3.5 and will update and increase rating if future visits are better. The pro's are that it is a fun, relatively welcoming, and friendly bar on a Friday night of Karaoke. The male bartender was certainly attentive and welcoming. We got some awkward glares but we will assume it was just because we were not part of the neighborhood bar regulars. The majority of the patrons were welcoming. Con's is their censorship on certain artists and genre's in their jukebox. That was very off putting. There are some songs I rather not hear but in their attempt to censor things like vulgarity, by default, it blocked other well known artists that are not remotely as crass as others. Take note there are other reviews addressing this factor and the uncomfortable vibe this projects.

This is a great bar. The service is good, the decor is quirky, and the music is perfect. It attracts a fun, friendly crowd, and they have a good variety of beers on tap. While I was there, they were generous enough to comp me a couple of pumpkin beers because they said they were very excited for the winter lagers they had ordered! Thoughtful, and fun. Check it out.

Really!! This jukebox sucks! There's some type of block on any music with soul

I went a couple weekends ago, after walking the Bayonne Bridge from Staten Island. Attempting to try something new we chose this bar. As soon as we entered, we could see it was a really spacious...open & airy. Full/well-stocked bar several of my favorite bottles I spotted right away. .The female bartender was super, super kind & I really liked her energy good vibes & she was very personable. I was also very tickled to see that they have my favorite jukebox (TouchTunes). So of course because I have the app on my phone I instantly began playing music. My usual Music choices... Phil Collins, Garth Brooks and then attempted to play a Prince song. And that's when the frustration begin. After searching and attempting to play a several different artists I realized that this jukebox had a block on it that prevented me from playing what seemed like any artist that could be considered soul music or soulful. It was at that moment that my family realized I was annoyed & over this place. So we finished our drinks, said our goodbyes to the bartender & fellow drinkers and exited. The crowd was mixed and the bar seemed like it was a really cool place, decorated with skateboards. But to see so many great artists blocked on the jukebox, kinda made me believe that maybe this bar didn't want me and my family there. I strongly doubt that I'll ever return and if I do it would be just to say hi to that bartender (maybe her name was Katherine... she had great tattoos) I gave 3 stars because of the bartender & good selection of booze... but I would give 5 thumbs down because of lacking music options. I mean hey... it's a bar in Bayonne New Jersey not the piano bar in the Russian tea room or Ritz-Carlton And even there I should be allowed to hear PRINCE every now and then

Every performance had our guests completely engaged, and by the second song the entire wedding was on the dance floor. At one point we had the biggest love train I have ever seen. It felt like every single person joined in, and the energy in the room was electric. We received endless compliments all night and even after the wedding about how amazing the band was. They truly made the night unforgettable. The quality of service was top notch from start to finish. They were organized, easy to work with, and made sure every detail was perfect. Their responsiveness before the wedding made planning simple and stress free, and their professionalism showed in every interaction and performance. In terms of value, they exceeded every expectation, our guests kept saying it felt like being at a live concert. And their flexibility stood out too, they read the crowd perfectly and adjusted seamlessly to keep the party going strong all night. We could not be happier with our decision. The band brought so much life, joy, and energy to our wedding. If you want a full dance floor and memories your guests will talk about for years, this is the band to hire.

Learning is endless when they have little stands to tell you what you are seeing. The greenery is so smooth and beautiful flowers everywhere I enjoyed the walking around through the Chinese Scholar's Garden to see the beautiful bamboo trees and the amazing cottages it took my breath away like I was transformed into China. Be careful of the trails because they are uneven but that is what makes it so beautiful how natural everything is. They have so many shows and eating areas to go to the museums are so fun and interactive. I have to go back again it was so much to see....especially when they have concerts on the lawn....so wonderful to spend a summer afternoon with the kids then go back for the adult good times to be had

No but it is a free entrance. I came here on a Monday and it was pretty quiet with little crowds. They had a children's museum and several veterans buildings. Most of them were closed due to their hours being only on weekends. Our main goal was to visit the Chinese temple. There aren't visible signs so we got lost for almost 20 minutes, hiking through unnecessary dirt. Once found, it was unfortunately closed! It was such a bummer. There is one food place in the entire garden but I felt it was pricey and opted to eat in the city. Would I return? Probably not but i can see if someone wants to relax at a park to read a book and free of the NYC noise then this is your park! Best to wear sneakers here, you will WALK! They did have beautiful flowers that I spotted throughout.

I saw a billboard highway ad for Americano while driving home from work and didn't realize it was nearby, so decided to give it a try. Street parking was available. I'll preface this by saying I came on a weekday around 5 PM after work, so it wasn't particularly busy when I entered there were like 2 people dining inside tops. There didn't seem to be a dedicated host or hostess at the entrance, but a staff member eventually led me to the bar area and took my order. They didn't seem too enthusiastic but maybe it was a long day, who knows.. I ordered a salad, seafood, alcoholic drink, and dessert; I was a little surprised that the salmon didn't come with any sides. When I asked, I was told that sides had to be ordered separately. So I had to wait for my mashed potatoes to come in and by then my seafood had cooled off. That's fine, but I would've appreciated a heads-up when ordering rather than finding out once the entree arrived. The ambiance is very nice. I really liked the classic movie-star decor, the music fit the setting well, and I appreciated that the staff were appropriately dressed for the atmosphere. I'm a James Bond fan so it was nice seeing Sean Connery and Daniel Craig up on the wall. Those details gave the restaurant a polished feel for sure. The pricing, however, felt high for what you get, particularly for Bayonne... it was closer to what I'd expect to pay in Manhattan. I was also surprised by the automatic 20% gratuity that caught me blindsided. On top of that, the receipt still gives you the option to leave an "additional tip," which could easily lead someone who doesn't notice the automatic gratuity to tip twice. So I actually tipped twice unknowingly lol. I think the 20% charge should be made very clear to guests when the check is presented.. Overall, I would still recommend Americano, but I'd caution others to expect a relatively expensive dining experience for what it's worth. One final small detail.. I would've appreciated a simple "thank you" or "goodbye" on the way out. The staff seemed preoccupied, so I didn't make much of it, but at around $150 per person (see my receipt) you'd naturally expect the service to match the premium pricing. I'm also comparing this to local premium fine dining areas in the NJ area like Felina Restaurant, The Feathered Fox, The Maddy Rose, 87 Sussex, Sofia's Fine Italian Cuisine, etc, so as you can see there's a lot of competition that offers similar value, and I'd say what separates each are vibes and customer service since that's what you're paying extra for. It's the little details that count. Again, it's got great atmosphere, great potential, and it's a promising restaurant, but the service and value could be a little more polished for the price point. Very Chill Vibes…read more The coupe is one of the only places in Staten Island you can go to get real cocktails after hours. They have great mixologist that actually take pride in their work. I got a Sazerac with cognac, I usually get that but this time they didn't have Pierre Ferran for they only had Ansac. I personally don't care for Ansac so I believe it totally changed the taste of the drink. The bartender could tell. I didn't like it and he asked me about four times " Are you sure I change it? It doesn't matter." I'm like if you're gonna ask me that many times then let's change it. So I got a sidecar and that was fire.
