Greta Leeming is one of the most well-known dance schools in Canada, and they are particularly…read moreknown for ballet. It has quite the reputation for having the most graceful and amazing ballet dancers. I took ballet lessons here, and had the pleasure of meeting and being taught by Greta Leeming herself. Their ballet is very classical and I remember it being very strict in terms of proper posture, form, and grace. Our classes would be a combination of stretching, learning different techniques, and practicing our group dances for our on-stage performances. You would think such classical ballet would be very serious, but all of us had a lot of fun while doing it, and it wasn't like it was a chore. I really enjoyed taking ballet here, and I wish that I could have continued on with it, as many of my friends at other dance studios speak so highly of Greta Leeming.

They are very tough on the children, and should be a school for those with a very good self-esteem. We did one year and a half there. Then,they decided to not respond to my emails to refund me for my child classes, which we decided after the first class(second year) it wasn't the right level. We where being forced to only take the classes they wanted, didn't matter it was recreational, or the same classes where being offered on different days. I was being ignored and refuse to ever recommend this school for children or youth.

And Klassic the instructor was fantastic, paced his class for the people who were there and made it suitable for everyone's level while keeping it challenging and funky. I've been in studios that feel cliquey and intimidating, this place was the total opposite of that. Will definitely be back when I'm back in Ottawa and can get out there. The teachers have ALOT of experience under their belts and have travelled across the world to craft their skills. You can really see that they love teaching and they love what they do. The atmosphere is nice here - you take a class here and everyone vibes along. Instead of competing against one another. You don't feel like you're being judged here. Love this place!
