But we still gave him another chance with our engagement party. The pictures were so horrible (very few pictures of us; mostly were food and group pictures) that we freaked out and had to cancel the contract 2 weeks before our wedding. I know it was very late to cancel the contract but I would definitely regret to have him as my wedding photographer. His work ethic was unacceptable in the sense that he was busy enjoying himself at the engagement party than doing his job as a professional photographer. I was very upset seeing that from our engagement video. Our photos were definitely not comparable to the sample photo albums that we saw. Only if I can give a 0 star rating, I would! Just a note to bribe who want to shop for a budget photographer in the area.

We got TWO photographers, which is awesome because while one is taking posed photos, the other is snapping candid photos (those always make for great photos.) The price was awesome! Both photographers were professional, fun, happy to be there, and creative with posing. They were patient and not once did my family feel like they were rushing us. The photos are amazing!!!!! We had a long list of shots and poses we wanted, and they made sure every photo was covered the way we wanted it to be done. My family is one that isn't picky with things, but when they find someone or something they love we stick with it. EVERY family member commented even days later that they will use Tallen Photography for every event from now on.

Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Melanie had a timeline of everything that needed to get done (even the little things) and she made sure we were on-schedule. She gave us excellent vendor recommendations (people told us that the food was the best they've had at a wedding, and the band was a huge hit as well!). She was extremely responsive and would even have us send her things we liked from Instagram for inspiration. Every time we got off the phone with her we would look at each other and say "I'm so glad we have Melanie on our team." She kept us on-budget and helped us understand what it was worth it to spend on as we searched for venues, caterers, bands, flowers, and more. During the wedding week and weekend, Melanie kept everyone calm and on-task. She made sure all the tents, tables, chairs, etc were delivered on-time and everyone was where they should be. She took care of all the "little things" that we didn't think of and even coordinated our rehearsal. The event was beautiful, and we owe a lot of that to Melanie's tasteful suggestions. (She also let us borrow a lot of her own things like signs and a cake stand.) Melanie was always one or two steps ahead of us on wedding day, and we didn't have to think about where we should be for photos or speeches- we really go to enjoy the day and be present. Ron is the owner of Cinematic Stories, and when I discovered his website I was in tears as I watched video after video. I have never seen anything like it. His website labels the videos as films and I understand why. After my daughter and I watched a few together, we got on the phone to make sure he had our wedding date was available. When speaking with Ron it was clear that he loves what he does. We booked him that night. Ron met us for dinner about three weeks before the wedding, which really allowed us to fee as if he was part of our family on the wedding day. The weather on the wedding day was perfect and thanks to our wedding planner and amazing vendors the day went smoothly. It was eight days after the wedding when my daughter received an email from Ron letting her know that their highlight film was ready to view. EIGHT days later!!!! The kids had just returned home from their Honeymoon. Ron suggested that they watch it for the first time on a large TV, so we all together that evening for movie night. Wow! My husband and I were in tears as we watched the video, and my daughter and son-in-law were equally amazed by what he had created. My daughter barely remembered the events of the day, and she felt this was an opportunity to attend her own wedding. Everything was so beautifully captured and the video will be watched over and over again in the days, weeks, and years to follow. If you know anyone getting married the first call you should make is to Ron and Cinematic Stories to make sure he has your date available. 5 stars isn't high enough.
