Outside of the class, the storefront is so nice and features beautiful woodwork, and custom tumblers, signs and local art/goods. This is such an intentionally designed spot and I would love to do another workshop here!

When they open the physical space back up, you should quickly reserve a workshop to paint a wood sign. I had my bestie join me on my birthday and had such a great experience, wonderful instructors, quality materials, friendly staff and a beautiful store to craft in. Loved my finished product. I recently saw that they were offering a 1 hour online workshop with a guest speaker/ coach. The topic was about rest not being a luxury. With everything going on today, it was timely and on point. The coach dropped some gems during the first half, we were then able to ask questions via chat. After that, we started painting our signs with live follow the leader step by step instructions. The sign came in a nicely prepared box wrapped in lovely paper and was pre-stained. Also included were pots of paints of your chosen colors, a stencil transfer, paint brush, wooden flowers, small sponges for dabbing the paint on, and two recipes (face mask and a cocktail). The class was well moderated. The owner was streaming live from her home workshop with a really cool backdrop. This was well put together!!! My end product was amazing! I first discovered this place because my son goes to the Upton Boxing Center less than a mile away. I was invited to come by one of my friends. Her Sister Megan Lewis had her artwork featured for a month. Upon arrival the Customer Service was amazing. They had snacks and stuff. I got a chance to meet the artist and view the artwork. One of the hosts encouraged me to go upstairs where they were making plates in honor of Sibby Grant. So I received a quick history lesson while I was there. Libby Grant wrote a letter to her slave owner Confederate POW John Hanson Thomas. They had the actual letter which was really impressive considering she was a slave and she could really write. So we made plates, which was going on a display at the Walters Art Museum Gallery. They also have classes daily at night from 5-8. I am so excited about this hidden gem. They will see be back really soon.

Anyway, I've never sat at a pottery wheel before but thanks to the incredible instruction facilitated by the small class size and the relaxed atmosphere I had a blast. And, bonus, my creations turned out pretty great, too! We'll see how they turn out after the firing and glazes. I had so much fun and was so encouraged by the experience I'm considering a membership to explore the hobby further. At the least I'll be taking more classes.
