BEWARE THE STORE CARD OFFER!!!! with every purchase they will try to sell you on this card. yes, there are perks, but in the end it doesn't even out. they give you a month to try it, and this free trial gets you a initial 10% discount, but if you forget to cancel the free trial before the month is up then you lose all of your savings. but still, even if you will remember to cancel, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE "FREE" MAGAZINE TRIALS!!! The magazines have been a huge pain in the butt. after the free issues they automatically charge you for the subscription, and then once you find the correct number to call and cancel, they will refund your money, but then tell you that the magazine you selected has an offer to give you a certain amount of issues for just a few dollars, they give you no other options really, so i went along with it. they said that my new issues would be for a year or so and then i'd get an offer to cancel or renew. WRONG! I never got an offer, they automatically charged my account after only a few months, and the prices were absurd, $56 for a year of Sports Illustrated, but the SI website says a year subscription is only $40!! I got the number for the service that subscribed me. I called again, same scheme. They said they'd refund my money but then take out a few bucks and keep sending me the magazine, and of course I can't say no because it's all automated, it's a vicious cycle! As soon as I get my money refunded I am going to call the magazines direct and cancel the subscription. seriously, don't get caught up in the same mess I did.

When I got there I was instantly greeted by a man who I'll assume was the owner. He was incredibly nice and very helpful. He asked me if I was looking for anything specific or just browsing. I appreciate that he knows he has the kind of shop where people may just come in out of curiosity. Since I was looking for some specific cards I asked for his help. He pointed me to the appropriate boxes and told me to take all the time I needed (at the conveniently provided table and chairs). He also thoroughly explained the way they price their cards and while I don't intend to need to by cards very often I appreciated that he took the time to let me know. I can't really speak to the quality of the merchandise itself in the shop. There were boxes and boxes of cards that were all in sleeves, well organized, and clearly labelled. They have an assortment of non-card memorabilia as well like pennants and mini helmets. In the end I found the two cards I needed and was very happy. I only paid one dollar (book value of $1 each) and was very satisfied. While I was in there I got some more ideas of other people who might appreciate a card of a favorite player so I may head back to a sports card store someday. If that day happens while I'm in Binghamton, then Lj's will certainly be where I go.

My husband and I went to LJ's sports cards this afternoon to buy card storage supplies to start up his e-bay business. When we walked in the owner and two other customers were sitting in the back chatting, which is fine, but no acknowledgement from the owner. My husband and I grabbed our supplies and sat at the counter for a solid 5 minutes, while the owner walked by us, fully seeing the merchandise we were going purchase and continued to talk to his friends about how he wanted to financially "screw" (his words) with his ex wife. Well apparently he is doing that to himself because we left the store without a purchase. Too bad considering we would have been long time customers, instead we went to Centerfield Comics and Books in Endicott. The owner was friendly and helpful and even gave us a discount on our supplies. There are many other card shops in this town, don't waste your time with this one!

I am a customer, and do not employ that cashier. She was hired by JC Pennys and works directly for them. This method of passing on the employees wages to customers is crazy and must stop. So customers pay while owners get richer and hard working employees suffer. It is total bs. Employers pay them their wages due and not think customers are going to help. Our governor needs to get involved in this scam now!

This location was splendid, not only were the bathrooms very clean but the stalls were very spacey. They chose a nice color for the stall doors and walls and was nice to look at. The toilet paper was on the cheaper side but what can you really expect. I would definitely recommend this place to someone who needs to go number two. GREAT JOB JCPENNEY!!
