I called this business and the person on the phone welcomingly responded to my problem by saying "bring it in and let's take a look". I got there when they first opened and came to learn that was Jami who answered my call. I tried on my dress and he put together a plan. He literally added material to my dress so perfectly and beautifully that he not only made the dress look better, but it zipped up seamlessly. They also squeezed in alterations for my sisters 3 days prior to the wedding. I stopped in here on my lunch break as I work nearby. The lady was super quick to take me and pin up my pants to my liking. She told me the pants would be ready at 4 pm. The alteration cost $20, which seems pretty steep to me, but once again, I don't have comparable rates and a quick Google search says it should only be around $10. Maybe the price was jumped for same day, even though I didn't ask for that? Who knows. Either way, if I'm in a bind and need somewhere that I can go during working hours, here it is. Andrew the owner chargeed me an extra 1.00 each time this happened (this should have been taken care of by them for a loyal customer). As a result, I started taking my shirts to the place next door Sun Chinese Hand Laundry (two lovely people) and they do an outstanding job with shirts and the service is amazing!!! Up until last week I still did alterations and dry cleaning with East Meadow Cleaners. However, the past two years any alterations I had done were done poorly. Hems would fall out and not be completely sewed around. I just spent $211.00 in December to alter pants in the waste and inseam and they were yet again not done well. When I asked last week if they could be fixed and done correct the owner Andrew wanted to charge me another 18.00 per each pair of paints to do the work again. After spending over 1,000 a year for dry cleaning and alterations I found a new place. I could no longer support a place that does such lousy work and does not stand behind their work

Good enough place to do dry cleaning…read more Pros: really cheap (ex. I got two suits and one slacks dry cleaned and 5 shirts laundered, and it all was only $20.) Cons: very slow. Seriously, only bring your clothing here if you won't need it for 4-5 days because that's how long it will take.
