The team lead was an asthmatic who told his supervisor that he was well enough to work. He wasn't. Both he and his team member where slow and sloppy. There was no organization to how they packed the truck or took things from the apartment. Everything was done very haphazardly. They wound up not getting everything on the truck. When I discovered that they couldn't get everything on the truck, I told them they had to move the furniture. Even though I was told they would move some things to a dumpster, I had to ask them three times to move it. The last time was after they had got in the truck to go to our new home. They also broke the storm door on the apartment and left a form gash in the linoleum. After talking to Cardinal Moving twice, they agreed to send out a second team the following day at no additional charge to move what had been left behind. The difference time between the two teams was amazing. The guys on the second team were professionals. You could tell that they knew what they were doing in how quickly and efficiently they moved the boxes and packed the truck. If we had had the second crew on the first day, we would not have had to pay 66% more than the original estimate. I did my research, but it wasn't enough. Two people recommended Cardinal Moving. Maybe the problems we had with our move were an aberration. My question: are you willing to take a 1 in 3 chance that you get inexperienced movers and wind up paying 66% more than the quote? I will not take the chance again.

Every employee I spoke with was located at a "call center" and not even at the actual place of business. The supervisor at the call center who called herself "Jana", then changed her name to Melissa was the worst! I had a contract for services, paid a deposit and was canceled with no explanation. I relied to my detriment on this contract to fulfill a scheduled move on a specific date and time. This is by far the worst company I have ever encountered.

I was the primary contact for all moving issues. We used a different company (not Clean Slate) to move from her old house TO the storage unit. They were "decent" but I felt a little used and abused by their add on charges after the fact. I started looking for a different mover when it was time to move from the storage unit to the new home. All communications were via text. Clean Slate did meet another movers price and since they had so many 5 star reviews, I decided to go with them. There was one problem, they showed up an hour late.
