    Octopus with potatoes

Loved this meal! Burrata was a must have. We also loved the octopus, beef tenderloin and pork. Tuna tartare was also great!

This review is for the bar next to the restaraunt (you def need a reservation if you would like to have a sit-down dinner at the retaurant.) I went 15 minutes after they opened, and the bar was already at half capacity. They have single seats at the bar, so definitely a good place for solo dining. This place is slightly more upscale (especially when foie gras is on a tapas menu), and it is beautifully decorated. Behind the bar, the shelves are filled with books and alcohol bottles. Service was superb, as the waiters provided recommendations and refilled drinks with gusto. Great ambiance to relax and eat and enjoy the food. Food is plated nicely and served promptly. Portion size: I scoped out photos on Yelp and had a couple dishes I wanted to try. My waiter told me to cut down to 2 tapas. Good rule of thumb: 2-3 dishes per person. Taste: Everything was a bit too salty. Other than the sodium overload (everything that I ordered was very heavy, so maybe that was the underlying cause), the food was SOO good. Huevos rotos farm-fresh eggs served with foie gras on potatoes: BIGGER THAN IT LOOKS in photos. I left half the potatoes uneaten, otherwise I would have been to full to eat anything else. The egg was cooked perfectly; sliced it through like butter, and it leaked on everything...ooo yaaaa. The foie gras was the best ever. The taste wasn't overpowering, and the texture was so smooth. Just perfect. Again, it was a little salty for me, but still delicious. There was a sweet honey(?) outline along the edges that balanced the salt slightly! The potatoes were necessary to absorb some of that flavor pairing. The waiter's favorite dish. Octopus with silky mashed potatoes, a touch of truffle oil, and egg yolk: The octopus was cooked to perfection. Oh my goodness, it was the star of the show, and it carried everything else. If not done right, octopus is too chewy, but these guys have mastered the octopus. The truffle oil was definitely more than a light touch, but I didn't mind it. The egg yolk made everything better, duh. Again, just a little too salty for me. The potatoes were also very silky, as advertised. IF I HAD THE APPETITE TO FIT MORE FOOD IN (on my original list, then i saw other patrons order these and wished I had multiple stomachs): Burrata: I really wanted this but was told it was too much for me. (He was right.) The elderly couple next to me ordered it, and it was plated so nicely. Let it be known that at first, they were animatedly talking with each other, and once the food came, there was only silence as they ate the salad. Let it also be known that my eyes must have burned holes in the burrata as they ate from how much I stared at it. Salmon carpaccio: The waiter recommended this as the most popular dish to the couple on the other side of me. It looked bomb, so colorful. The guy couldn't stop raving about it as he ate, so my eyes kept looking between the burrata and then the salmon. Tldr; I enjoyed the ambiance, service, and food immensely. Food was a tad bit too salty for me, but it was delicious. I had food envy the entire meal even though what I ate was delicious, so I have to come back. So you should come.

This was our favorite restaurant on our trip. Everything we tried was incredible, my only regret was not being able to try the entire menu. I recommend making reservations ahead of time, but they do have a bar area next to the main restaurant where you can order off the same menu, but even this area had a long wait by the time we were leaving. Truly an incredible restaurant.

Good very average! Either no salt and tasteless or so salty that you can't eat it. Not impressed at all!

We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We also ordered their sangria and tinto de verano. Every dish we ordered was AMAZING - tasty flavorful well seasoned melt in your mouth meat bursting with flavors. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. I am certain I am going to crave their tapas once I am back home. Highly highly recommend this place when in Seville.

Tables perhaps a bit close together, not terribly comfortable. Loud, busy. As far as the service, it was our impression that our waiter was the only person serving the 30 or so tables in their dining room. Suffice it to say the service was not fast and not good. Inexplicably, every time we ordered a Coke we were asked if we wanted a Coke Zero. If I wanted a Coke Zero I would have said the words Coke Zero. Even when I asked for another Coke, he again asked "Coke Zero?" It took next to forever to get the check, and forever to get a cappuccino. At one point I took it upon myself to point the waiter to a table behind us that had been desperately attempting to get his attention. This was all not good. As to the food. First, our fault for not knowing what tataki meant. We did not expect to receive salmon that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. So that one is on us, although we also think the meal came tepid at best. The lamb on couscous was dry and tough. The pork cheek stew was actually pretty good if a bit gluey. The calamari was good. The sushi as they called it was average. What they called the tiramisu was more like a pudding with some liqueur and chocolate on the top, and a little bit of breadish stuff in the bottom. Not my idea of tiramisu, and probably not yours either. So we could not get too excited about these various dishes. But what was particularly frustrating and bizarre was that two people sitting across from us ordered food that looked absolutely delicious. So we got to sit there wondering why we didn't order what they ordered. They ordered a large beef dish with potatoes which is on the menu, and we think they ordered a large octopus meal although we are not sure. Everything they had looked better than anything we had. So it may be that we somehow just picked the wrong items. So it was a strangely frustrating meal. This place has good reviews and we expected good tasting food. Unfortunately it did not work out that way, and the ambience and service were negative contributing factors. I can't entirely write this place off, only because the food other diners received actually looked very good. But I don't think I would go there again.

I loved that I was only one person and did not get an eye roll for having to be seated at a table for 4 especially since it was so busy. My afternoon server, I forgot his name but he had blondish hair and slim, was just the nicest server you could hope for. The food was beyond amazing!! If you go make sure you get the bread (1€) it is a large roll that does not look much at first but was absolutely delicious. I was lucky enough though to get it hot out of the oven which was a game changer vs cold during my night visit. If you like sangrias they are made to order. I do not know the how the tasted but the lady beside me liked the first glass enough to order a second My favorite tapa was the sardine on a wafer like cracker. The spinach-chickpea dish is a local dish that I tried since it is a dish to have in Seville. It was way too much for one person but I did my best. The artichokes were good. The menu outside and the inner ambiance (and the fact that the place was mostly empty, so we could easily get a table) called to us, so we decided to check this place out. Let it be known that a mostly empty restaurant does not mean the food will be so-so! My husband and I agreed that this place has the BEST pizza we've had anywhere! It's light, flavorful, thin and crispy, and just down-right delicious! Ostia Antica has a menu that has English descriptions, making it foreigner-friendly if you don't speak or read Spanish, and a ton of vegetarian and allergy friendly options (they have allergies listed out next to each dish on the menu). I ordered the pizza vegetal (vegetable pizza), which was vegetarian and awesome (with or without the chili oil- which I would recommend if you want to add heat/spice to your food) and my husband (not vegetarian) got the pizza iberica (recommended to him by our waitress). He said his pizza was super flavorful and amazing. The ambiance is quiet (probably because there were only a few other couples there) and cool. They also played a good music selection that added to the "chill" vibe. Finally, the waitstaff was amazing. They were really attentive, switched to English when they noticed us struggling with our Spanish, and were so nice (and funny!). We'll definitely be going back and would highly recommend this place!
