Well, I have to agree with Sandy's review. Not sure if anyone will read a review here but here I…read morego. First injection, nothing. Re schedule 2nd due to CoronaV. I'm scheduled for this coming Monday. It's Friday 4:25Pm and no one from his office has contacted me with the details of time and instructions. Lost count of the times I called the office and all I get are answering machines. Horrible customer service. Patient care??!? Hell no!! It's all about money. Like Sandy mentioned $3000!! Do you know how many procedures he's does a day? Take a guess... ? More than 30!! A day!! Can you multiply? Im so disappointed. I just want to finish with him and move to another Dr ASAP.

It is difficult me to rate a physician at a higher level than one star when I cannot even see said…read morephysician, but here is the story: Dr. Jackson gave me four epidural shots over two weeks for chronic neck pain with a scheduled follow-up with him. Instead of seeing him for the follow-up, I saw his PA even though there were numerous things I wanted to discuss with him, including the multiple side-effects that I suffered from the pain meds he prescribed. I also wanted to discuss the pain I suffered when the anesthesia was insufficient during one the epidurals and then when on the next procedure when the anesthesia was increased, the side effects that I suffered from the extra anesthesia. In that I could not speak with him, I did not bother to deal with some of it with his PA. Twice, his PA left the room to convey my comments to him. I could hear his voice through the closed door as she conveyed my statements. As an aside, the billing for each of the epidurals was $3000 a piece. I would think that generation of that much revenue would have justified a brief meeting with the physician with whom I scheduled the post procedure visit. Slightly ridiculous medicine! As an aside, during my first two morning visits to the Florida Orthopaedic Institute, there was no soap in the men's bathroom. Not good for a surgical center! Oh and yes, my 4 epidurals did not alleviate my pain!

This Doctor has no bedside manners. His ego shows. He is very rude, doesn't let you express your…read moreconcerns before he is cutting you off. His staff could improve their attitudes as well. However, I had my first knee replacement with Dr. Raterman in 2020, on my left knee. I had no issues, so when he told me back then, that my right knee which rarely bothered me, was worst than my left which was the one in excruciating pain, I decide to go with the one I had most pain with. Then in 2023, I chose him again, and suffer through his personality, thinking the results would be similar to my first surgery since it was same doctor. But this surgery he did it with the assistant of a robot. To improve my recovery I went just like in the first surgery to a rehab center, spent two weeks doing physical therapy and then did outpatient physical therapy as well. I kept complaining to physical therapy, and to doctor Raterman, and his very caring nurse practitioner Dr. Wicker, that something felt different and not in a good way. I was in pain, I couldn't sleep if I laid on my right side. I finished physical therapy and it's documented of my complaint. I went home and continued my exercises for months, but the pain just wouldn't go away. Because of Raterman's attitude I started seen is nurse practitioner which sent me 2 or 3 different times to get MRIs done, the mechanical equipment would come out fine. It showed swelling even a year and half later, even two years later. They gave me different medications and nothing helped. I started loosing strength in my knee, I couldn't even lead with that leg to go up a small flight of stairs. If I was getting off the side walk I had to make sure I did it in a way I didn't bend that knee because I would be in tears. I started developing like lumps under my skin, like cyst. So, I decided in April of 2025 to put up with Raterman again and go talk to him, since he did the surgery. Like always is demeanor is so bad. When I started to inform him of what I was feeling, immediately, he cut me off, and said to me and I qoute" So I guess you think I have some miracle WD-40 to spray it and fix your knee" he said this with a straight face. I told him it was not that; but it makes no sense, two years later I am worse than I was before surgery. I've complained for two years in horrible pain. His answer was, unless you think it's that bad that it's worth me going in and destroying all that I did. He took it personally, it was about what he did and not about my pain. Like I said before the MRIs, shows swelling all the time. The mechanical part is fine, but something got hurt in there and I am paying the price. Raterman just gave me a referral for physical therapy again. He said there is nothing he can do, in a way so cold and uncaring. It shows he doesn't care, and I am still in pain and looking for a second opinion. I have called my insurance and informed them as well, they will be investigating. I know something is wrong, I feel it everyday. If you need a surgery, please don't go here, safe yourself the grief. Raterman, only cares about his ego. Good luck.

The practice made multiple mistakes from scheduling surgery to writing a correct prescription for pain killers. It took 12 calls over 3 weeks to get enough pain killers to deal with the nerve damage. Wait times were often over an hour to see Dr. Raterman. He never once called to express any concern for the damage he caused. The practice is working over capacity and Dr Raterman has too much ego to take responsibility. I can't run (or do lots of things) anymore, but you should run if you're thinking if going here!

I was upset. After getting into the examination room with the "filler physican assistant". he pulled up the x-ray. i asked hi. to pull up my MRI and he said they didn't have it. he left and the front desk clerk came and threw my Disc on the table and said mine were erased or not compatible with there system. I could have brought my laptop with me if I had any idea they would not be prepared to see them. additionalply when Dr. Watson appeared I gave him a hard copy of my images and pathology report. he was not interested in looking at them. didn't even acknowledge the pages in front of him. he recommended a steroid shot and I felt bullied into it. he also recommended physical therapy and said he would give me a prescription. when I checked out at the front desk, I asked for the prescription and the clerk told me I would receive a call from my pharmacy. in what universe do you get a prescription from a pharmacy for PT. At that point I was done with this whole production and waist of my time, energy, and expenses. i felt scammed by the medical industry. no matter what questions you ask upfront or how you are massaged when you book an appointment, always get a referral. The operation is very disconnected and each department has their own job and they don't seem to have it together.
