I purchased some gifts for friends while there and appreciated how many local vendors had a spotlight in this small biz. Collaboration=Love and Success. Overall, this shop is a great pit stop in Baldwin to shop until the cows come home for gifts for your Darling Nikki, a Lady Cab Driver, or The Most Beautiful Girl in the World. I've been watching a pair of 1951 Reglor Lamps advertised in Facebook Marketplace, showing a photo of them in the front window. I happened to be meeting a friend for lunch in Hudson so I made sure to bring $400 cash and to stop in after our meal. 1. Apparently, the lamps are no longer in the store. But the 2 staff running the shop couldn't tell me anything about them. Where are they? Why are they still listed in Facebook? 2. The worst part of the interaction was I got the "fake polite" treatment. Friendly but not really friendly and more passive aggressive, if you know what I mean. I'm used to that treatment in Minnesota. It seems to be part of our cultural DNA. But I'm surprised to encounter it in Wisconsin. 3. The staff running the shop weren't able to access the store listing on Facebook. Why? 4. When I got home, I sent a direct message to the store on Facebook from their listing to ask about the lamps. Are they gone? Why is there still an active listing? 5. It's been 8 days. The listing is still up. No one has answered my direct message on Facebook. All of this stuff is ridiculous. Everyone knows that is takes 30 seconds to respond to a message on Facebook. All of these negative vibes could have been avoided if someone simply responded to me, apologized, promised to do better next time, and to request that I please visit again. I'd still be a customer. As it is now, I'll never walk through the front door again. So...I'm feeling pretty negative about Abigail Page. I guess they're okay if you wander in off the street, buy something off a shelf, and walk out with your item. But if you see something on-line, buyer beware. Told us about the deals she had going on and then let us alone to browse the rather large store. After a bit, she asked if she could help with outfit selections, etc. Then, she offered us a glass of wine for while we shopped! We had such a GREAT time browsing, mixing/matching clothing for our concert outfits. My sister has special needs, and I feel Cheryl picked up on that pretty quickly and was very sweet about how she dealt with her and helped her out. She found her an amazing outfit that really complemented her figure and age. All in all, we had such a fabulous experience and bought A LOT of cute clothes AND accessories!! The shop reminds me a lot of Magnolia in Texas but without all the overendulgance. The staff is super friendly and fun and willing to jump in to help you. My only criticism is their online shopping. Usually carries lots of cottage-y type furnishings and whatnot, but as of today, November 12, unless you want Christmas decorations, you might want to give this a pass until the new year. Don't get me wrong; they're very nice decorations and very affordable, ranging from embroidered tea towels to garland to crystal ornaments and larger decor, but that's pretty much ALL that was there today. Such an adorable boutique with a very kind and welcoming owner named Shaela. She was very personable and so friendly. She chatted with us and didn't make you feel like "just another customer." The amount of goodies here are fantastic. They offer a great amount of hats, jewelry, self care items, cards, kids, etc. Also, the homemade lotions are so great. I will definitely be back to visit this gem.
