I filed a formal complaint and was gaslit by their manager who told me all treatment plans are different due to different training and experience. Also, before my initial appt, when I was on the phone with billing, they said I was in-network. Pretty disappointing but definitely my bad. The billing situation is unacceptable though.

I recently moved to Charlotte and had to find a new dentist which was difficult for me because I've…read morebeen a lifelong patient of my former dentist (out of state). I was set on finding a dentist that could use a laser to remove a cavity as I am terrified of novocaine and drilling. After reviewing his website and making a quick inquiry call, I was optimistic but still a bit nervous. Everything about the experiences with Dr. Payet and his staff has made me feel relaxed and comfortable which has been a huge relief. The front desk ladies are very polite and helpful, my dental assistant (Rose, I believe) was kind and knowledgeable, and Dr. Payet has been fantastic. I'm sure they could all tell how anxious I was, but everyone did a great job of putting me at ease. I had to have a follow up appointment to have my filling adjusted, but he was very patient and concerned about getting it just right. He did a great job of addressing questions and he enthusiastically explained the laser technology when I was skeptical of the relatively pain-free procedure. I'm happy to have found my new dentist and absolutely recommend him (them) to anyone looking.

Very unhappy with their service. Went in for a consultation about a year ago to see if I needed a…read morenight guard because I recently noticed I grind my teeth sometimes. He said a night guard may help so he went ahead and made my night guard for $700. A few months into wearing my night guard I noticed that my bite was really off. I switched back to wearing my old retainer and I couldn't even put it in, it hurt so bad. Obviously the night guard wasn't made correctly. I then got caught up with life and finally had a chance to recently go back in to get this problem fixed since I had a $700 night guard I used for 2 months just laying around. He then went to examine my teeth and found out that I have a rare bite that the night guard he made won't work for me. My back teeth still touch even with the night guard( He should have checked this BEFORE he made me the retainer!!! ) he then went on to say that a "biting waffer" will help with adjusting my bite back every morning. So he's telling me I wear my "wrong" retainer at night and then bite on this waffer every morning to adjust my bite back. Okay, sounds pretty ridiculous. I had talked to my dentist about this and they told me I need a full night guard. Not the kind that They made me at this office. So Dr. Payet also says that my night guard is loose and hitting at the wrong places and they need to adjust it. Okay, I'm confused as to why it's loose and hitting at the wrong places since I only wore it for 2 months. Obviously they made the night guard wrong in the first place. I was already hesitant to get all this adjusted and get my "biting waffer" but I didn't want to feel like I just threw away $700 so I opted to get it adjusted. I obviously thought it would be free of charge since I had nothing to do with the problem and I am ending up with a night guard that doesn't really do the job for my teeth. I called to ask if it's free of charge and they come back to tell me it will cost me $150. I am not spending an additional $150 for a night guard that doesn't even do the job when my dentist is telling me that this type of night guard won't work for my teeth. This office made me the wrong night guard for $700 and now is asking for an additional $150 to fix the problem they made. AND the night guard doesn't work for my teeth to begin with! Very very unhappy!

If you're worried about parking, they offer parking validation in the garage with an elevator that leads directly up to the office. The interior itself is bright with plenty of natural light coming through the windows that offer a neat view of the surrounding skyscrapers. The staff are all very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They really take the time to explain what they're seeing before providing a detailed treatment plan with transparent and reasonable pricing. I have not felt any pressure to accept treatment without due diligence.
