Long story short the the building I moved into has some issues with the roof, specifically water leaks. They came out and not only tested the roof but were patient and generous with answering all the questions I had from simple to complex. They are very professional and courteous, and fun to talk to. To the extent that they came back and did some repairs even though that's not really what they do but they were so simply they were happy to do it. I would HIGHLY recommend their services for whatever engineering need you may encounter. Sorry for the lack of pictures. We had relatives that were repeat customers of Vujovich and knew they had a good reputation. We started working with Ed Roskowinski, the General Manager, reviewing our home design. We appreciated his process during the proposal phase because he line-itemized their prices, making it easy for us to understand where our money was going and how to make choices to impact the budget. Ed was extremely knowledgeable, experienced and easy to work with. He helped us navigate the whole design-build process and the many decisions and budget related items that we had to make. He explained the many aspects of the build process that were foreign to us as we had never done this before. During the build phase, Ed went out to the job site several times, even though we had a dedicated project manager, to make sure the work was being done properly and course corrected when needed. Their staff designer, Beth Malmberg, was great to work with as well. I shared my Houzz Ideabooks and discussed the overall look I was trying to achieve. In our next meeting, Beth had put together selections for the whole house, including paint colors and tiles. I was blown away. She had nailed what I was looking for and 90% of what she had selected in that first meeting is in my house today. She made herself available throughout the build phase to help work through and design decisions where we needed extra input. Creating the house was really a fun process. Beth has a great design eye and helped us create a home that we really love. Paul Grachek, our project manager, was also a very experienced, talented and personable individual to work with. He was extremely responsive to our many on-going requests. He worked very hard to keep the subcontractors on schedule and moving ahead. After we moved into the home in March 2013, Paul was there on a regular basis finishing the punch list. He was like another member of our family. The build process was expected to take 6.5 months and Vujovich came within 2 weeks of their original estimate. As you would expect with a whole house build, a few snafus came up along the way. Vujovich always stood behind their work and went the extra mile to take care of us. We completed the project having an enormous amount of respect for the Vujovich Team and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking to build or remodel a home in the Twin Cities area.

Didn't reply to follow up emails leaving me feel compelled to share my experience. We were and are so impressed with his work that we commuted to Minneapolis, and they commuted to us in Lake Forest, IL. Our older home project (Kitchen, small addition, new bathroom, and family room) is nearing completion. From the builder, to the cabinet maker to the other major subs...they have all commented on what an "incredible" project this is. I am so proud of what we (my husband and I) with David, and Brad have created. It exceeds what I hoped for. So much design where we live is predictable, not very creative, and frankly...oversized...for an older home. David Heide, and Brad Belka are masters of restoration, updating, and renovation of older homes and also building from scratch. They understand human scale, materials, practical details, and fine craftspersonship. And, they know that all these elements count in the big picture. To be fair, read this whole review. There is some good here. Met them at a home show, liked what…read moreI heard. The planning process was great, their design talent is excellent. Their subcontractors/installers were sloppy, causing areas damage in my home (part-time residence). The punch list grew and grew. Table top damaged, TV stand very scratched, new dishwasher dent on front. They fixed what they could and I got (small) credit for what they couldn't. I was out for surgery and to be fair, I know there were two emails and at least two phone calls that were not returned to them (I was in a ton of pain). 2 weeks after they "supposedly" finished the job, they indicated there were turning the remaining (small) balance over to collections. We had not even inspected. So hire an attorney. We got back to the unit to find the countertop on the floor (it "popped" off), so much for finished? The kitchen faucet quit working (we replaced it). They did finally get the work finished. In the meantime the state of MN and the city of Minneapolis told me I had big problems - there were no building permits. Turns out the permits were applied for in the wrong name and address. Keep in mind that there is still a lien that was filed against me. DBC got this corrected. We finally settled on a fair final payment, but they refused to honor the $1000 off coupon we received at the home show. The coupon was for a complete bathroom remodel; we did that plus the kitchen.
