He gave me several injections of anesthetic. He then waited until it took effect. He was patient and was very concerned about my comfort. He was then able to push it out thru one of the drainage holes that had opened up over time without having to cut me. I am so grateful and relieved that it's over. After 30 minutes of treating me, He talked about how the toe became possibly infected and all the medical science behind what causes all the problems with my toe, even recommending to get rid of any cheap leather shoes I have and spend money on good quality shoes that will allow my foot to breathe, thus preventing issues in the future again. In regards to pain medicine, I'm happy he said I didn't need any and I could take aspirin or ibuprofen if I really needed to....that's a good sign in my opinion of a good, caring doctor.
