I waited until February to go because they had sold so many deals and classes had apparently gotten pretty full. If you've never dine Zumba before, I definitely suggest looking into it to see if it's the right fit for you. There's a lot of side-to-side movement that may not be great for your knees or hips if you've had any trouble with them. I've also had some bizarre troubles with my shoulders and have been talking about it with my chiropractor. If you decide Zumba is something you can and want to do, D2D is a great place to go. Your first class is free and after that there are lots of membership options to fit your needs. I like the freedom of being able to come to classes when I choose, which fits my unpredictable schedule. The facility is very nice, easy to get to, lots of parking and the staff are friendly and very welcoming. I usually go to classes when Richelle is instructing. I like her energy and her instruction style. Some of the footwork can be a little complicated, but it's easy to pick up again. It's also easy to modify the steps and movements if something doesn't feel right, or if you lack the coordination necessary to do the full step. I may or may not struggle with this problem frequently :) It's a safe space, so I don't feel like there are people judging me if I don't do it "just right" which I really like and am always concerned about with group classes. I have seen that so e moms bring their kids and the kids do homework off to the side during the class, so that's a great option if you've got a little bit older, self-directed child(ren). The only downside I can mention is that classes do tend to be a bit large, so it's hard to impossible to ask questions during the class or ask about modifications. Which also means that if you're doing a movement in a way that might injure you, you probably won't be corrected. But, the counter to that is that the instructors are always available before and after classes to talk and answer questions. In all, I'd highly recommend Dare 2 Dance to all. In addition to Zumba, they also have instructional ballroom dancing classes and sessions and host various events quite often. Check it out & maybe I'll see you at Zumba!

Got a Groupon for Dare to Dance a few days ago. Called to set up our consultation and man who…read morepicked up was not pleasant. He asked what the dance class was for, I said a wedding, and he goes "oh godddd" under his breath and says "okay well this class isn't for weddings". I mentioned the Groupon didn't say anything about that and he says "well I've tried to get it up and it's very hard. Plus you also need a first dance song if you don't have that no one can help you" and hung up. Horrible customer service. Don't recommend

dance is fun, i used to be a dancer that's why i was so enraged by mason dance center. I went to…read moretake my sister in for dress rehearsal since she's in ballet. We go in to her class and she whispers "these aren't the kids in my class..." and i go why they are dressed exactly the same way you are with a confused look. then the teacher comes out and says "oh this is a different class, same costume" you might think i'm overreacting but wait until what comes next. The kids with the SAME COSTUME also have the SAME SONG. what is this? this is more confusing than the narnia books. Who allowed abs approved the idea of similar age groups too have the same exact song and costume? Every other parent in there was just as confused as i was. I probably sound entitled, like a Karen, and like i am overreacting like i said before but this ticked me off. We got there at the same time we do every week to this class that has never been there at this time, in that studio. I have never seen those kids in that studio before so you can see my confusion on why children with the same exact costume in a different studio than ever confused me. I think this is a very inefficient way of running a dance studio. For the last time, yes i know i am probably overreacting but this enraged me and thought i should share.
