Also know as Neumann Leathers, this large complex of buildings is a hub for artists, musicians, and other creatives. Project Studios is an art services and co-working company for the creative field. We have grown to become the largest tenant in Neumann Leathers and the largest company of its kind in the area, utilizing 40,000 sq. ft. of repurposed former factory space. We provide creative services, studio spaces, and memberships. Our main studios are housed in the R. Neumann and Co. factory complex in Hoboken, New Jersey. Project Studios also has a metal shop and additional studios in the Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood of Jersey City. The company also has had exhibition space in New York City and maintains a storefront gallery in rural Indiana called PROTO ZERO. Project Studios now offers not only private and semi-private studios, but also 6000 sq. ft. of studio amenities. This rich portfolio of resources is provided in the form of well-equipped shops for ceramics, photography, warm-glass, and woodworking. A walk-in spray booth accompanies our wood shop. We provide a wide array of shared tools such as kilns, welding machines, photography strobes, and air-compressors. These would represent a significant cost to an individual artist. All of our members may use any shared shop free of charge.

For $6, I got to see such a great show on a great stage, support local Jersey City artists and performers and also just hob knob it with some local artists and great peops from the community. Now, if you are expecting a theater like setting (i.e. Broadway or NJ PAC) that is not the venue. They have a great stage with audio and lighting with 3 rows of stadium style seating. It's professional, intimate, and super underground and makes me happy that a place like this exists in my community, let alone a few streets away. I'll definitely be checking out a ton more live performances now that I know that this gem is definitely authentic, professional, unique and just straight cool.

It was…read moreamazing even though I couldn't afford any art piece in this gallery, the minimum worth was $200,000 and my friend's favorite was 17 millions. The reason the price was high because every single element of his Art makes people excited. Alexander Calder is the creator of the mobile, inspired by Piet Mondrian and Joan Miro. And the name 'mobile' given by Marcel Duchamp, very famous for the 'Fountain'. I was also very excited to see many art piece of Alexander Calder at once and never visited to buy and negotiate the price of the Art. My first time experience. This was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with a service business…read more We hired Heba to mount a paper painting onto canvas and frame it. Unfortunately, she missed our deadline three separate times, delivered a frame that was not what we agreed on, and the painting itself has already started peeling away from the canvas after only two months (see photo). 1. Repeatedly missed deadlines When we first met on April 9, Heba quoted a one-week turnaround. Ten days later, she said she needed another week. We agreed. Another week passed, and she again requested more time. We agreed a second time. By early May, we had a firm deadline because the painting was needed for an event. She finally completed the job the day before that deadline--nearly a month after we originally dropped it off. 2. Delivered a completely different frame I was very specific about the frame I wanted. I provided reference photos and videos, and Heba assured me it would not be a problem. After delaying the project multiple times, she called the day before delivery and informed me she could not make the frame we had agreed upon. Instead, she told me she could only use frames she already had in stock, or she would simply return the painting unframed. At that point, we had no realistic choice because we needed the artwork for our event the next day. Rather than acknowledging the situation, she became defensive and insisted the substitute frame was "extremely high quality" and that I was getting a bargain--even though it was not what we had agreed on. To make matters worse, on the delivery day she initially framed it in white instead of the blonde wood finish we had selected, causing yet another delay. 3. Poor workmanship Only two months later, the painting has started peeling away from the canvas at multiple corners. This is not normal for professionally mounted artwork. We deliberately waited before writing this review because we understand how challenging it can be to run a small business. However, once the artwork began failing after just two months, we felt other customers should know about our experience. For comparison, a friend owns the exact same artwork mounted in the exact same style I originally requested--the style Heba told me was "nearly impossible." That piece has been hanging for over a year and remains in perfect condition. If you're framing something sentimental or valuable, I strongly recommend using a dedicated professional framing shop. Based on our experience, the work was significantly delayed, the agreed-upon design was not delivered, and the finished product failed after only two months.
