the store and not while you are driving to my house? How does that happen? Did he stop for breakfast and look in the truck? Why didn't he notice when he was there?) Robert finally arrived after 10 AM and the guys started loading. As they got closer to the back of the truck there seemed to be more close conversations between them. They came to me and asked if I can take some items with me in my SUV which I reminded them that I had two large dogs that have been wandering around the house that I will be taking with me. Then they decided that they would place some items, as much as they could, into one of the employees cars. They finally came back to me and said that everything would not fit into the truck and they would either need to rent a trailer or they could have another employee drive his personal pick up (Ford Ranger) and fit as much as they could in that for another $300.00. I told them that I was ensured by Corey that everything would fit into a 26-foot box truck with ease. I told them that I work in an industry that when you give a price you live by it. Well Corey and Robert did not and were charging me the added $300 to get my belongings to my new house. Before we left they were sliding a glass tabletop to a desk into the truck and it shattered into over a million pieces. There was glass everywhere! It took them forever to sweep it out of the truck and on to the driveway and then pick it up off of the driveway using my broom and dustpan. We finally got all loaded and ready for our trek north at around 2 PM. I knew this had the makings of a very long day already. They offloaded the furniture first so I was able to direct where each piece was to go without issue. When they began offloading the boxes that was a different story. They had some boxes that were not labeled so they inevitably ended up in the wrong room. When they finally got everything unloaded we were all standing near the front door and I thanked them for their efforts. I gave them each a $20 again and told them I wish I could give them more but that I was still upset about being charged an extra $300 for Corey underestimating the size of the truck/equipment need to move my belongings and I was going to give each one of them a $50 bill but that they would need to see Corey for it. At that time Robert told me that it all most likely would have fit in this truck but he noticed early on that when they had started packing the front of the truck there were "pockets" and open spaces and the truck should have been packed better and "tighter" than it was. At this point one of the more seasoned employees turned around and walked out the door. I believe he was upset that Robert had just thrown him under the bus in front of a client. So we ended up settling on $300 for the cost of the glass tabletop but they charge an extra 3 or 4% if you use a credit card so they charged me $150 so my total bill was $4450.00 all in. As I have been unpacking I have noticed that one particular box is missing from my many boxes. I have texted Corey to see if either of the two Alpha employees have found the box in their vehicles but he has not responded at all in well over 72 hours which is very bad business.

From the sleazy "used car salesman" approach by multiple employees when setting up the appointment to the complete lack of respect and disregard shown in canceling my appointment on the day of my scheduled move. Every employee I spoke with was located at a "call center" and not even at the actual place of business. The supervisor at the call center who called herself "Jana", then changed her name to Melissa was the worst! I had a contract for services, paid a deposit and was canceled with no explanation. I relied to my detriment on this contract to fulfill a scheduled move on a specific date and time. This is by far the worst company I have ever encountered.

I was quite stressed about my move because it was the first time that I, at 70 years old, had to manage a household move on my own, having lost my husband nearly a year ago. I had worked at packing until nearly midnight the night before the scheduled move and was not at all confident it would go well. Within minutes of the extremely professional team showing up, my stress level was in check and going down. I have experienced many corporate moves over my career, but none had workers more committed and invested in the success of the move. This team was phenomenal. I highly recommend Two Men and a Truck for your moves in the Louisville, KY area.

They said "would Thursday work for you"? It's Monday! Imagine disconnecting all your electronics, washer/dryer, and having to remove all the light bulbs from your lamps as instructed and getting that message the day of the planned move? Although I called and left a message that since the house has been sold that would not work for us. We never heard back from the manager. We called the office 3 or 4 times and were assured that that's not the way they do business with no result. Finally they sent a truck from Lexington with a second truck coming from Frankfort to get all the furniture, boxes and wall hangings to complete the task. The movers from Lexington came and were very helpful and professional. We and the movers from Lexington never saw or heard from the truck supposedly coming from Frankfort. Because the guys from Lexington could only work so many hours after they worked an earlier job and the second truck never came only half of our belongings made it to the new house. Of course they didn't have any trucks available the next day(Tuesday) and we were told that Wednesday would be the soonest we could expect to get the rest of our belongings brought to the new house. Tuesday morning at after 10 am we still haven't heard anything from them. Our son in law, a business owner himself, contacted 2 Men & a Truck on his own to get a firmer commitment to complete the job. We finally got an answer that they could finish the job at 3:30 pm on Wednesday. On the plus side they actually came around 2 pm. Unfortunately the movers they sent Wednesday afternoon did not appear to be as experienced as the ones from Lexington. The large dresser was dropped coming down the steps and resulted in a large scratch, a wheel on the antique cabinet was lost, and initially they weren't sure they could bring the framed pictures and wall hangings because they didn't have the boxes to them. The prints/wall hangings were part of the initial agreement and they reluctantly took them. Oh, they didn't have a big enough truck so they couldn't take the grill nor a small metal cabinet that was supposed to be on the original agreement. Once at the new house they assembled the bed to the guest bedroom with the mattress way too high and later once they left we realized the reason for the mattress being too high was because the footboard was assembled upside down. We will have to reassemble the bed because of this. This was a miserable experience and only the stellar work of the movers from Lexington kept our review from being a 1 instead of a 2. Although the motto on the side of the truck reads "Movers who care" a more accurate motto should read "Movers-Who cares?" Management seems to be uncaring in Louisville and will give you the runaround. We have used them in the past and no longer recognize them as being reliable I fear.
