It didn't have a price on it, so we went inside to ask for assistance. When we walked in, there was no one to be found. Neither employees or customers. We politely said "hello." Someone in a hidden corner of the store replied "what do you need?" We walked over to the corner of the store. Two elderly woman were there and looked at us as if we were interrupting their gossip-session. I asked the woman behind the counter how much the sweater was. She looked up in an extremely annoyed manner and stated "I don't know, I will have to look it up." This woman's tone and look were as if we were asking her to donate a kidney. I was immediately turned-off. I didn't care if the sweater was free, I wasn't going to do business with a place that treated their would-be customers like some kind of an annoyance. I told the grumpy woman "no thanks" and my girlfriend and I left. We both couldn't believe how poorly this place treated their customers. Especially when this place was deserted and could probably use all the business they can get. With so many retail businesses in the South Lake Tahoe, do yourself a favor and go to an establishment that will welcome you and your hard-earned money.

We were denied the locals discount because apparently we weren't local enough despite the fact that we too live on the lake. All sales are final which should make you think twice before making a purchase. My wife got absolutely no recommendations or advice for proper boot maintenance and when we got home we noticed that the leather was extremely dry. You have to wonder if the reason for the no return policy is that they are aware of the poor condition of some of their boots. With plenty of options offering good service in the surrounding area we won't be coming back anytime soon.

The business was open both when I dropped my shoes off and I picked them up. 3. He knows his shoes, explained how they got in that level of disrepair, and did a great job fixing them and polishing them up for my next formal affair. 4. I felt that what I paid was a good value for the now almost new shoes that I'm sure will last at least a few more years. My only surprise was how big this place is in terms of what else he sells.
