Easily made an appointment with V for a body piercing a couple of days before coming in. Right away, I was attended to by the woman at the front desk and checked in. I had to answer a COVID questionnaire, had my temperature taken, verified my ID, and paid for my scheduled services. Within 15min of my appointment time, I was taken to a private room in the back with V, who was super personable and professional. She helped me keep my cool, walked me through the whole procedure, and what I have to do as far as after-care along with a print out of all the same information she gave me verbally. I went here about 5 months ago wanted a Cheshire Cat tattoo. A female artist agreed to do the work, I am 65 years old and apparently she is not use to do older skin. She didn't have her normal pen she tattoos with and was struggling my skin was bleeding and she was panicking she didn't even finish the tattoo and said she couldn't do any more and took my money and sent me on my way. After about a month I spoke to the manager and showed them the picture and the tattoo they responded very fast said they wanted someone else to finish it and yo come to meet him. I was very excited he told me to wait about a month and give him a call, he did finish the tattoo and went over some of her with he told me however you can't fix mess up's, two months since he worked on tattoo the hat is still really hard not smooth has blood mixed on with the color and the face and around the tattoo has black smudges, this really bothers me my daughter got one and hers was perfect . The guy that was fixing never said come back if your not happy or any problems he gave me the impression he was pretty much finished with me. I started thinking about it and looked for other mad hatter tattoos and figured maybe I could get some color put in his face to cover up the bad I went somewhere else because if someone messed my hair up I wouldn't keep going back and someone could have got back with me to see if it's ok, the lady did a wonderful job on his face but the hat still isn't healed after 3.months I'm hoping at some time I can get it fixed. Shawn Havron he works at Artisan Tattoo 5720 Hoggard Rd suite b, Norfolk, VA 23502 THE ORIGINAL DESIGN WAS HIS DESIGN NOT MINE. Be sure to look at the color difference and look at the difference in the spacing between the blue and the existing Ink, the top blue touches everything in the bottom blue doesn't. I paid $600 for this. He tattooed the blue background on my arm(only half was finished because of his poor work). He did it in 2 separate sessions. The 1st session he did the top with dark blue & he didn't leave room between the blue ink and the existing black ink. The 2nd session he did the bottom with lighter blue & he left space between the blue ink and the existing black ink. I talked to a lot of artists and they confirmed this is a horrible tattoo job. I confronted him about it and he said he used two different blues on the bottom during the 2nd session because he was using the last of 2 bottles and thought that it would blend. Then said that now seeing it together his plan of mixing those 2 blues didn't work which left it with a different color blue then the blue on the top. I can't trust him to tattoo on me again. I don't want anybody in his shop to try and fix it because they may retaliate for their fellow artist. I'm going to ask for a refund. He denied the refund. I reached out to the owner of artisan body piercing and tattoos which is Katie Schemmel, we spoke back and forth for a few weeks to see about her paying to get it fixed. Now she said she's only going to offer $150 to help finish the tattoo. I told her I wanted to give her a good chance to make things right before I leave a full review of my experience. In the end it seems she does not care and is not going to help pay to get this tattoo fixed and finished. read more

Had an excellent experience here tonight. My friend got a piercing and my hubby got a tattoo. I'll start with the piercing: great price; it came out to right around $20 for the piercing and cleaner. One person was allowed in the back so i went. I literally only had time to ask her piercer, Cat, if i could take a picture (no pics allows in the back) and *pop* she was done. My friend didn't even have time to think about being nervous before the piercing was complete. My friend stated it was one of the best piercing experiences she had had and it came out fantastic. Tattoo: Hubby's tattoo was done by Kai who it sounded like is a relatively new artist to the shop. We asked if they were accepting walk-ins for a relatively basic tattoo and he got us right in. He showed us as he opened everything up and explained his machine's set up as it was different than anything i had seen. He was very friendly and was patient as both he and i explained the tattooing process to my friend who is considering getting a tattoo. He did a beautiful job on the tattoo. The lines are very clean and dark and he was done pretty quick. Although some people don't like this (i prefer it) Kai charges per hour and that hour isn't including breaks. He is working every minute you pay him for. The shop itself is very clean and the ladies at the counter seemed friendly and willing to answer questions. Another great experience! Set an appointment for a Saturday for me and my best friend to come in. Friend had a consultation for her nose due to strict rules for COVID of course! I scheduled the next available online an hour after hers to have an ear piercing. Came in, super clean, professional, friendly and attentive with it being super busy! They squeezed us both back to back, gave lots of advice and info when asked for piercings and jewelry. Paperwork was easy to fill out online! Got my double helix done here and it was fast and easy! The piercer( think her name is V) was nice and told me to use saline on it daily and leave it alone basically! Before I started nursing school, I had to take out my second lobe piercings and sadly, they closed up. Now that I'm done with that nonsense, I decided to get them redone and add Tragus piercings. Might as well, right? After researching the internet, I chose Artisan. We went on a Monday night around 7pm and they were packed. We were in and out of there in about 30 minutes. They charged $10 per lobe and $15 per Tragus piercing. I added bling for $5 each. I read all about V online and I'm happy to say it's all true. She is sweet, knowledgeable, and efficient. She helps put you at ease before, during, and after the whole process. In fact, I went back the next day because one of my piercings was not where I wanted it to be. I had an appointment with Kyle for piercings, and unfortunately I did not even make it that far. It was very busy, which is to be expected for a Saturday. I asked a girl behind the counter where the restroom was because I had been holding my bladder to make it to my appointment on time. She told me it was around the corner and another customer pointed down the hallway so I headed that direction looking and the other counter girl with dreads ask me what I was doing in the most rude voice, and when I told her I needed to use the restroom before my appointment she told me that they do not have public restrooms and that I needed to go across the street to Boston Market. I find this unacceptable for multiple reasons why would clients getting tattooed for hours not be allowed to use the restroom? And how do the clients wash their hands? read more
