I took some pottery classes here and to say I was unimpressed is an understatement. First of all, they're obsessed with masks, which is annoying on multiple levels. But whatever. I probably wouldn't have gone if I'd known, but you pay in advance. And they're a private business so of course they are entitled to their own rules and I accept that. But they have a lot of them, lol. The teacher was nice enough and knew what she was doing well enough, but it was obvious that no one in this place actually wanted the job. I can't blame them. The studio is dumpy and depressing and the owner has put pieces of paper printed with all kinds of rules all over the damn place, including telling you how to use a toilet and paper towels. Ridiculous. It's not a very welcoming or inviting atmosphere. Again, I wish I had gone in prior to paying. The old lady who works there is just a miserable old bitty and I didn't even want to be in the same space with her sour attitude and dour demeanor. Again, I think this rolls from the top down. Making the pottery was fun but the instructor is basically like just letting you do what you want. But when you're new, you don't know what you want! If you need help, you just have to wait to get her attention and ask a million questions because nothing is offered. The selection and quality of glazes is poor. The wait between when you create your piece and when you get it back is excessive. Then you do it all over again after you come back to glaze (they make you take them with you?!) - with literally zero help or instruction. Good luck with what happens then. Months later, you'll have your pieces back. They do a shitty job organizing everything from top to bottom. It was overall just a waste of money. It was conveniently located but I wish I had paid attention to the bad reviews and gone elsewhere. I just really didn't enjoy the experience much. I would never go back in there. Maybe it's fun if you just want to paint something ugly with your kids on a snow day, but this isn't the only place in Bucks to make pottery. I'm confident it is the worst, though. Two stars because I learned some very basic skills. Enough to know to go elsewhere next time! read more

My adult daughters and I came in on a Sunday. We love locally and thought it would be nice mother daughter project. When we walked in one person was waiting by the register and there were some mothers and children painting. The woman waiting said she wasn't sure where anyone was. We stood there for about 10 minutes until staff came out. The woman in front of us was picking up and the staff couldn't find it. I politely asked if we could be set up to paint while she continued to look. She told me that they didn't seat after a certain time - my response was that we had been there all this time, the website had different information then she was telling us and then ignored us. She didn't say a word and just went into the back. When she came out she took a phone call and continued to ignore us. We left & will not go back. read more

I'm surprised to see the previous review because my sister and I visited with our children recently and we all had a FANTASTIC time! The owner was exceptionally nice to our children as were her employees, they received help when needed and were taught various simple techniques to help them make their pieces look beautiful. My 9 year old son made an Xbox "trinket" box and his finished product looks great and my 7 year old niece made a mermaid figurine which also came out adorable. My sister and I, both fairly crafty, found a plate that we thought was pretty and the owner walked us through the process step by step. Our plates came out BEAUTIFUL and look very professionally done. I would highly recommend Paint N' Pottery and cannot wait to go back again next time I visit PA. read more

With two adults, two teens, and a kindergartener, this was the perfect sort of activity for our group. There are a ton of different options for knick-knacks, serving vessels, and other ceramic options, as well as glass mosaic work. While the owner originally came off a little on the cool and quiet side, my young son eventually pulled her out of her shell. Once she warmed up to our group, she was incredibly helpful with picking out paints and demonstrating techniques. The only downside to PNP is that it can be rather expensive; however, the overall experience was worth the money spent! read more

This place was a lot of fun and my family and I would often take trips here to expand our creativity. Unfortunately, a new owner has recently taken over and the prices are absolutely ridiculous! They raised the prices on everything. The fee for using their facility jumped from around $3 to $7.50 for each person in your party. A family of 4 (us) did a set of glass coasters (2) and two glass plates. Total with everything came out to just under $120! Before, our total for the same was closer to $70. It's a shame because we really loved this place. Sadly, I don't think we will be coming back anytime soon unless the new owner lowers the prices a bit. read more

This was a great place to go and have a fun day creating art. We did mosaics and Kathy showed us how to use all the tools to carefully cut the materials in the shapes & sizes we wanted. They played great music and we brought snacks and drinks which made it a fun girls day out. I would highly recommend this place !!! read more

Used this place to host a kids birthday party. The owner was incredibly rude to several of the parents. She yelled at one parent and snapped at several children in a VERY nasty tone. Her two helpers were very nice but I would never consider hosting another party there again. Absolutely no way to run a business if you expect any repeat customers. I found the place an enjoyable experience. My daughters painted pots and my wife did beading. I caught up on my reading. At all times we found the employees helpful and cheerful, willing to take time with the customers. I recommend it for anybody looking for this sort of activity. read more

My Famliy loves it at Pain N' Pottery. They have a very helpful staff, huge selection, and it's just an all around good time. Why spend more to go to the movies when you can create artwork and memories that will last forever? We usually try to go twice a month, and there is always something new to do there. read more

I have been to Paint N' Pottery a couple of times recently and was very disappointed by the experience. The studio itself was nice, but the employee in charge was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. She deliberately made nasty and unnecessary comments to me despite my doing nothing to offend her except, apparently, patronize the shop. She must have disliked me personally as she wasn't nearly as unbearable to the other customers. She wasn't, however, particularly helpful to them either, but at least they were spared the full spectrum of her bitter and spiteful attitude. On both visits I was cordial and friendly to her but every response she made was dripping in disdain. She wouldn't even allow the people I went with to sit where we wanted despite there being several tables available. Any request for paint or brushes was met with a death glare and a snarky comment. All I did was request the supplies I paid for, yet she could not manage to do her job without acting as though I asked her for a clay version of the Fountain of Youth. I certainly wouldn't recommend visiting the shop unless you enjoy painting while being belittled by a miserable woman on a power trip. read more
