I've talked to this company twice since they took over for Farmers Disposal, and both times were awful. Some of the rudest customer service I've ever experienced -- seriously, every time you call they're short, dismissive, and just plain mean. I missed one pickup day when they took over and was told it would cost $20 for a single pickup, when a full three-month bill is only $60. Then when I called to cancel because I was moving, they were incredibly rude again -- even refused to let the new homeowners use the service I had already pre-paid for. When I tried to explain, the rep actually called me dishonest for wanting to cancel after my three months were up. To top it off, they were rude about picking up the trash bins -- even after I said I had recommended them to the new homeowners. Safe to say, I'll be telling them not to use this company instead. Bottom line: terrible customer service, no empathy, and rude for absolutely no reason. You can tell they hate their jobs. Avoid them if you can. I understand why Farmers Disposal was so successful in the area and I'd pay more to avoid Arrow Waste. Funny enough, they lost a customer at my new house too. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with your customer service. I previously called to make a payment and also requested to have my account set up on auto pay. Later, when I noticed that auto pay had not been activated, I called to follow up. The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and dismissive--she essentially called me a liar and insisted I had never called or made a payment over the phone, only online. The customer service I received was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Based on this experience, I will definitely be looking for a new trash service. read more

Gwen at Arrow Waste is the most rude receptionist I've ever dealt with! Ever since Arrow Waste has taken over Farmers Disposal the trash service has gone down the tubes! Their drivers leave trash on the road, leave the garbage can practically in the middle of the roadway after dumping, and now today, they hauled off my trash and entire garbage can because I paid my bill late for the first time ever (by 2 wks) after a 5yr customer history AND despite the fact that i paid this IN FULL online DIRECTLY through my bank account last night! When I called in concern this morning this Gwen person, with SUCH a demeaning tone in her voice, was unwilling to hear my explanation or attempt to see if she could resolve the situation, given the fact that I was now out $57 bucks and also out of a garbage bin! Rather, she told me I SHOULD have directly called the office to pay instead of paying online so now I can pay another $20 to get my cart back!! REALLY?! Can't check with the manager or anything? Just got off the phone with Arrowaste "customer service. " This morning I called bc they empied my cart but didn't pick up the 2 bags beside it. The explanation given was that they don't want their workers to get out of the truck. Their JOB is to pick up garbage and they won't. First, this company charges you to pay your bill with a credit card. Secondly, this company sends your paper bill weeks in advance, and when it bothers to provide a due date for the bill, makes sure the due date is two weeks prior to date of services covered. Thus, even if you pay 13 days before services begin, you will be charged a late fee. Thirdly, the most recent bill has no due date at all. All payments thus represent a weeks-long no-interest loan, and encourage late payment fees. Finally, be ready to be awoken by garbage pick-up shortly before or very shortly after 6:00 AM. Customer service does not meet expectations. There is a lack of training to keep customers. I was expecting something like, " We are here to help. Do not worry; we will ensure we collect your trash, relax, and sit." Instead, the lady's answer was rude and not truthful. How do you expect to keep customers happy? We started with Everkept and ended up with Arrowaste when they bought them out. The transition was seamless and we have been pleased with their service. The price might be a little bit higher (I honestly don't pay that close attention, but I know it's not more than a few bucks) but everything seems to be a bit higher right now. We did have an incident where one of the wheels on the recycling bin got bent when it was dumped. I called and arrangements were made to swap the bent wheel out with a new one. Easy peasy and very cheerfully handled. I am satisfied with our service and can't understand why some of our neighbors use companies that cost more. I think it's a no brainer to do business with Arrowaste. read more

In my area, they were Potluck, which was great. The transition became not very publicly known, the issue I had was that as soon as that happened they stopped my service. They only reached out by email informing me about the purchase, and I didn't read it, so my bad there. And I think they had it on their webpage, which to be honest I don't check that often. But I wasn't aware of the purchase of the company and when I called to know what happened they were very rude and told me they couldn't charge my card, so my service was suspended. Customer service said it was a new system so they didn't have my card info, I got charged extra for reactivation and am now obligated to pay quarterly. There's no other option in the area, and for any questions you may have like related to holiday service and hours, you get horrendous service on the phone, they are very bad-mannered. It's just so unpleasant to know they take advantage of knowing they're now a monopoly. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Still trying to resolve a billing issue from Sept of 2023 and Diane Drunkenmiller, their head PR person, is ghosting me. They will not respond to me so I've taken to emailing them weekly. Buyer beware!!! If you end up witha billing issue with them like I did, they will gaslight and ignore you and not resolve the complaint. Would NEVER use this company again. Their policy has been they will pick up their trash can plus 3 things at no additional charge. That's what they've told me over the phone on more than one occasion. So, like we've done the whole time we used them, this week we set out their trash can and two smaller ones we have. We've had to replace trash cans and the two we have have gotten continuously broken and beaten up as we've put them at the curb. Their driver will set their Arrow Waste trash can upright, and then throw ours on the ground on their sides, then pitch the lids on the grass. My husband was working from home this week and told me the trash collector threw our trash cans, which confirmed our suspicious as to how our garbage cans were getting destroyed. One is cracked down one side and broken at the top rim, another has a a lid that is shattered with a large section broken out. We don't throw our own trash cans, they're on wheels, so all we do is roll them up and down the driveway, then park them up against our barn. When I retrieved our trash cans this week, I also noticed not only the damage, but that the trash collector had left some of our garbage on the edge of our lawn! I had to pick up chicken bones, used paper towels, etc. This was the last straw. I called Arrow Waste and spoke with a mouthy girl who was obnoxious. She kept repeating herself, saying, "We're not liable for your trash cans!" - To which I replied, "You are responsible for the willful misconduct of your employees and for damages caused by them." She actually tried to use the situation to get more money out of US (!) saying they'd bring a second trash can. I had to ask if that would cost us, and she said yes, they would be charging us. No way! When she couldn't win the argument she was trying so hard to have with me, she said, "Just a minute!" and came back a minute later saying, "We'll give you $10 and drop off a second trash can at no charge." I said, "Okay, it's not what I had hoped you'd do to compensate for the damages and the trash left behind that I had to clean up, but at least your doing something, so I'll agree to that." THEN she tried to add on conditions afterward, saying, "But then you can only put out trash in those two containers." I said no - right now I can put out a container plus 3 items. You're cutting down my service with just those 2 containers. She tried to get argumentative again - and tried yelling over me as I was talking, which didn't work very well for her. I told her to terminate our service effective immediately and refund our payment for the coming 2 months. This is the second issue we've had with them. A couple of years ago I was home when their trash collector came. He went to put some light bulbs in the trash truck, and ended up shattering the glass all over the street in front of our house. He looked at our house and yelled, "F***You!" at the top of his lungs. Then he emptied one of our trash cans into the truck and THREW the lid to our trash can several feet onto our front lawn, across our driveway. I called Arrow to tell them about the incident, and the guy in their offices had the audacity to actually ask if there was anything about our trash that would have upset their trash collector?!!! Um, no... it's just your basic, everyday trash we put out every week... I had to go out and sweep up the broken glass out of the street. Today we got an invoice from Arrow and although the owe us the 2 months we paid that we won't use with them, they didn't refund our money, made up some crap about we had had "5 extra bags" of trash during that billing and they were "charging us for 2" - so while they owe use $30+, their letter/invoice to us seems to indicate they don't want to return the money we paid in advance AND actually think we would be stupid enough to pay them $5 when that is not part of the terms they've had during the time we did business with them. One of the core values on Arrowaste's website is "consistent service that makes you (the customer), our priority - period..." Arrowaste mistakenly grabbed our trash and recycling containers yesterday. Coincidentally, we also had a new fridge delivered, so had perishable trash to put in the dumpster right away after pickup. I contacted Arrowaste first thing this morning to have the dumpsters returned. I was told by the receptionist and by the general manager that they wouldn't have anyone available to bring a dumpster out until tomorrow. This surprised me. As a long-standing customer, I expected Arrowaste to find a way to have at least one of the dumpsters delivered today, especially after explaining the situation. In reality, a dumpster could fit in most vehicles, and essentially anyone could deliver one with the service philosophy claimed on the website. I wonder what the general manager's expectation would be if he were the customer? While I realize we are just one paying customer, the unwillingness to find a way is disappointing. If we were not on a shared driveway and I didn't have to consider the wear and tear on our driveway of heavy vehicles, I would switch companies in a heartbeat. read more

Another EverKept customer getting sub-par service. Price of yard waste increased, number of bags allowed decreased, cost of additional bags increased. Put a bulk item out with trash, driver snapped a pic and drove off. I walked down to ask him why he cannot pickup. He said "they will come back later with a rear-loading truck". Received a phone call from Arrowaste to find out they will come "in the next few days" if I want to pay $60. I put bulk items (larger than this) out when I had EverKept - they would always pickup and then send me a bill for $5 for bulk items. Arrowaste is a joke. Excited to switch. read more

just now So I paid $147.00 for this service, you know the last day is Nov 30th. So I put the yard waste along side of my garbage bin the evening before. The day of pickup, I noticed the yard waste bin pushed aside about 4 feet and still had not been emptied. I contacted Arrow Waste about it. I was told the driver had marked he had picked it up, nope, not true. So they said they would get it tomorrow. I asked why not today, I have more yard waste to put in the container and there is no room. She said we do it the next day. I asked how come the driver marked it down as already picked up? She said I really couldnt tell you that. I asked if they had someone out today to pick it up. No, we do it the next day after a call is made. For the amount of money you pay this company, they sure dont go out of their way to provide the best customer service. And their ladies that answer the phone to help, are not very friendly and courteous. The past owners, Everkept, were exceptional with customers, always friendly and helpful. You felt like a golden customer, well treated and they went out of their way to provide supreme service. Arrow Waste comes across as your typical garbage company. We take your money, but sometimes not your garbage. Jenison HAS to have more options. Porr service, poor customer satisfaction, and you definitely don't get what you pay for. Ive had Arrow Waste since they bought out Rosendall about 5 years ago. Now is Feb 28 2019. A couple times they forgot me but that is out of hundreds of Wednesday trash collections. rates always trickle up even when fuel goes down, but that just seems to be how business works. We have been with Arrowaste for 16 years. We recently shopped around for a company that would offer weekly recycling. Chef did but their cost for Yard Waste from April-Nov. was a whopping $132.40 as opposed to only $40 through Arrowaste. When asked Arrowaste provided us with 2 containers (96g) onr for trash and 1 for recycling for only $46/quarterly with $40/year for our yard waste. Good customer service, he knew his stuff and worked hard to retain us as customers. we will be staying with Arrowaste. read more

We had EverKept for years and then they switched us to Arrohead. So far we've not been impressed. We seen a rate increase, had misinformation about pick up days which caused us to leave our trash and recycling out on the wrong day. We had two extra small trash bags left by the trash can that we're not taken. Apparently they don't take extra bags left out? I mean l, I know it's an inconvenience but I maybe have extra bags to set out every few months. And although it's an inconvenience- I'm paying you to take my trash! By the time we realized late that night they weren't going to get the bags, we had animals get into them and trash was blown all over the neighborhood. Probably going to shop around. It's a shame- EverKept had always had really good communication and made an effort to do right by their costumers within reason. I don't except my sectional couch to be picked up off the curb, but you can at least take my trash bags. read more

I would never recommend this this company to anyone. It will take a very large magnifying glass to read all the fine print on the pages back behind the signature line but take the time to do it. Arrow seems to think they have a lifetime contract once you sign up. They have stated they right to raise their rate when and how ever much they want to, but you do not have the right to leave. My contract states in very bold writing a three year contract. In spite of that Arrow claims the contract automatically renews for another three years unless you send a certified letter cancelling on the day the first three year expires. read more
