We got the spinach salad to share, and they were able to put the goat cheese on the side for us, since it usually comes on the salad. Not so much arte. Not so much sabore. If you want what this place is trying to do Go to Vega 10 in Triana which is a five star place. But if you are in the Almeda Hercules and don't want to travel, Arte y Sabor won't kill you. * * * Arte y Sabor is a vegan-vegetarian friendly traditional Spanish restaurant with an innovative cook. In Seville, vegan-vegetarian friendly means 20% of the menu is vegan-vegetarian friendly. My non-dairy non-meat-eating wife cried bitter tears about this. But she has cried bitter tears about every vegan-vegetarian place that tops off at the 20 percent mark. Vega 10 left her with a wonderful 20 percent. This place left her with a "I can take it or leave it" 20 percent. * * * The Almeda Hercules looks like a fascinating location for a Yelper. It is a big open plaza that is lined with restaurants on all sides - not unlike the broad restaurant streets in Barcelona. The plaza is so big there are playgrounds and other recreational facilities in the middle. It is not the prettiest plaza or park in Seville, a city justly known for drop dead gorgeous parks and plazas. But for restaurant density you can't beat it. * * * Arte y Sabor has at least one utterly amazing dish on the menu. Their albondigas made with shrimp and squid. Don't leave home without them. An original and absolutely fantastic dish. I have seen parallel dishes in Singapore made with teeny tiny meatballs that were equally intoxicating. But these are larger Spanish style meatballs. Bigger is better if shrimp and squid are the stars of the show. * * * The thrills dropped off quickly. Olives were out of the can including some black olives in my wife's soup. We had salmorejo in both vegan and carnivore versions. Unimpressive either way. My wife's salmon entree was meh. (There was nothing on the vegan vegetarian side that looked interesting. She was not rewarded by defecting to salmon.) Desserts were "that's nice dear". * * * Arte y Sabore was packed the afternoon we ate there. They are so successful they have opened up a second branch nearby. My suspicion is that management is trying to cash in on its success and cut some corners to improve profit margins. BUT To be fair - when the kitchen hits, it hits big. So spectacular stuff can be had here. Roll your dice and take your chances. You too could be a winner. read more

Tasty, healthy food in Seville. We came for lunch and had some delicious gazpacho to start.

Very unremarkable spot that came recommended by our Airbnb host. The duck pate was good (though that's hard to mess up) and the gazpacho was refreshing. But I didn't care for the meatballs or their tuna dish - it was caked in seeds and sauce and quite over cooked. The best thing about this spot is the outdoor seating in the park / plaza, and I could see locals just lounging around and chatting here over a casual dinner. read more

Food was excellent, especially for the price. The warm spinach salad with goat cheese was excellent. Had croquettes, asparagus wrapped in Parma ham and the beef skewers with French fries. Left totally satisfied. We came back a second night. I had to have the spinach salad again, it was so good. We also tried Iberico pork with pancetta and potatoes and the Spanish blood sausage with eggs. Both delicious. Then, since we still had a little room, we had the Moroccan skewers with French fries. I was welcomed by a polite and friendly waitress, as they were just opening at 1 pm. Got the "Carpaccio de ternera" (veal carpaccio) which was properly presented. Its taste was as I expected minus the lemon juice for marinating purposes, but wasn't a big deal. To follow up got a Pollo Villeroy (chicken Villeroy) which was juicy and tasty with the béchamel cream and breadcrumbs leaving a pleasant aftertaste. All washed down with a small Cruzcampo beer bottle. Arte y Sabor is a nice cosy place facing the Hype-Alameda de Hercules Square and it worth a visit if you're in the area. Recommended. read more

I wish they would have told us it was a mix because we had a vegetarian with us. They were average. Iberico ham was a little thicker. It was average. Goat cheese in a filo dough was good. Very nice menu with a huge variety of options even for those who are looking for more traditional meat or fish plates. I also got the cheeks with potatoes and didn't really like that because I've never had cheeks before and it kind of reminded me of like liver or lamb. Aside from the obviously great name, the words 'vegetarian & vegan friendly' caught my eye at this restaurant. Such a thing is unheard of here, or if attempted, lacking depth. I got to choose from a few solid salad options (w/o the cheese where included), the other person I was with had sesame coated tuna, they started with olives, & brought a good glass of wine. The drawback noted with this first visit was the location on the busy tourist dining row that, while lively, can be missing vibe - the staff seemed to be mostly annoyed. Wow, what a great find! As you've probably figured out by now, eating dinner in Sevilla before 8pm is hard to do. We set out to find a spot around 7:30pm and the options were slim. We found this (with the help of Yelp!) with good reviews and it was open and serving food! This place is located in a row of restaurants bordering the Alameda de Hercules. Right now, (December) there is also a great little Christmas market set up there along with ice skating, shopping, and musical light show after dark (at least while we were there). This place is "vegetarian and vegan friendly" but I would add omnivore friendly too as there were many dishes which included meat on the menu. The menu was also available in English and German as well as Spanish (although some translation issues made a few things hard to understand). The place is quite reasonably priced and many dishes can come in one of three sizes: tapas, medium, and full meal. Between the three of us we tried several tapa-sized dishes: Andalusian gazpacho, tabouleh, warm spinach salad, tuna tataki, falafel, chicken skewers, asparagus roles, and a torta de 3 chocolates. Literally everything was fantastic. The asparagus wrapped in ham was well seasoned and crispy, not greasy. The chicken was tender and marinated in a delicious sauce. The gazpacho was flavorful and fresh tasting. Even the spinach salad seemed to have something special and unique. We were all very impressed with the food and the value. The service was very nice and attentive, all in all this was a great find and I look forward to coming back! read more

Went at 10:30pm on a Sunday night with one vegetarian and three omnivores for very late dinner. Everyone found something delicious on the menu. Arte y Sabor delivered last night when my parents were in Sevilla - the chicken cous cous was outstanding; the langostinos al ajillo were as delectable as always; and the spinach salad was the perfect start to our meal. One tip - we've eaten at A&S a few times, and 99% of the time, the waiter forgets at least one thing we ordered. Last night, after delivering one tapa, and the shrimp, the waiter looked at us and said "do you want dessert?" When I said "no, we'd like the couscous we ordered! The best meal that we ate in Seville! My husband had the pork cheeks and kept saying how good it was. I had the couscous which was delicious and the tapas starter of tempura was to die for. From the outside this looks like a typical restaurant with lots of tables but inside is bright and modern with paintings on the wall and colorful ethnic pottery dishes. The waiters were efficient and attentive and the price was so reasonable. It was our last night in Seville and we were sorry that we hadn't discovered this place sooner. Finally! We've been in Spain for nearly 2 weeks and I finally found what I was looking for when it comes to Tapas. The food here is great and the staff were wonderful. The falafel (not very Spanish) was delicious as well as the baked goat cheese and bacon wrapped asparagus. Prices were more than reasonable with a menu that allows you to select 3 sizes for most dishes. We ordered 7 dishes in a variety of sizes, a brownie for desert, a jug of Sangria and a few beers for €63. Can't say enough about how much I loved this place! read more
