I've been going to this store for years, meeting friends for coffee or attending sales.

As a local priest in the area, I can say that I appreciate everything that Arrowhead is offering. My bias of course is that I specifically seek out things for my profession, and the store caters more toward the layman. So, I'll focus there: The plethora of books offered by Arrowhead is astounding, and certainly worth a trip in just to see what they have. Christian-based gifts are also plentiful across the store, and I'm sure they can please anyone looking for something specific, or looking for ideas. I thought that the materials for children was a bit lacking, but I am sure I could have given that section a closer look had I needed to provide materials for Sunday School classes. I've been a customer at the Arrowhead since I was a child and came with my mom to the downtown store. Through the years there were always purchases and referrals of friends. A few years ago my first published non-fiction was carried there! As a motivational speaker, I was happy to be asked to speak at the Spring Ladies Tea in April. I enjoy the opportunity and love getting to know people-whether it be a group of 10 or 10,000. You can imagine the shock when I received a call canceling my talk. "The store has very high standards and since you're a divorced woman we can't allow you to speak." My standards are outstanding, my faith in God unwavering and my business with the Arrowhead Parable is finished. Shame on them. read more
