Great experience! First time attending and it was corporate team building event. Our artist / quarterback was fantastic helping our crew with making our first Picasso. Space was ample for 16 people. We had a fantastic time!!

I had a lot of fun here! This place is BYO drinks and food, and food-wise I saw people bring anything from cheese and crackers to a crock pot of pulled pork for sandwiches. It's best to get there 15-20 minutes early to get your spot, set up your food, and pour yourself a drink. You don't have to worry about anything else, because the ladies working there have each spot set up with a plate of paint, 3-5 brushes, and a canvas with the design pre-outlined. Once the class begins, it's basically a coloring book with paint! I also really liked that they had examples all around the room, as well as the TV monitors, so there was really no bad seat in the house. The classes are supposed to take 2-3 hours, but I was there for the lotus which took us 4 hours! It was nice that they were so patient with us and stayed late to make sure everyone was happy with their paintings.

My second picture and I'm hooked. I've been there four times and soon will be doing my fifth picture. Always a fun time

It was easy to choose a time for painting --- they have the option to reserve a private party if you have at least 6 people, but we opted to go during their open hours on a Sunday afternoon. They had a table set aside for us with our basic supplies ready and waiting when we arrived, and several other tables set up with customers painting various canvases. They have plenty of design options if you want to choose one of their preselected designs, or for $5 more you can send them a picture of the design you'd prefer and they'll make you an appropriate stencil. I chose to make my own wooden sign and was quite happy with it. We were helped by Katie, a young artist who was so incredibly supportive, encouraging, and easy to talk to. She helped guide us through the process of choosing a paint/stain for the background, learning appropriate technique for the stencil, and choosing a color scheme. She checked in periodically to make sure we felt well-supported, offered words of encouragement, and jumped in to help whenever requested. At the end of the an enjoyable afternoon, I had a sign I could be proud of and that I actually wanted to hang up (unlike the less fortunate results of prior canvas paint nights) --- the use of stencils and guidance made it easy to create great results, even if you're not particularly creative/artistic. We're planning to take our moms for a Mother-Daughter paint day for Mother's Day and we're definitely looking forward to it!

I've been hoping to nurture my creative side and doing it while drinking might help get my juices flowing. Their website boasts a whole array of paintings, there are pretty landscapes, rustic designs and some fun and festive ones, priced around $25-45 each depending on the length and difficulties. I saw a few more challenging ones that I'm very interested to satisfy my type-A personality. There's also one that you can install some lights to shine through the canvas. I'm definitely going to sign up for that. Since it's a BYOB, we went to buy two bottle of wines, dressed up in our costumes and headed out to check this out. It was located in an unassuming strip mall on Nazareth Pike. We were met with very pleasant staff who dressed as zombies and zombie hunter while assuring us that they usually look more normal, ha! The manager painted himself as Vincent Van Gogh' self portrait, I thought to myself that we were in for a creative night. The painting itself was a gloomy zombie walk in a grave yard. It lends itself to some fun shadow work. The host taught us how to paint it step by step with funny anecdotes and games in between while we refill our wine glass every now and then. Two hours flew by and everyone finished their paintings on time. I think we all left satisfied. My other friends later saw my handiwork and commented on it and I think we'll come back to try other ones. What a fun hobby to pick up!
